Increase the rate of target on Veristand

Hello

I am a novice user of Veristand. I'm doing a feedback from control with the help of a compactRIO:

RT OR cRIO-9024

Chassis cRIO-9113

9220 and 9263 modules.

I use Veristand with a compiled since Simulink model to make my will.

I want to be able to reach frequencies of 10 KHz loop or more, but the loop of the target rate freezes the system when I try to go beyond 700 Hz.

Is it possible to do?

My model is very simple, for now, I'm simply connect the 9220 1 entry at the exit of the 9263.

Thank you in advance,

Kind regards

Rates

Hi prices.

The 9024 is unable to run NI VeriStand at your desired pace. As you can see, it tops out around 700 Hz. There are several reasons for this, but the end result is that you will need different hardware to run at your desired pace. A 9082 will be much faster, and a SMU-8135 will be even faster than that. Also if you use PXI, if you only need of IO and no treatment only Co, our PXI DAQ devices allow you to hit the NIVS rates much faster than the PXI FPGA devices.

Good luck!

  • To increase the flow of a Basler Cameralink Camera (A504K) with a capture card PCIE-1429 card

    Hello

I use a monochrome camera of Cameralink Basler A504K-resolution 1280 x 1024 with a capture card PCIE-1429 (x 4 slots) card. The image acquisition is controlled by MAX of LabVIEW version 11.0.1. The problem is that when I try to reduce the number of lines (specifically height) 1024-32 (for example) in the window of acquisition (from MAX), the frame rate of the camera is expected to increase to almost 16, 000fps. But it does not go beyond 248fps. Can you suggest me, why is he so past, or how to increase his pace? In addition, under the image window has appeared has something like: 1 X 8-bit 1280 x 32 9 image. That 1 X means here? For your reference, I am also attaching the image of the purchase window.

    Thank you!

    Hi Római,

Change the height of your image in MAX will not increase the rate of your acquisition - the camera always sends the same number of lines per image, you said just the software to stop their playing earlier.  The following image still occurs until the next edge FVAL.

1 x at the bottom tells you view the image at 1 x magnification.  In MAX, you can zoom in and out, and this indicator lets you know your current zoom level.

  • Increase the packets received per second UDP

I have a very high packages (over 100,000 packets per second) rate which I'm trying to capture in LabView.  I configured a single loop to form the loop 'UDP receive' that takes the data from the wire and updates these data in a queue to be processed by another loop.

    The problem is that if I use the builtin UDP receive functions, or one library implementations available OCAP, I will always drop packets.  When the receive loop running I have the time I find it runs only in the range of milliseconds rather than the necessary<10us.  if="" i="" remove="" the="" 'enqueue'="" call,="" and="" do="" nothing="" except="" receive="" the="" data="" and="" increment="" a="" packet="" counter,="" it="" is="" still="" no="" where="" near="" meeting="" timing. ="" this="" leads="" me="" to="" believe="" that="" the="" problem="" is="" with="" the="" amount="" of="" time="" it="" takes="" to="" call="" the="" vi="" to="" perform="" the="">

Until I write a dll to perform multiple readings of package and transfer the pads of large size to labview, is there something that can be done in labview to increase the rate of packets?  Note that I have captured these data in wireshark on the same computer, and it's more the enough to capture all the data, so it is possible.

Attached are two examples that do not work because the loop execution rate is too low.  Exactly why the loop runs too slowly is a mystery to me.  Note the "OCAP" version uses the library from the mentioned thread previously.

The problem is now resolved.  I've updated the dll from this thread to include a "multi-package-group" function that provides in bulk packages to labview.  Even after doing this, I noticed that there was always a bottleneck when LabView went to assemble the packets (data collection of several packages to more large data sets).  This was solved by moving some of the manipulation of specific project data in the dll as well.  When I have free time, I also plan on accounting for the new library in this same thread of OCAP.

Even I decrease the resolution. It won t be another option 60 Hertz.
Is it possible to increase it?
My monitor is indicated under the generic name of the PnP in the system.

You cannot increase the internal laptop display refresh rate and it of not necessary to go higher, because all the internal laptop screens are running at 60 Hz.
If you would like to connect an external monitor, you will probably see higher available for the external monitor refresh rates.

  • How to increase the size of the buffer veristand UDP?

    Hello!

I'll have some lost data of veristand screen and I want to increase the size of the UDP buffer. This is a new option in veristand 2011 that I can read on this link: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/372846C-01/veristand/whats_new/ (improving the workspace section).

Someone at - it now haow to do?

    Thanks in advance,

Do you mean how to do it from the VeriStand workspace? On your graphical work space click on setup to enter the chart configuration dialog box. In the configuration dialog box, you will see where you can enter a new value for the UDP buffer size.

  • How to increase the sampling rate in this VI?

    Hi all

I have recently inherited this mess of a VI and can not figure out how to increase the sampling rate. I tried to change the "ms of waiting ' clock, but it does not add more data points." The main VI, as well as the Subvi, which contains a Daq Assistant to a load cell and LVDT is attached. Any ideas on how to improve the sampling without a complete overhaul would be greatly appreciated!

  • If I use a few channels on PCI-6259 to increase the sampling rate, channels numbers can I be contiguous?

We are looking to buy a card PCI-6259 usable on a Linux machine. We would use NIDAQmx to access the card. If we were to use only a few channels to increase the sampling rate, do I need to select specific channels?

For example, the card is 1 MHz. If I select the channel 1 and channel 2, I can taste each channel at 500 KHz. could I choose 8 channel and channel 13 and still be able to sample each channel to 500KHz? Or need of specific channels to use when a subset of channels are selected?

  • By default the rate of execution 15 Hz of Communication send loop

    Hi NIVS experts!

The link understand engine VS, the default implementation of communication loop rate is set to 15 Hz.  I've found a way to change this default in VS.  As this Communication send loop transmits the values of layer VeriStand bridge, where working space gets the tables of channel.  The flow of data, I got look like this:

    Data channels data channels

Communication send loop (15 Hz)---> VeriStand gateway---> Workspace (logging of data control (100 Hz))

My question is: If the rate of implementation of the communication loop is only 15 Hz, does make sense for the control to save data on the workspace to record data at a much higher rate (say 100 Hz rate target)?   Or how can I change the default implementation of continuous loop rate?

    Thank you

    Pen

We used the 'recording' and 'streaming' API of VeriStand, and I can confirm that the flow is equal to that of the loop of real-time data. The Kz 15 data source is used to provide enough slow data API "read channel".

I assumed that the data connection control uses the 'recording', is not subject to the caching of 15 Hz.

  • Increase the C: drive and reduce the E: drive decrease?

    Hi all

My c: drive------fills constantly which is causing the overall performance of my laptop to be very bad. It is very slow! I don't have a lot of files etc on my C: drive, but it still keeps filling in shortly after a cleanup and defragmentation. My E: drive is constantly empty and I want to be able to use this space on my C: drive.

I don't want to move the files to the E: drive 'free' space on C: because I don't have a lot of files on C: to move.

Can I change the volumes of each drive to increase the capacity of C: and diminish the ability of e: or can I remove E: and give all the space on C:

    Any help would be appreciated?

    Thank you
    Colin

    Hello Colin

In General, you can do what you want and all this can be done in computer management > disk management.
I don't know what model of laptop you have, but for laptops with HARD drive recovery image, it is not recommended to change the partition structure because it can have a negative influence on the HDD recovery procedure. If you have ever portable model and you created the recovery DVDs then you can do this. For the installation of the OS, you can use recovery disk installation only.

    Back to your question.
In my opinion there is no great sense to change this structure of score because you can use the free space on the second partition for your daily activities. I don't know what you're doing exactly, but all your data like mp3s, pictures, movies, office stuff, and anything else can be saved on the second partition.
You can also set the second partition as the target of download and all files you download will be saved there.

Your sentence is a little strange to me.
    > You wrote
    > I do not want to move the files to the E: drive 'free' space on C: because I don't have a lot of files on C: to move.
So I wonder what you do to fill the C partition, but there is nothing to move. Can you please explain it to me?

  • Satellite A200 does not correctly reduce or increase the volume

    Hello

Our Satellite A200 is having problems with its Volume control wheel.
If I turn the wheel (on the left or in the past), it does not correctly to reduce or increase the volume level.
He jumps rather the volume level in seemingly random directions (with a preference for the volume).
Turn the wheel slowly improves responsiveness a little, but it remains quite impossible to increase or decrease the volume control that to be.

BTW, I am well aware that the volume control wheel is a wheel of puls-encoder rather than ye olde potentiometer.

-Can anyone you tell me where I can find the configuration that is responsible for this Volume control wheel?
-Which driver/firmware is attached to the order of the volume control?
-How can I determine if this is a hardware or software problem?

    Advice would be welcome.

    Stephan

    Hello

There is no software or hardware problem.
It is a new generation of volume control.

First of all there is no mechanical limit turning right or left.
In addition, this volume controller works a little different than the old volume controllers. The volume can be increased and decreased using the fixed rate

    By the way;
    > Can someone tell me where I can find the configuration that is responsible for this Volume control wheel?
You can change the volume as in the sound settings that could be found in the control panel.
    > Which driver/firmware is attached to the order of the volume control?
Audio driver controls the volume controller.
    > How can I determine if this is a hardware or software problem?
    There is no problem

  • How to increase the level of Effort BY?

    Hello

I am trying to restore a primary application of a number of separate projects of component LVFPGA LVFPGA.  Each of these smaller basic functions is running in their own SCTL in new the LVFPGA master file.  Small functions all meet them timing, but not the master app.

I use about half of the chip so it seems to me that it should not be difficult to place and route.

When my compilation fails because of time constraints, he says the following:

WARNING: By: 62 - your design did not meet calendar.  Here are some suggestions to help you to keep to the timetable in your design.

    ...

Increase the setting of the level of Effort BY to 'high '.

Use the 'xplorer' Xilinx script to try special combinations of options known to produce very good results.

    See http://www.xilinx.com/ise/implementation/Xplorer.htm for more details.

    So my questions are:

    (1) how can I increase the level of Effort BY?  Has NEITHER provided a hook for setting this value and if so what is its current level / by default?

    (2) we access level user to the script 'xplorer '?  If so, where is this located and can OR recommend some parameters that are compatible with the SMU-5641R.

    Thank you

The files in the folder of Xilinx are never overwritten or replaced, these default values are simply not used if you provide your own .opt files to the compilation sequence. For these two products, we provide custom files, I've already mentioned. These custom options are communicated to the server during each request compilation as it must have everything necessary to provide correct results regardless of compilation locally or remotely (or even on a remote compiling the server who has not installed the drivers from target).

Insofar as you need exactly what settings level effort, which will be dependent on the design. I suggest you look at Xilinx documentation on their suggestions on how to set these options based on what kind of compile questions that you hit. In general, I would try them likely increases in the following (probably with compilation time) order:

    "" plan of access-Calendar - ol std' and ' normal - ol std ".

'map - calendar - ol high' and ' "normal - ol std".

"map - calendar - ol high' and ' by - ol high."

[Or if you will just operate all night and don't care about compile time, you could jump to top/high... and work backwards if you want to use the minimum effort it takes actually.]

If these don't work for you (or if you want an alternative solution), then you need to review your design and your code to see if you can improve the synchronization in the areas which are at the origin of chess.

    Side-note:

Modifying the files in the directory of Xilinx does not apply to this situation. I do not know the behavior to change these files, but it would be easy to deduce by experimentation (i.e. edit the file locally, perform a remote generation, see if the changed options were used... If not, then restore the local file, the remote file instead, rebuild, etc.). But even once, it does not apply to these objectives and behavior will be verified based on file by a specific version of LabVIEW file, since it is an implementation detail that may change.
