Explorer.exe crases every few hours

Hi, I tried Googling for an answer but none seem to match what I live. Could someone help me because the error message stopped working windows Explorer keeps all the hours to come.

I did chkdsk and sfc/scannow but both came out well.

Hello Jansen,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

1. What is the brand and model of your computer?
2. you made any hardware or software changes on your computer before the show?

Thank you for details on the question and your efforts to resolve.

This problem may occur if the display driver is outdated or because of the presence of an infection such as viruses or malware.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:
Update display driver of your computer from the manufacturer's Web site and check out them.

Please see these articles:
Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Update-driver-hardware-ISN

Update drivers: recommended links
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/update-drivers-recommended-links#update-drivers-recommended-links=Windows-7

If this does not help, use method 2.

Method 2:
Microsoft safety scanner run and check the issue.
Reference:
Microsoft safety scanner
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

Thank you

    Hello

    Any advice?

    Ofer

Open the configuration of the router and on the Configuration tab page, reduce MTU size to 1300 and click on save settings... On the Wireless tab, click Advance wireless settings and change the tag to 75 interval > change the Fragmentation threshold to 2304, change the RTS threshold to 2304 > click on save settings... Now, the cycle of power to the router and it should fix the problem... If this does not resolve the problem, update the firmware on the router and reconfigure the router.

  • Logging of IPS by returning every few hours?

For an initial installation, I have configured to log all packets of perpetrator/victim pair, covering events in detail and not meant to be all the time. He will be off to see if this reduces the amount of storage that is consumed so we can monitor events for a longer period of time, but I have a question on that.

The Wrap event store (to see the release of store event stat) he says the envelope of logging I see?

If so, is there a way to monitor the availability of memory for the store itself so I can see what affect the different settings have on memory available logging?

    IPS # display statistics event-store

    Store event statistics

The number of times the event store circular buffer = 16

The size of eventStore from version 5.0 (1) is a fixed 30 Meg. Its a circular eventStore for wrap (new events overwrite older events). The usual deployment of sensors includes a sort of remote event monitor application that pulls events from the sensor. The eventStore acts as a buffer to allow the application of monitoring remote face busy sensors. If your eventStore encapsulates all the few hours then the tracking app should be able to cope with all generated events. The concern would be if the eventStore constantly wrapped up in less than 10 or 15 minutes. When you do that, you can be losing events and would need to adjust the signature of sensor configuration only the alarm on significant events.

I think I should get off until bugs in v.15 are developed. How do I do that?

    It's good to know.

For the moment, I think that maybe my problems were related to the material. Fixing the voltage of my video card seems to have solved my problems. Without blockages with Firefox since then.

It seems that Firefox may only put a heavy strain on the video card is causing problems. Weird, but that seems to be compatible with all the symptoms. Not sure why v.15 would put more stress on the video card, but it may have been a coincidence.

  • Missing Explorer.exe to computer

I have Windows Vista, and yesterday that an error message came saying that explorer.exe did not and will have to close. My taskbar and the desktop icons, have all disappeared. I restarted my computer several times, but it's always the same result. Also, I tried to use the Task Manager to start explorer.exe, but every time an error message pops up saying 'explorer.exe' is not found. How can I get that back on my computer?

Boot from the Vista DVD and select recovery options:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-Vista

the command prompt and select run this:

    sfc/scannow damaged = c: \ /OFFWINDIR = c:\windows

He is able to find damaged files and restore the Explorer.exe?

  • Windows Explorer stops and starts every few minutes on XP

I have Windows 7 every few minutes a message: "Windows explore is close and restart".

I took the following steps to resolve this problem, but not completely as in computer science, I'm afraid

I am groping in the dark:

1 - tried to clean the computer in SafeMode to network using Tweaking.com after the first

    disable the anti-virus

2-scans for corrupted files (using cmd in start then sfc/scannow) but there is no apparent integrity

    violations

    3 reset

    Browing 4-delete history

Unable to read the 5 modules

These actions appear to have had no effect and power problem.

I'd appreciate any help in simple words and I'll buy you a beer a day

  • toolbarupdateservice.exe sucks CPU every few seconds

Task Mgr shows that toolbarupdateservice.exe is using 99% CPU every few seconds.  Just ran http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx who has not found any problems. ((previously this program did find and remove partially RegCure after I did a search for all the same and deleted)).  I have Norton 360 installed and run virus and cleaning regestry scan whenever I see toolbarupdateservice.exe aspire CPU.

So today, Norton 360 or MSFT says security scan found any problems yet CPU runs near overload and toolbarupdateservice.exe seems to be the issue. Need help to find the problem. The system is Pravilian HP 1330n with support for XP, SP3.  Notice if I manully end the process for toolbarupdateservice.exe CPU goes to normal and the system works very well for a few days.

If - and that is important - if you've not too severely compromised your system using a "registry cleanup" software, remove the toolbarupdaterservice following the signs to "boopme" here--> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic416122.html
