Rasadhlp.dll questions

I have instructions on how to replace this file, but in the instructions it says "replace it with a known good copy"... where to acquire this "good copy"?  This just started happening, and I did multiple scans with multiple programs and have found no malware or viruses.

  • c:\windows\system32\vsinit.dll question prevents the activation of XP

A malware attack left a mess on my machine and anit-virus tools cleaned most, but many services were lost. Advice on the web says to reload XP.  I did, but the activation step failed due to a problem with the license with c:\windows\system32\vsinit.dll.  The DLL is in place and apparently comes to ZoneAlarm, but most likely has been charged as part of another package (perhaps by malware?).  There are two registry entries that refer to c:\windows\system32\vsinit.dll.  My question is, can I change the registry references to c:\windows\system32\vsinit.dll and thus enable the XP activation process to proceed?

The instance that is more suspect is

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-1-5-18\Components\913979572FD8B4D4989DEDA591E6AB3D

If not, is there another solution to this problem, which is more suitable?

    Hi jimTheFlutist,

    Method 1

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, then analyze and remove any malware or computer virus infections and check if that helps.

  • WINSPOOL.dll question

    Strange problem that just started:

I installed a VERY old program and every time it starts, it gives an error saying "this application has failed to start because WINSPOOL.dll is not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem. »

Strange thing is I can find winspool.dll in the C:/WINDOWS/System32 folder, but the icon is not the same thing as the other .dll files. So I'm open to ideas on how to solve this problem.

My bad - I initially posted with instead of WINSPOOL.dll WINSOCK.dll in the title.

What I see in my directory are two files named winspool. One is a unknown file type, the other is an executable file.

HI - sorry, I screwed up. I should have written winspool in the title.

I am loading a Broderbund program called preschool success Starter. The specific program is James detects in mathematics.
    Just google and found this:

In Explorer, go to the Windows\System folder

Copy winspool.drv. Rename the copy as winspool.dll.

Try the program again. It * might * work (I found a few references to this problem also and it is a work around) - but he could not.

  • Want x 360: AccelerometerSt.exe/MSVCR110.dll question

I recently bought a HP Envy x 360 (literally yesterday), because it was highly recommended by my help at best buy. Since yesterday afternoon, I had a problem with the display driver that comes will not be corrected.

When I start my computer, it says that AccelerometerSt.exe does not start (give me code 0xc00007b), and when I try to run original on my computer to play the Sims, it is said that origin will not work because the 'MSVCR110.dll' file is missing, and my Google'ing suggests that the two problems are related. Also, last night I just watched a YouTube video and my display driver froze on me. Had to hard restart my computer to fix.

I followed the instructions here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Systems-and-Software/AccelerometerSt-exe-system-erro...

But it does not work. I can't find any other relevant results on here or the Microsoft page. I went on the site support.hp.com and ran the Solution and update Finder and downloaded the HP System Event Utility and Intel HD Graphics Driver, as he recommended. For some reason, my computer doesn't let me install the other driver (Intel Wireless Display Software), he suggests. I installed three times and no luck.

I am bit out on a limb here when I bought a HP, and so far I'll have nothing but issues. The site I linked above says that somehow that this file has been deleted, but I don't know how. Is it possible to fix this, or do I have to go back to my laptop?

    Thank you

    Jordan

    Hi, Jordan:

This error is related to a problem with the system 3D driveguard which parks the hard drive heads in case the laptop is deleted or moved.

Several times, just reinstall the 3D driveguard driver support for your laptop and driver page solves the problem and in some cases, it doesn't.  The last thread I posted goes into some more detail if throwing everything simply installation does not work, but do not use the pilot who was listed.  You can only run one on your laptop specific assistance page... There are 3 versions of hardware 3D driveguard all using different drivers.

You can see that ces-related posts where this worked.  There are many others...

If this does not work for you, then I suggest you contact HP support, or if you can always return the laptop, then you can do the same.

It is even possible that the mss32.dll error you see is related to a hostile program who is posing as the file.

    3. Use the system restore to undo recent system changes: If you think that the mss32.dll error was caused by a change to an important file or a configuration, restore the system could solve the problem.

  • VGPU session disconnects with pcoip_server_win32.exe NvFBC.dll

I run a proof of concept VGPU VDI using Horizon 6.1 and Vsphere 6

I have only 8 test VDI users and the solution is running on the local network.

Some users reported session disconnects and w hen I checked the event logs on the clients (windows 7 64-bit) the following are entries.

Users can reconnect to the session almost immediately and no work is lost.

I use some Autodesk products (Revit, Navisworks, etc.) on the clones related and so far, the results have been very good and it is only slight complaint.

    Hello David,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft Forum.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.

    1. You did it all changes (hardware or software) on your computer before the show?
    2. When you get this error message?

This problem may be due to one of the following problems:

    • You are using an outdated or corrupted video driver
    • System files on your PC can be damaged or do not correspond with other files
    • You may have an infection of viruses or malware on your PC
    • Some applications or services that are running on your computer may be responsible for Windows Explorer to stop working

I suggest to try the steps in the following Microsoft article and you want to avoid the steps that you have already tried and check if it helps.

Error: Windows Explorer has stopped working

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2694911/en-us

    Note

The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    Important:

When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

    ATTENTION:

For now, skip the step of upgrade in Place.

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

    Kind regards

Hi, I tried Googling for an answer but none seem to match what I live. Could someone help me because the error message stopped working windows Explorer keeps all the hours to come.

I did chkdsk and sfc/scannow but both came out well.

    Hello Jansen,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

    1. What is the brand and model of your computer?
    2. you made any hardware or software changes on your computer before the show?

Thank you for details on the question and your efforts to resolve.

This problem may occur if the display driver is outdated or because of the presence of an infection such as viruses or malware.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Update display driver of your computer from the manufacturer's Web site and check out them.

    Please see these articles:
Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Update-driver-hardware-ISN

    Update drivers: recommended links
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/update-drivers-recommended-links#update-drivers-recommended-links=Windows-7

If this does not help, use method 2.

    Method 2:
Microsoft safety scanner run and check the issue.
    Reference:
    Microsoft safety scanner
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

    Thank you
