RAM Expansion Acer aspire AX1800-E1232

Hello

I have an Acer aspire AX1800-E1232 and wanted to update the current 4 GB 8 GB ram. I bought 2 x 4 GB Ballistix DDR3 - 1600 and I tried install but they will not fit. The ram slots match up with the slots on the motherboard.

Is anyway to fix this?

I always thought that the ram is pretty universal, why the 2 x 4 GB Ballistix DDR3 - 1600, doesn't fit DO NOT in my Acer aspire AX1800-E1232 stock motherboard?

Hi FadderBeef!

No, RAM is not universal (that you've found!). There are 2 main types (for modern machines) and DDR3 & DDR2, which now gets a little old. Then there are speeds too!

Best thing to do is to install Crucial System Scanner . It will scan your system and Advisor & recommend the right RAM for your PC.

It is very similar to the ES1 - 511, if you are quite confident, follow the video, otherwise take it to a local technician in your area, well prepare, protect with anti-static bracelet, take the time to disassemble the laptop.

  • RAM in Acer Aspire E5 - 571

I bought this laptop to the beginning of this year, and honestly I like it very much.  I don't have a lot of problems with it at all!  Then Fallout 4 came out...  It keeps crashing again and again and it's quite annoying!  So I thought of a way to make the computer run more quickly without having to basically replace all, was to buy some more ram.  It came with a 2 GB and 4 GB memory ddr3.  I checked the Task Manager and belarc advisor, and both said that my motherboard has 4 RAM bus slots.  Then, I got 2 more 4 GB ddr3.  After disassemble the laptop (and accidentally almost stripping one of the points of contact on the flat wire, they did not have it easy!)  I only moved the aluminum? STIP back a bit and just had to straighten back.  Phew!)  I've seen only 2 slots of bus.  I thought that maybe there are two stacked on another, but it's not.  Why all think that my computer has 4 slots of bus?  Are there really 4 bus locations and I'm just not see them?  I highly doubt it, but I guess that's a possibility...  Photos below show belarc and Task Manager results.

    Hello

Your laptop has 2 memory slots and supports up to 16 GB - DDR3L - 1600 MHz. You can also check with HWINFO portable version (without installation).

  • The warranty will be void if I upgrade the RAM on the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581?

The warranty will be void if I upgrade the RAM on the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581? I read that one of the slots of RAM is expandable to 8 GB. Also some of the models M3 have SSDS, according to my specifications mine is not, is it possible to put my own in?

    Thank you.

    Nice day

    1. regarding upgrading to SSD and memory size max, please send me the part number of your machine or your serial number and I will advise you with accurate information.

    2. with regard to upgrading the ram, you can do it, BUT if damage you no matter which component while improving the security, then the warranty is voided. Also note that if you upgrade the ram, Acer will only cover its own warranty parts. If the ram you add becomes faulty, you will need to return the ram to the person / reseller you buy.

    Kind regards

  • I want to improve my Acer Aspire E5 - 571G - 57CS of 4 GB of RAM DDR3 L for a 8 GB of RAM. Is this possible?

And if the answer is Yes, then the warranty service would free it will affect my warranty? In addition, should what kind of RAM I look for if I want to upgrade? Aries will be added to the existing RAM and it will replace it?

I'm sorry for so many questions, my English and my ignorance when it comes to upgrading a laptop. And is all what I should know about upgrading RAM as it might damage the data on my disk, etc. ?

    Notes:

I still have the warranty and the stamp is still there.

    Data sheet:

    • Intel Core i5-5200U 2.20 GHz
    • NVIDIA GeForce dedicated 820 m with 2 GB of VRAM
    • HARD DRIVE 500 GB
    • 4GB DDR3 Memory (RAM) L
    • Windows 10 Pro (i think)

I know not if Acer will modernize under warranty, you must remove the motherboard to increase the RAM, the installation of CPU - Z to find out the exact your RAM specifications, then buy with timing and characteristics and to update yourself, if you are not sure to dismantle get performed by a technician on site, you can find the cost of this upgrade for your support of Acer local as they can do for one, compare prices with the quote from your local technician.

You will lose all the data from your hard drive because of the upgrade of RAM but I tell reflect you to back up the entire system on an external hard drive using Macrium or similar utility.

This is to show you how to upgrade and what is at stake:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmsFDi_qsnQ

This is just one example to show how to find the upgrade for your laptop and you don't need to buy Crucial memory, any brand works as long as they match the same characteristics as your current RAM.

I have ACER Aspire V3 - 574 G - 7198 and I would like to know what size of RAM can handle my motherboard? I know that the my processor can handle up to 16 GB of RAM, now I have installed only 4 GB of RAM (original), but I want to update to 12 GB of RAM. I want to know if my motherboard can handle?

I have received and read your private message. Yes, you can install 8 GB + 4 GB (current module). They will work at 1600 instead of 800 MHz (single channel). You will see the difference!

Here are the compatible memory modules:

If you have the budget, I recommend buying a set of 16 GB (2x8Gb).

  • Acer Aspire R7 update - 571 RAM memory

I have an Acer Aspire R7-571. On the card it says that the RAM can be extended up to 12 GB of RAM. I can still put 16 Meg RAM? Would it be more useful or would that be a problem? Right now I have 2 x 4 GB. Thank you

First of all, you shouldn't need more than 8 GB total unless you do something REMARKABLY memory-intensive. My high-end desktop computer has 8 GB and it would be cheap and easy for me to change that to 16 GB, but it is simply not worth it. 8GB is fine for 98% of the population, if your uses include office, even high-end navigation on Internet or games.

If YOU really need more than 8 GB, I think that you will be limited to 12 GB. On the R7, 4 GB tends to be soldered on the motherboard. You can replace your other 4 GB SODIMM with a 8GB SODIMM for 12GB total.

You can always get a torx screwdriver and open it to look.

But you should be fine with 8.

If you are looking for a performance boost, according to this Factsheet you linked, the R7-571 in your country does understand not all SSD. You should have a port empty MSATA that you can use with an MSATA SSD. Pass your windows the 1 TB HDD for an MSATA SSD will make much more sensitive.

  • Acer Aspire One d270 ram upgrade

I recently bought a netbook Acer Aspire One D270-1806. It comes with 1 GB of Ram.

I'm looking for this move to 2 GB. I could not find a service manual for this netbook.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I've seen some posts saying that the upgrade of ram D270 was deemed not user replaceable. Although Acer may have tried not user replaceable; It is altogether. It was so easy. I went on the standard of 1 GB of Ram for a 2 GB key in about 10 minutes.

  • Upgrade of RAM Acer Aspire 1830 t

    Greetings,

I'm running into a problem to upgrade the RAM on my Aspire 1830 t-3425.  There currently 2x2G of PC3-8500 ram in it, but I found the information that says that it will take up to PC3-10600 ram 2x4G.  (http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Aspire%201830T%20TimelineX&Cat=RAM is my source)

I tried two different sets (from two different manufacturers, Corsair and Patriot) and they both met the same problem.  Once installed, I can reboot the system and look in the bios to confirm that the system sees the RAM, it does.  However, when the system continues to boot in Windows 7, the start screen displays for only a few seconds before the system restarts.  Running MemTest +, I can see that the system analyzes only the first 4 GB of ram, until the system restarts.

I have two questions at this stage.

    (1) is there something I'm missing in what concerns the type of ram that will support this laptop?  I can't find the hard specs on what requirements should memory be for this laptop.

    (2) at - it something wired or set in the bios that prevents the system to accept more than 4 GB of ram?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

    Kzorith

    Hello again!

As I said before, I never knew Crucial to be wrong, but I have a feeling that they might well be this time!

Everything indicates that 4 GB is the maximum:

Your PC not recognizing 4 GB

    Own SpecSheet from Acer

The discussion of other users of 1830 t confirming it on Amazon

If the maximum of your motherboard is 4 GB, it is not possible to upgrade more far away...
