Random yoga 2 SSD Pro Gel

I own a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro (model 20266) with a 256GB SSD Samsung MZMTD256HAGM stock - 000 L 1. It works well in general, but sometimes it will freeze for several tens of seconds, especially when I'm idling or work on something that does not use the hard drive. I thought it was a problem with the SSD to fall asleep, but disable disk hard sleep via Power Options Windows does not help. I tried to install Samsung magician, but it does not support the drive even if it detects that it is a Samsung SSD.

Anyone had this problem before? Is there a setting that I have to disable? If not, is it possible I can update the firmware? This model does not appear on the Samsung website either.

In your Windows 8 start for Intel Rapid Storage menu look at startup click the 3rd tab and disable Intel LPM. This will disable the Intel Powersave feature for the drive (preferable to disable when you have a player not intel)

  • Sonnet Tempo SSD Pro - does not fit into my Mac Pro.

I just bought a Sonnet Tempo SSD Pro Plus (the same, physically, like the Sonnet Tempo SSD Pro)

I can't even came close it enter my Mac Pro end 2012. On the back of the bumps in the fan card, even with the fan cover pulled back.   This isn't a case to remove the lower lip, which obviously I do, I can't do it AT all, not even at an angle.

I called Sonnet, but incredibly the tech said that it must adapt.

It seems that I have only 2 choices: unscrew the fan and moving it more far forward of the mac (somehow) to cut about 1/2 "on the back of the Sonnet card.  The latter would obviously kill my warranty, and I don't even know if the bloody thing still works.

To my amazement, I find nothing about it online.  It's like the Twilight Zone.

Any ideas?  Someone knows has a video that shows a successful installation?

  • SAMSUNG SSD Pro 840 died after two days of Thinkpad Yoga

I replaced my new Thinkpad Yoga with Samsung 840 Pro SSD and he died two days after I see the core in something Page error, and I couldn't start later. I am connected later this SSD to USB port on my other laptop and he was dead. Lenovo Diagnostics failed for SSD drive as well.

I would like to know if anyone of you tried Pro 850 with Thinkpad Yoga and was happy with it?

I have a S1 of Yoga in which I recently installed a Samsung 850 Evo (not the 840, not the Pro 850, but they are similar). So far, he's doing much - he has been here for about 2 weeks now.

It is Windows Pro 8.1 with full disk encryption enabled.

  • Yoga scroll 2 Pro problem

I've had my Yoga 2 Pro for about 3 days now. It worked perfectly until I installed a BIOS update (at least that is what I am attributing this question). After that, the way my touchpad scrolling is very glitchy. It will sometimes reversing on its own in a fluid motion, or everything just jump to the point where I started scrolling, sometimes even to the top of the page. If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful. I love this laptop and it's not exactly a break point, but it is extremely frustrating.

Read on another site that there is a problem with the driver for the touchpad synaptics current (17.0.8.7), so I uninstalled and installed the previous version (17.0.8.4). I had also started to experience problems when programs such as adobe reader and microsoft word would zoom randomly when scrolling down or zoom out when scrolling upward. Roll back the driver has been solved the problem (restored the driver about 2 days ago)

  • Still slow after Samsung SSD Pro 850

I recently installed Samsung SSD 850 pro on my mbp 2012. There is no significant difference in its speed before and after. Application of test of speed magic Black Watch reading and writing speeds both somewhere between 40 - 60 MB/s. If disappointing! I'm not a tech guy but there might be people out there who have experienced this problem and have regained hope. If you know a solution please share.

  • Satellite Installation SSD Pro R50-B-122

I have a R50-B-122 and BX100 Crucial 256 GB SSD I want to ride. Crucial to say that this SSD is compatible: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compat...-pro-r50-b-122

My first attempt was to mount the SSD drive and install Windows 8.1 from scratch, but I get the 'no hard drive was found. Click on load a driver to provide a driver for installing mass storage. "error, which is also stated in this thread: https://forum.toshiba.eu/showthread...missing-driver

I tried to burn a CD with the Intel storage drivers on it and the drivers get used when you try to install, but it does not always help to detect the drive. I've already updated the BIOS of the laptop, and the SSD firmware, I tried all combinations of parameters relevant BIOS - read elsewhere it looks that the reader must be set to battery saving mode and CSM.

My next test was to clone the HDD to the SSD which I did using Paragon Backup. I was able to start my cloned PC's SSD desktop computer so I know that it went well, but still no detection in the laptop.

It seems that the BIOS is not able to detect the SSD. Any ideas on what we can do? This laptop would greatly benefit from an SSD, and I'm not sure I can deal with the speed of the 5400 RPM HARD drive.

It seems that the BIOS is not able to detect the SSD.

The SSD drive is listed in the first page of the BIOS? In the event that the BIOS would recognize the SSD correctly, you should see name/size of the SSD drive on the first page.
If it is not listed, the SSD it has not been recognised by the BIOS... why? I guess because of compatibility issues...
In this case, I have no other recommendation for you to use another disk SSD...

    Hello

Your panic report indicates a "page fault".

In general, page faults are caused by a corruption of the data structures in the core software, hardware RAM or software related issues.

    Try the following:

    (1) repair the hard drive (in disk utility)

    (2) since you have a non-original SSD: If you have enabled FileVault, try disabling it.

    (3) reinstall the OS http://support.apple.com/kb/PH18872

    4) consider in an Apple Store and ask them to test it.

  • T440s kills 840 Samsung SSD pro

    Hi all

I have a T440s new, bought with HARD drive. That I wanted to use a reliable SSD, I bought a Samsung 840 pro, I already running in another system. That's when the problems started. In a German Forum several users report similar problems, so I just wanted to give a summary here, so that perhaps the international community can help. I consider myself as being an experienced user, built the various PC systems in recent years and currently have a desktop running with Samsung 840 pro system. Here are the details:

I installed Windows 8.1 (several times, first clone HARD drive and later after recurring problems, clean full install win DVDs of 8.1), value UEFI Bios only + Intel Quick start disabled before installation.

The question now is with the SSD I get constant HDD (visible in EventViewer) mistakes, while usually after a few hours of operation, the operating system is damaged to the point that it cannot start more. I should mention that the same system is running stable with the original HARD disk. First I thought that it is a faulty SSD and I replaced it by Samsung. However, with the new SSD replaced I am facing the same problems. Earlier this year, I have corrected a problem on a desktop with 840 pro where symptoms were similar. In the case of a desktop system, the issue could be fixed by replacing the SATA cable (which is obviously not an option on the T440s).

And Yes, I use the latest firmware SSD, the BIOS update, the drivers of Lenovo. Now, the problem is that I do not seem to be the only one with these problems. Other users in similar problems Thinkpad German forum report not only on Windows systems, but also on Linux installations (we even got the motherboard replaced by Lenovo and yet, it does not solve the problem).

I contacted Lenovo support and they told me that they support only of original Lenovo SSD. I must say that I am really disappointed that my new system from a renowned manufacturer constantly does not work with one of the most widely used SSD. Currently, some users in the report of the German forum they have better luck with Samsung EVO SSD. However, after this experience, I really lost confidence in the T440s. If the design should have problems with Sata 3, I don't know if I can trust this laptop in a business environment.

    Comments/suggestions very welcome.

    Kind regards

    Frank

  • Yoga 2 camera Pro does not

The webcam on my Yoga 2, running Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit, does not work with the software on my computer. When I test the camera in Skype, I get a loading circle, which I know that others have complained before, and when I try to use the camera Windows app, it tells me that something seems to be a problem with my camera. I think the drivers are updated, so I don't know what is the problem, but it is possible that I have the wrong driver - I had a few difficulties to correctly identify the number of my product on the support site. I know that some people have had similar problems, so all advice is appreciated. Thank you!

I was fortunately still under warranty and was able to get the question
repaired - it looks like it was a hardware problem.

  • Yoga 2 Tablet Pro Mode extremely slow on win 10

So every day a new problem with the Yoga 2 Pro and Win 10. After the reinstallation of Transition, the screen now. Yippee. But now in tablet mode performance is so slow it's unbareable. Anyone else with this problem? Thoughts?

OK... seems that Lenovo service called YMC (via the Task Manager) completely disabling solves this problem with no negative effect. The service is responsible for disabling the keyboard in Tablet etc mode, but it seems that it is redundant in Windows 10 (maybe Windows control itself?).

Disable, if it causes problems turn it back on.

  • Phone to the Yoga 3 companion Pro

    Hi all

I need information about the companion application phone by Lenovo. This app is pre-installed in Yoga 3 Pro? Also can someone tell me how to make phone calls through Yoga 3 Pro using the companion phone app?

    Thank you!!

It was preinstalled on my unit when they came first, delivered with Windows 8. I'm sure it comes with Windows 10 units as well.
