  You know what fixed it? A FACTORY RESET of the phone. Whenever there is a major problem with this POS phone, it MUST be factory reset, reset is not only difficult or subscribed battery. Nope.   Dell Precision 380 running Win7 with Outlook 2 k 7 connected to Exchange 2 k 7 and a BES. The handheld is a Bold 9700 with v5.0.0.545 firmware. The DM syncs via USB.

  Why do you think that your wife would be affected by what you do to your son iPhones?  Looks like the iPhone is out of the loop.

  I was buy storage additional iCloud for my iphone.  It has supposedly been backup in the iCloud regularly, most recently yesterday morning (according to the info on the phone).  I've never had a need to access the backup, but yesterday afternoon, I inadvertently deleted a thread of text message I intended to keep it.  I was relieved to discover, ater googling how to restore deleted texts on an iPhone, that my text messages are allegedly saved automatically through this backup regular iCloud and I should be able to restore it.  However, when signing my account iCloud (to www.icloud.com), it's not even click on an icon of 'Message '.  To add to my confusion, when I click on the "Photo" icon, it is said that my iCloud photo library is empty. By clicking on "Mail" and "Contacts", there is some information at this location, but it's clearly not current. What I am doing wrong?  Where is the information?  Supposedly I use a a little more than 9 GB on the 50 GB I have (according to the 'storage' graphic bar, but it doesn't seem to be there.)  Thank you-

  If you "set up as new" this does not erase the content currently on the iPhone. It's more a set upward for iTunes can communicate with your iPhone. It is really "set up" a return for your iPhone and iTunes connect with your phone.
