RDP Terminal Server Ok in LAN, WAN connection

We have a 2003 TS which users use to connect to most any outside the org. It may be THAT RDP would be inside the network, external users get a reset of the TS session trying to connect to 3389. The port has been sent correctly (Juniper SSG5) firewall and connects show that the application is brought to the TS.
Have you checked the listening port, it is set to 4490, but those internal stop to connect when it passes to 3389 in the registry, and of course the customers WAN not ' connect. Return to 4490, those internal connect at least.

Any help is highly necessary.

Thanks in advance.

  • How to use a VM vyatta to manage my LAN/WAN connections?

I have a simple problem that is hard to explain, so please bear with me. I am using a router Vyatta VM to manage my local network. I have connectivity thoughout my local network but I cannot go outside my local network of the virtual machine. I have a linux box running ubuntu 8.04, vmware server 2.0.2 + vyatta VC6. eth1 on the box gets a public IP address from my ISP (we tell 1.1.1.2 for demonstration).

eth1 has an eth1.2 to interface VLAN with private IP 192.168.1.2/24.

I have some maps more who are bridge interface br0 with IP 192.168.2.2/24.

    Ubuntu eth1 (1.1.1.2) <-WAN

    Eth1.2 Ubuntu (192.168.1.2/24) <-LAN 1

    Br0 (192.168.2.2/24) Ubunru <-LAN 2

    Vyatta eth0 (192.168.1.1/24) is filled to eth1.2 <-LAN 1

    Vyatta eth1 (192.168.2.1/24) is bridged to br0 <-LAN 2

Routes on the GNU / linux and vyatta appear to be configured correctly, but I can't do a ping of the Vyatta VM to the internet (say google http://74.125.45.105) or my gateway address ISP 1.1.1.1 that, however, I can ping from the Vyatta VM to the linux box eth1 1.1.1.2, which is a "public" IP address I thought I'd add a static route to 0.0.0.0/0 next hop 1.1.1.2 would do it but still no cookies. Someone knows what's the problem?

Since Ubuntu (gateway) can access the internet and vyatta can ping ubuntu, supposedly yor vyatta traffic should also masquerade by ubuntu to the internet.

    Run it $. / ICS2 start

  • Windows Server 2003 (64-bit), Terminal Server has 2 mouse pointers when you connect via RDP

I recently reinstalled one of our Terminal Server Windows Server 2003 (64-bit) servers.
When you connect via RDP, I get 2 mouse pointers. One seems to be the pointer to the session that changes of hourglass, etc... and the pointer remains under the arrow.

I have all the updates that are installed.
There is no options on the RDP settings like what I use on other RDP to the other Terminal server sessions and is not on any other I RDP server on my client.

I connected as other RDP clients and get with the same problem, is not a customer number
Is there a setting on the server to disable this option?

How can I remove the pointer that does not change in the session?

  • Terminal Server RDP is very slow!

    Hello!

I have a small network with a domain controller Active Directory (Windows 2003) - including the Exchange, I had a Windows 2003 Terminal Server initially, but have replaced the Windows 2003 Terminal Server with a Terminal Windows 2008 Enterprise Server (not R2). Windows 2008 is a completely new system, not an upgrade.

The problem is that the new Terminal Server ('08) is running very very slow one time the old 2003 Terminal Server is not present on the network. Although I use is no longer the old server, he seems to have an impact on the performance of the network.

For example, if I should shut down the old server, the new server becomes very slow. It takes about 5 + minutes to services/applications load after you try to connect to the server using RDP. You get a white screen for a long time before the icons are loaded and everything works really slow, including Outlook. On the contrary, once the old server is started in Windows, the new server works very well.

All servers are physical boxes and I'm not going to finally get rid of the old Terminal Windows 2003 server.

When you configure the 2008 Terminal Server, I did transfer the IP address of the Terminal Server, the Terminal Server 2008 Server, 2003 server and give the old server a new IP address. I don't know if it has something to do with the behavior, but the old server is not used. It is initialized only to try to keep the stable network.

    Hello

Temporarily disable the security software on both computers and check if it makes a difference.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats.  In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Hi Alain,

I suggest that you raise a pension for this case, we can then allow some indicators of debugging on the connection and see exactly what is happening.

    Hello

In Windows Server 2008 R2 remote desktop services, formerly Terminal Services in Windows Server 2008 and earlier versions, is one of the components of Microsoft Windows (client and server versions) that allows a user to access applications and data on a computer on a network using the Protocol RDP (Remote Desktop). Services Terminal Server is the Microsoft implementation of thin-client terminal server computing, where Windows applications, or even the entire desktop of the computer running Terminal Server Services, are made accessible to a remote client computer. The client may be a computer, running any operating system as long as the Terminal Server services protocol is supported, or a barebone machine powerful enough to support the Protocol with the Terminal services Server, only the user interface of an application is presented to the customer level. Any entry which it is redirected over the network to the server, the application execution takes place.
