  I got a (currently non-prepared) new HP EliteBook 840 G3 Notebook PC I want to drop Windows 7 (64-bit) enterprise on.  But while trying to configure the operating system via a USB stick or a DVD - ROM drive, I get the following message from the Windows installation after you click 'Install now':

  "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now. »

  If one of your great technicians could direct me to where is this driver and how to install it, I would be very grateful.

  Hi, Nick.

  The problem with your laptop is Skylake chipset and lack of USB3 drivers in your windows installation media.

  Skylake chipset does not have USB2 support until after you have installed the chipset driver.

  The solution to your dilemma is to run this tool on a PC with W8.1 or W10.

  There is a readme instruction link (found in the section release notes), which will provide you with the information that needed to get the W7 to install on your PC.

  Hi, so it confused me for a long time now. I have this problem where my backlight ISN'T want to change to any other color but BLUE and its only the right side of the keyboard. The Start button / stop and the speakers are an exception to this decision apparently. I don't know exactly when it happened, but it has affected my computer for a while now. At this point im thinking a factory reset might do the trick, but I don't want to go through the long fight to take back to his feet. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions?   To be honest I don't understand your provider. Each manufacturer offers different portable model with different model name or model number so that customers can find presentation on the manufacturers web page.

  Different models have same hardware platform, so I don't know how to help you with your question. Ask her to model exact name or model number, so we can find the exact specification for laptop on the toshiba support page.

  When I bought the Tm2 a few years back, I not create a system for her recovery disk. Now that I have the ProBook 640, and realize how much faster it is... I want to do a restart of the system on the Tm2 and add the extra 4 gigs of RAM.

  The proBook 640 came with recovery disks when I bought it...  Anyone know if I could also use them for the tm2?

  Probably an obvious answer to this... I just haven't the experience or the knowledge base.

  Is there a manual hardware for laptop HP 15-ay011nr?  If this is not the case, how the hard drive is replaced?

  This laptop is quite a departure from my experience with servers and previous HP laptops.  I was able to easily find the manual equipment for each different computer server or HP laptop I worked on, not the same with 15-ay011nr.  On any other HP laptop, I was able to find the rear covers to replace the memory and hard drive, not the same for this laptop.  There is no lid at the back of this laptop.

  Here are a few points to note when replacing your HARD drive:

  You are not limited to any particular drive manufacturer.

  The speed of rotation of the disc can be 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM

  The new drive HARD should be at least the same capacity (or slightly more is okay) as the original drive - mounting a drive smaller than the original often causes risks with recovery media.
