Random zoom and freeze while playing any media or play games

I bought a new laptop with windows 7 and I get this strange buzzing sound of the speakers, but also a little gel every time I play no matter what media or games. All my drivers are up to date. When we look at the Device Manager the only strange thing is that I have 4 audio drivers from NVIDIA high definition and 4 processors. The laptop as never been formatted. I need to format and reinstall Windows?

It's really annoying and ultimatly make me use the warranty and do repair (or give me a new one without this issue).
Please get back to me.
Kind regards
Tiago

Hello
If this is a new laptop, I would take it back.

I would buy this laptop but a don't know anything about the cooling system. Is it good or bad?
I would like to know the temperatures in normal mode and playing games.

    Thanks for the replies

    Hey,.

Why the cooling system should be bad? I mean that this laptop is all new and latest Qosmio X model on the market. It has material more recent and powerful that you can buy for money at the moment. In addition he s pretested by Toshiba, if the cooling system is good enough for this great piece of equipment. The Toshiba case install another system of cooling or not release it ;)

I read a few tests on the Internet and it has a good ratings. Very high performance and good temperatures because he has a big case and cooling system.

Why the temperatures are so important?
Fact is that you always have higher temperatures while gaming because every piece of hardware work with high or maximum performance. This causes a lot of heat for the laptop will be hotter than the train to surf the Internet.

If I had enough money, I would buy this laptop. I like to play games, so the laptop is perfect and it comes with screen FullHD :)

Hello papa99, from your description of the issue, I would seek to a heat problem. Because games require the most resources of a computer and puts more load on the components, I would look for associated heat condition first.

You can check that inside the system is free of any dust/dirt especially overall heatsinl/CPU fan.

    Just a thought.

  • Qosmio X 300-13 L - display shuts down while playing games

    Hey guys,.

I really hope you can help me with my problem. I had a problem with my video card so I sent to an ASP called RTS in Germany. They corrected this problem, but after I got my laptop, a new problem appeard.

While playing games, the screen turns black, but everything else works still for about a minute then the system stops. I tried to reset the settings of the BIOS, read in many forums, but nothing helps so far. The problem appreas often during the game World of Warcraft, but since yesterday, it seems less often while playing Leauge of Legends. It is unpossible to use the Qosmio to play with this problem, because I can't recognize any model in this :( I went 2 months of Vista to Windows 7 and the problem appeard only on Windows 7.

If you need more information or something, tell me and I'll give them to you as soon as possible...

    Thank you!

    Hi byakuya.

If the problem appears only on Windows7 there must be a problem with your installation of Windows 7. Maybe you use the old drivers or wrong or a software causes this problem.

The more interesting point right now is your display driver. 3rd display driver part of Nvidia directly don't have protection against overheating and can cause problems. In my opinion, you must install the driver Toshiba last and official version. It should work I hope

  • shutdown of PC while playing games

shutdown of PC while playing games, my os: windows xp sp2

The most common cause of shutdown of the PC under load is overheating, and which is usually caused by lack of air circulation.
Assuming it's a desktop PC and not a laptop, remove the side of the case and look for the sheep of dust, pet hair, lint, etc. on the inside. Special attention for the vents, fans and heat sinks on the motherboard, processor and graphics card. An old toothbrush soft to loosen and a can of air spray (or a small vacuum cleaner, if you're very careful), likes to get rid of it.
If it is a laptop, remove all the panels that are loose (as for the areas of RAM and HARD drive) and blow through it to air canned to remove any deposit.

  • Screen goes black for a few seconds while playing games

I come here who need help, I was this problem for some time and were not able to find the solution on my own.

    The question:

Sometimes when I play games my screen will go black at a random time for a period of time (sometimes only a term of 5 to 10 seconds, other times up to a minute) and then gets himself and I am able to continue to play. The sound continues to play during the blackout, but I have no control of my computer. Nothing does not and cannot use commands such as ctrl + alt + delete. Sometimes, when my computer is recovering from the black screen, I hear the fans on my GPU boost up to about 80%. I put in MSI afterburner to increase my fan speed as the temperature of my card. Sometimes during recovery from a black screen, my fans will increase from 25% to 80%. Then, there is 80% for the rest of the time until I reset my computer. Once my computer is reset, my card will be 25% more.

    Contextual and computer information:

This question is not started past until I installed and new graphics card and reinstalled windows 7. The GPU has been tested before I reinstalled windows 7 and everything is perfect. no power outages. I reinstalled windows 7 because I had an SSD.

Here are my features right now:

    PROCESSOR FX-8350
    Card MOTHER Asrock 970 Extreme3
    RAM (2) 4 GB DDR3 1600 and (2) 8 gb DDR3 1866
    SSD 120 gb w / windows 7 installed top
GPU Radeon r9 290 (upgrade a radeon 6950 which took perfect)
    Corsair power 800w

a few last things to add that can be useful:

-I did not black when using my computer and do not play games screens.
-J' usually have low games such as the League of legends. who are not too intensive on the gpu
-When I insert in the UEFI, my RAM displays all the sticks clocked at 1600 MHz. Even if 2 of my poles are 1866.
-My gpu never went more than 74 degrees since ive installed, so I don't think its an overheating problem.

If you need more information, let me know and ill be happy to provide it. Any help will be MUCH appreciated. I get crazy at this time because I can't figure this thing out lol

    Thank you - Nick

Thanks for the help! I actually just figured it on mine.

    Here's what the matter was.

Afterburner in fact has not been increasing fan speed, I had put in place as the time grew. Tried running my r9 290 to 60% of the speed of the fan. Never had a black screen again. I'm glad that I can play games now. Only thing that sucks is my r9 290 is a powercolor card that uses a unique suction fan and blows air on the side. THE THING IS EXTREMELY NOISY at 60% lol but I managed to get the r9 290 for only $200, so I can't complain.

  • Screen stops working while playing games

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook, windows 7 64 bit operating system.

I got 2 years in July.  In recent weeks while playing games the screen stops working.  You can hear the game still in progress but nothing on the screen.  I then have to turn off then to let some time before reboting.

I played the game for over a year, so it's not the game that is the problem.  It becomes warm, but I have always used a pc fan sub to help keep cool.

I just tried the HP tool to automatically search for updates, but it had not recommended.

Is it a hardware problem or software?  What can I do to stop what is happening?

I bought an extended warranty, but I need if I can fix it or whether it should go to a technician (if nothing is physically wrong, they'll charge me).

Hi, do not mount the jinxed shadow xpress, your laptop almost 2 years, so just get a few canned-salvation-air compressed @ any computer store or bigbox and point the noozle @ and the events of the portable breath totally clean dust od and ctut-rabbits, make sure u opens the CD drawer, which will be the cpu and the gpu to time simple down to 10 c. , huh? yahayah ~!

  • Windows 7 Media Center - stuttering/video freezing while playing Internet TV

I recently installed "clean" Windows 7 Edition Home Premium on XP MCE 2005.  I have serious problems with the video stuttering and freezing frequently during playback of the titles of Internet TV, for example, old episodes of Star Trek.  Results often loud squawk a Duke during freezing.  Sometimes it looks exactly like a CD does when he gets stuck on an imperfection and goes into a fast loop.  The irony is that I can read the exact same titles via Fancast, and have no performance problem either.  Stutter/freeze occurs only during playback via Internet TV in Media Center.

    My system is:
Intel motherboard - tried two different BIOS D945PVS (according to newest and newest).
    Processor Pentium D 3.0 GHz
    3.0 GB RAM 667 MHz
nVidia GeForce GT 220, 1 GB of VRAM, connected via HDMI for display in 1080 p (latest verified driver) (second video tried - card was first nVidia 210, 512 GB of VRAM)
Installed at the Manitoba Intel Gigabit network reports, cable and adapter gigabit connection speed
Three different tried sound options - Creative Soundblaster X - Fi Elite Pro; MB base IDT HD Codec; nVidia HD Audio, with video/HDMI card).

I updated all the drivers and installed all Windows updates.  I could really use some help.  I did everything I can think of short of a repair upgrade/reinstall of the operating system.  Thank you, in advance, for your help.

Well, finally solved the problem.  It turns out that lower level nVidia graphics card I tried (the 210 and GT220) couldn't handle Internet TV via Windows Media Center to the high resolution, I tried to use (1920 x 1080, in my case).  I pulled a map of greater chart end of one of my other computers (a nVidia 9800GT) and Internet TV has played without incident a few hours.  I don "t know where the dividing line is between inadequate and adequate performance GPU, but the GT220 (which I think is about equivalent to a 9400GT) did not work and the 9800GT has done.

So, if you have a skip/stutter problem, either try a lower resolution or a more powerful card.
