  If you don't have already figured that this out there is a setting in trulink not the phone. Go to settings in the application, the right top gear icon. In the appearance tab, you will see alerts, you can enable alerts there. 1 switch on the calendar, email, social turuns. Each application must have alerts in the iOS. I have not found a way to have a sound alert for text messages. I do not use trulink alerts, was a troublemaker that I receive so many emails.  I had a Apple Watch LIKE haptics for alerts. Text and phone calls. It is much less disruptive if I'm in a meeting or conversation as system sounds.

  RRecently updated my mini iPad 2 and iPhone 6 s.  Now I can no longer control my Kirkland Signature 6 hearing aids which are specifically designed to work with Apple products. They will pair to the top, but I can't control volumn or preset program.  I can control only streaming to the left or right and if streaming music or phone as well. Why Apple would remove this feature.  It was the main reason I bought the iPhone 6 s.

  Have you checked to see if their devices are compatible with the latest version of iOS with Kirkland? Discrete changes can be made in the iOS and as a result, device manufacturers have access to copies of beta from before the software to test their products to ensure that they still work with the latest iOS. Although this is not necessarily the question, I think that Kirkland would be able to better respond to your question here, since no one from Apple is here on the forum. This is a user to user forum.   I am a seller of oil field that moves and I need my first hearing aids.  I have loss of hearing with a classic old guy and it's average but I'm late for h / a. I'm missing an important part of my life and want to hear the birds sing again!  I currently use a 5 s with 9.2 and a bluetooth Plantronics traveler legend.  I have hands free for safe driving and especially for taking notes of value and wear it all day.  I don't listen to music or videos, no vehicle bluetooth and any other iOS device.  The goal is good h/a and the use of good phone.

  I am interested in the Halo of Starkey and research scared me a bit of the questions that I barely understand!  Googling found a lot of comments, but they seem to all written by agents of sale or competitors.

  Where is the microphone bluetooth on the Halos?

  Is the call phone stereo or mono?

  The function of the hearing aid remains so that on the phone?

  In light of my basic needs, all warnings other than the stupid of these things cost?

  I am also considering a 6s, this would be a better phone for the Halo team?

  -->, I can't comment on that, except to say that my experience with multiple iPhones over the years that I have great confidence that each new model is better than the previous. There are a few bumps on the road, but Apple is good enough, solve them. YMMV

  --> Which has not changed for me. It is the nature of sound amplification without being able to directly select that sounds to amplify and to mute.

  --> I like the ability to define a 'from' sensitive geographically, where you can control the volume up down and the bass/treble back. It is a crude tool, but it works.

  I use a Bold 9700 but thought the upgrade of tol a touchscreen Storm 2, but I have a severe hearing problem I use hearing device on my current phone mode.

  Yes, absolutely... but you'll have to experiment and play with a number of effects.  I've heard it's a combination of things... probably a pitch-shifter, delays and some reverb.  Some of the repeated words can be physically edited or they can play until they get a delay or a quite accurate echo.

  The first thing to say is that you can make your editing is much easier by doing your best to imitate this kind of disturbing sound when you actually save the original voice.  You can change the height and add effects, but the original intonation is down from the advertiser.

  Once you have your recording, some things to play with would be:

  Effects/time and Pitch/Stretch and Pitch.  Start with the "lower Pitch" preset but play with the settings to see what you want.

  Effects/Delay and Echo.  On the video link, some sound clips for me, like delay, others like the echo effects.  You'll just have to experiment and see what you like.  Don't forget a can apply the effect to every word... it doesn't have to be the entire file.

  Effects/Reverb.  I would probably start with listening and the Studio Reverb vocal Reverb presets... but having one play with others and also experiment with changing the settings for things like early reflections.

  Some of the clips sounded to me like they played with the phase a little.  Have a game in effects/Modulation/Phaser (or perhaps Flanger)

  Finally, once you have a survey you want, you will probably need adjusting levels with effects/Amplitude and Compression and may normalize... or maybe even a compression.

  Note that many of these effects are processor intensive to do real-time in a multitrack session - you will probably need to apply one after the other in wave form.  However, once you get the settings you like, don't forget that you can save them as Favorites in each of these effects.
