  I'm not 100% sure, but I noticed that laptops with AMD processors are not supported WXP. It is the same with my P200D with AMD processor inside.
  I tried to install Windows XP Home edition, but in the end, I optimized preinstalled Vista and after almost 6 months I'm really satisfied. Maybe you should do the same.

  Do you have problems with Vista OS, or maybe you need to use some programs that run only on Windows XP Home edition?

  You don't say how you are trying to install XP and if the manufacturer of your computer has XP drivers available for this purpose to activate XP to be installed and run successfully on this subject.
