RAM Y510 speed

That the maximum speed of the bus the Y510 access RAM at? I know this fact 667 MHz on my own, but if she can go up to 800 MHz?

These laptops are based on Intel 965 m and 960gl chipsets, and those can manage only SO-DIMM DDR2 533/677 mHz.

Although you can insert RAM 800 mhz and it will work, its speed will be 677 mhz.

Future mobile platforms will use the 800 mhz RAM.

  • How can I determine the RAM bus speed?

    Hello

I installed the new 4 GB RAM replacing the previously installed 3 GB of RAM. The previous 3 GB of RAM has the 667 MHz bus speed (I found it in the user manual). The new 4 GB of RAM, the seller told me that has the 800 MHz bus speed. Now, I want to be sure that the seller does not deceive me, and he gave me the speed of 800 MHz RAM bus. How can I determine my installed RAM bus speed? My system configuration is the following:

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

    2.1 GHz Core2Duo

    4 GB OF DDR2 RAM

    Intel GMA 4500MHD

    Model: Acer Aspire 5738

I have two modules of DDR2 soDIMM, previously, I had a 1 GB DDR2 667 MHz + a 2 GB DDR2 667 MHz RAM = 3 GB DDR2 667 MHz RAM (in my manual of the system provided by Acer)

Now, after replacing, I have two 2 GB DDR2 800 MHz RAM = 4GBD DDR2 800 MHz RAM (as the salesman told me and I saw written in the package when he was unpacking and installation)

How can I determine my RAM bus speed and be confirm that I really learned the 800 MHz? Please someone help me with this. Thank you.

Four ways I see real quick:
1 - the label on the RAM (assuming that it is there, and this truct you he has not changed it).
2 - install the CPU-Z.  It will be listed in the memory tab.
3 - install Belarc Advisor.  It also lists only (as well as much more information on the system.)
4 take a look at the POSITION of the screen when the system boots - he must view RAM info.

All the foregoing, guess however that isn't only MHz 800 RAM installed, but that the system is actuallyrunning at 800 MHz.
Here, CPU - Z is the best choice, because it will give you the actual manufacturer for RAM; You can use it to find the specifications of the manufacturer.

  • Satellite A80 129 DVD-RAM write speed problem

    Hi all!

I have a problem. the thing is that I want to write in NERO 6 (last version purchased) a CD or DVD, but we will only write to me at slow speeds. In this laptop I MAST * a DVD-RAM UJ-830 s with DVD-R 8 x and 24 x CD - R write speed said.

When I try to write on a CD it gives me only 16 x write speed, then where is x 24? It goes same for DVD, as I want to burn DVDs and it gives me only 2 x write speed.

Please, do not put this fault on a CD or DVD, cause in my country there are limited suppliers of this type of media, so I won't change my media. They worked with my previous PC CD - RW fine, no speed problem.

I want to know also if this is lack of DVD - RAM, where then find firmware for this burner?

    Thanks for your replies.

You should try to update nero, it might solve the problem.

    2 - Samsung module M4 70T2864QZ3-CF7 [800 MHz] 1 GB
    GPU: Intel GM45
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5870 Mobile @ 2000 MHz
According to the manufacturer, this kit allows you to work with the 667/800 MHz memory speed, but the problem is that reference programs show the actual frequency of the ram at 399 MHz.

    Question No. 1:
    (a) why not clock the memory works in 800 MHz but only 399 MHz,
    (b) how to change to a 800 MHz

    Question No. 2:
I'm going to buy a processor
    Penryn Core 2 Duo T9600 processor (1066 MHz FSB) (2.80 G) Hz or T9400 (2.53 G)
and install it in the computer
and increase the memory of 2 x 4 GB 800 MHz (8 GB)

I explained that this possibility is provided for by the manufacturer according to the Maintenance Manual for:

If this operation will help to improve system performance

I put t know what programs you use and if it is good or not if this info can be good and perhaps not. I put t know. The fact is that you n t have one any influence on the functionality of memory and I doubt that you can do something and change some values.

Exact specification for laptop laptop does not for me but I think that Satellite L300 must have Intel GM45 chipset and I presume that for your motherboard FSB is 667 MHz. You can improve up to 8 GB and compatible 4 GB RAM module has PA3670U-1M4G part number.

  • RAM frequency/speed to 3000 Y410?

Anyone know what is the maximum speed of RAM for Y410 7757?

I am currently using a 2 GB DDR2 800 MHz with Win XP, but I don't see the speed of the RAM since my BIOS cannot be displayed.

There a speed limit and it can support up to 1066 Mhz RAM?

I looked for the document on the web, but it is currently not available.

    Someone please guide me.

The Y410 uses the GM965 chipset. This chipset supports a maximum memory 667 MHz. You say that it has installed its 800 MHz memory. However, a check by PC Wizard will show you that it is clocked at 667 MHz and not 800 MHz. memory 1066 MHz is out of the question. Only the DDR3 memory runs at 1066 MHz and DDR3 memory is not compatible with DDR2 memory.

  • Acer Aspire 3680 RAM upgrade speed

I have a 2 x 512 MB of RAM running on 533 DDR2 on Acer Aspire 3680. Do I need an upgrade to the speed of memory DDR2 667 on Acer Aspire 3680?

    Hello Charles,

Thank you for reaching out to us to Microsoft Community.

I understand that you want to know if need to upgrade RAM on your Acer Aspire 3680 laptop. Ideally, if you are facing problems with low performance or you want to speed up the performance of your computer, then it is considered a good idea to upgrade RAM.

RAM is an acronym for "random access memory". The "random" part means that any byte of memory can be recovered without touching the previous byte.

    Note:

If you are considering upgrading RAM, make sure that it is compatible with the motherboard of the computer as an incompatible RAM can result in no start-up situation. If you are not comfortable opening the laptop to insert the RAM, I would recommend that you contactAcer support for more information about the compatible RAM and also ask them to install the RAM on your computer.

Hope that the information provided is useful. Let us know in case you need assistance while working in Windows.

  • IdeaPad S205 RAM/memory: maximum speed?

    Hello

Lenovo customer service/tech support I asked this question several times, each to give me an answer to 1066 mhz.

What is the maximum SPEED for the RAM/memory usable by the S205 with AMD Fusion the E450 processor?

I understand 8G (2 slots of 4G) is the maximum capacity of ram.

But what is the maximum speed of the ram? I thought that the maximum allowance is 1 066 mhz due to the site, despite the AMD website, saying that the E450 can manage 1333 mhz.

Obviously, I want to max out my RAM. I went on the site of Kingston and used the option to locate specific RAM for this device and it gave rise to 1 066 mhz 2X4G sticks. So I bought and it just. I just want to come here and see if someone actually KNOWS what as the maximum speed capability (or anything else I should be aware of outside Gig capacity) which can take the S205 with AMD Fusion the E450.

    EDIT:
In new research, I found the following.

    (1) according to the support of crucial technology, the RAM frequency/speed is controlled by the processor CPU only. And as said by him, the AMD 300 and 350 have a maximum speed of control for the RAM of 1066 mhz. However the E450 has a 'controller memory integrated (up to 1333 MHz) DDR3"as seen go ( http://www.lenovo.com/shop/americas/content/pdf/system_data/s205_tech_specs.pdf ).

Also note that just below him, he goes on to say that the maximum speed for RAM is at 1066 mhz. Therefore, this disturbs more the issue. It seems to me that, when they are max memory capacity and speed, they forgot that the E450 can manage more of the E300 and E350 and simply serve their maximum speed of 1066.

I already went ahead and bought 2X4G 1066 RAM. Fortunately, I did not open them. But now it comes to ship to the company and having to order the good 1333 mhz RAM. Otherwise I use RAM that is slower than my full potential.

I advanced and called Lenovo and it brought to their attention. After the daughter of back and forth between 1066 and 1333, she decided at the end (of course assistance from their technical support level 2) 1333 is maximum for E450.

    Conclusion:
It seems that if you have E450, you may have to 1333.

If you have E300 or 350, you can have 1066.

If anyone has confirmation, please tell.

If you go to the Lenovo support site and enter the serial number of your S205, if will give you a list of all the machine components (including the RAM module manufacturer, size, speed, etc.).

The manual indicates that the specification of RAM for my S205 1066.  By entering my serial number, I found that Lenovo had actually installed 1333 RAM in my system.  Then, when I added more RAM, I knew to add 1333 instead of 1066.

No, I didn't bother to check my actual speed of the RAM.

  • difference in speed of upgrade memory P7-1154

    Hey there.

I am running the original 1333 MHz, 6 GB of RAM that came with this computer.  I am maxing out the RAM, in speed and size, this Christmas.  Yet, I am running in a quandry.  Information for my PC from the HP site says that my p7-1154 can take 1333 and 1600 1866 MHz for the RAM, but the 1866 MHz are listed as PC3 14400, although the real to 1866 x 8 multiplier is 15000, more or less... with only 1800 MHz multiplying to 14400.  I have two questions.  First of all, PC3 15000, 1866 MHz RAM will work in this machine, or is it mandatory to use only PC3 14400, 1866 MHz RAM?  Secondly, is it possible to ensure that any new 1866 MHz RAM I buy will run to 1866 MHz (I've met at least one person here who has my computer model even and new, faster than 1333 MHz RAM no were limited in speed to 1333 MHz)?

    Thanks for any response.

    -crys

Yes, to 1866 MHz, exact transfer rate is 14933⅓ or 14900.  Yes, 1866 MHz (PC3-14900) will work in your motherboad and no, it is not required that you install only memory PC3-14400 (1800 MHz). Although your motherboard and processor supports 1866 MHz memory your BIOS may limit the memory speed at default speed SPD 1333 MHz. OEM manufacturers like HP are not easy to use BIOS, I mean that you have will limit BIOS that does not allow the user to manually set the settings like overclocking the memory or CPU etc. So it's really a gamble. The memory will work but will run at low speed rather than the nominal amount of 1866 MHz. So, try either go with 1600 MHz or 1333 MHz. The speed difference is not noticeable that so stick to the speed lower is the best option IMO.

Good luck with the upgrade. Send us an update, how it will be if you go with memory 1866 MHz. Cheers, mate!

  • HP pavilion dv2000 entertainment pc media center laptop RAM Upgrage

I am now ready to update my RAM of 1 gb (2x512mb) provided in the initial configuration of 2.5 GB (1x2Go + 1x512mo).

Provided in the existing RAM clock speed is 667 MHz and 2 GB of RAM I'm willing to be upgraded with the frequency of 800 MHz.

Will there be a problem with this upgrade? As two different RAM frequencies.

If yes then can I use only 2 GB of 800 MHz RAM frequency? There is a problem with the motherboard - as is synchronized to the motherboard for particular frequency?

667 or 800 will work... 800 is probably a little easier to find now... Just make sure you install 2 identical modules.

  • Windows Vista, adding RAM

Hi im running Windows Vista SP2 with 4 GB of RAM so I play games on my PC because I have no consoles and bytime my computer will run slowly at the origin it is are the RAM came to put my PC's come with with only 2 GB of RAM so I bought a "ATI RADEON 5450" GPU with 1 GB of RAM I know that the GPU is not a total beast but with overclock, he was able to play up to 1600 x 900. He wasn't fast enough to fuly depict gameplay fast and annoyed that I was, I decided to buy a stick of 1 GB of RAM equal to 3 GB of RAM, so the next time I bought another 1 GB RAM and Vista has proved he is not recognized as showing only 3.22 GB of RAM but my BIOS showed 4000MB "a number with 4000 but I can not remember" it was weird because my BIOS did read the corect my Vista amount no has not turned out that I never had no new Service Packs so I added the SP1, it doesn't have the first 3 times I did Windows Update he installed several random things and I tried to install SP1 it worked, asked to contact successful activation to activate the product... Fun adventure hehehe... So now I have SP2 and since SP1 my PC reads 4 GB like it should him so now is it possible to add more RAM to speed up this guy even more? Whether or not please let me know thanks guys.

    Hello

Vista 32 bit takes a maximum of 4GBs of RAM; with only about 3.22GBs is available for use.

The rest is used for different hardware features and use of the system by the operating system.

    Windows Vista (32-bit)

    Ultimate: 4 GB

    Company: 4 GB

    Company: 4 GB

    Home Premium: 4 GB

    Home Basic: 4 GB

    Ultimate: 128 GB

    Company: 128 GB

What type of ram you order your system with?

as long as it's ddr2 and 200 pin it should work. the only thing is that your memory controller will make a faster ram clock speed of ram which comes with your system run at the slower speed of the ram (that is to say if you buy modules 800 mhz when your system came with 667 mhz module (s), they will operate at the speed of 667 mhz).

    hope that helps.

  • Using Lightroom 2015.6 Ram increases as each image is processed which causes slow

As I proceeded successive images in Lr the amount of ram used increases and Lr starts to slow down. It seems that Lr is keeping images in RAM when I finished change them. It started to happen after the last update. What should I do to stop this?

I forgot where, but on another forum there is a discussion about this.  He seems to have an impact on some users of Lightroom, but not all.  Some of those with the observed slowdown that reduce to a minimum (without closing) Lightroom for a few seconds would free up RAM and speed returns.

I'm not having the problem and have not tried to reproduce it.  Maybe it's because I'm a 'light' user who works on several images at once.   It seems that 'heavy' users scroll through a large amount of images, particularly in the develop module, could be those having the slow down.   Say them, as they move through images, the RAM is loading but not release.
