Of course you can upgrade to El Capitan. But I think better if you can change the internal hard drive (SATA drive) in the SSD drive. You will get better results, faster than still, you only have 4 GB. This is mine... MacBook pro in early 2011.

  • You have a 2011 Macbook Pro with NO GPU failure?

    Hi all.

I am considering buying a 15 "MBP end 2011 hi res, screen matte, and with the chipset 6750 m from a friend. It worked without any of the well known symptoms since it's production.

    My question is:

Is it possible to actually own a Macbook Pro with the chipset hit without a logic board/GPU problems?

    What I think:

If 10 + million Macbook Pro have been produced with these chipsets in 2011/12, if it's only a tiny fraction who suffers actually total ventilation - all online writing is negative - no one does not write when their machine works.

What is your opinion on that? Can someone ellaborate?

    Thank you

Only Apple has statistics that would give any valid information on the magnitude of this problem.  For what it's worth, the program was extended until the end of the year.

Here are all excellent adapters available on the market to achieve this goal? If so, what are they, and they are available to plug in the USB ports and / or Thunberbolt on my laptop?

  • MacBook Pro with screen Retina or normal MacBook Pro?

HI, I want to buy a MacBook Pro, but I don't know what we should I buy, the retina or normal? I look at the series and videos from YouTube and I want to edit videos and my pictures if I buy one, so I thought that the retina it would be better for me, but it is too expensive. I want it with 512 ir 500g and but the MacBook Pro with retinal display costs $700 more. Also, I watched some YouTube videos that compared the MacBook Pro with Retina display vs the regular MacBook Pro. And the MacBook pro with the Retina display is faster. is there too much difference between the normal pro and the macbook with the Retina display? And there too much difference on the screen?

If you have a normal MacBook Pro or a MacBook Pro with retina Display, please tell me your experience with it. Also tell me what I should buy.

    Thank you

Your best option is to go to a store (Apple or reseller) and compare screens side by side.  Only then can you make an informed decision.

The main differences between the two models is that the retina has no DVD player and cannot have put RAM at day after purchase and the PCIe SSD updated at great expense (which will also void any warranty).

The non-retine can have the RAM has increased to a maximum 16 GB at a later date and may have installed later hard/SSD drives of up to 2 TB of capacity.

    Ciao.

  • a macbook pro with retina display becomes hot when in use?

A macbook pro with retina display becomes hot when in use?

Yes.  All of the skin of the MBP is part of the evacuation of heat, not only the arriere-charniere event.  That's why running the MBP on a hard flat surface is better, so the room air can cool down all surfaces.  He put on a hidden or your knees when running may block exposure to air.

High intensity running video uses graphics and CPU harder, needing cooling.
