  I tried to download the new graphics drivers for the NVidia card, I went to the site of NVidia and downloaded a new driver, which dates back to December 2009, instead of mine, which is July 2009, however, when I try to install it, the system indicates that Joana does no hardware that is compatible with the new driver.

  Could you tell me, what am I doing wrong? I could use any guidance as well. Thank you very much!

  Why you try to use the nVidia display driver? These drivers are not pre-tested on the laptop and installation is at your own risk! In the worst case, you could destroy the graphics chip.

  As Akuma written already using the latest drivers Toshiba because they are pre-tested.

  Why you want to update the display driver? You are not satisfied?
  Remember: never change a running system! ;)

  Have recently bought a new P500 Satellite 12F and I am very happy with it. This PC came only came on the market on 29 Oct. I decided this pilot site updates, bios, etc. and was surprised to find a few tens of individuals in the list.

  When I rang Toshiba support he told me don't bother to install as there may be a danger and if if its ok market don't bother!

  I would like a second opinion please.

  Satellite P500 is newer model comes with the latest drivers, tools and utilities for Toshiba laptop.
  It turns out that the Toshiba doesn't offer updates every month and, in my opinion, you don't need any update to date.

  I guess that your series of satellites well and without some serious software problems. So, touch of an operating system and be happy with your new toy.

  Hi, I just got a DVD driver for this lappy and is a self intall of all drivers that are missing or that need to update, when ran I was told of the Skate track had disappeared, and started to load, but it will not I tried a load of strength in vain Hat too, the track pad did not work since getting this second hand could the block be disconnected from the motherboard?
  This would make the driver not loading please?

  In front of me, I have Satellite P500 and I use it almost 10 months now without a single update. What I'm updating are important updates from Microsoft. More than that and so far I didn't notice a single hardware or software problem.
  After reading your ad m a little confused.

  As far as I know Toshiba doesn't offer any DVD for that laptop, not any kind of pilot DVD so please be so kind and tell me which DVD driver is and who has created and offered this DVD.

  original is Win7 64 bit OS (original image of recovery Toshiba) preinstalled on this P500?

  Get the "blue screen" too often, the message suggests that this might be the cause:

  What blue screen, you get exactly? Can you post the code as 0 x 00000123 bluescreen.

  The touchpad does appear in Device Manager correctly and did you test if other FN keys work correctly?
  What operating system is currently installed?

  There are different reasons why the touchpad does not work, but first of all I recommend reinstalling the driver for the touchpad itself. You can download it from the official European driver Toshiba download page.

  Regarding the backlight keyboard: it s based on the motherboard if there is a second keyboard to the keyboard backlight connector. Normally, you can check this if you disassemble the laptop and remove the keyboard and take a look at the motherboard, but if you are not familiar with the disassembly of the laptop I would ask a maintainer approved assistance. :)

• Problem with my Satellite P500-12F HDMI

  When I plug the HDMI cable into the port on the computer, the system generates the message "Connected TV haven't is either not turned on, is in sleep state or does not support REGZA-LINK (HDMI Control)" my computer screen then empties and my desktop appears on television, whereas it should be on both screens. Also, the HDMI option disappeared from my PowerDVD program as well.

  I received a message from Tempro Download Manager control HDMI a few days ago that I did, but when I checked the updates, it tells me the last of them was 13/11/09 without reference to it the latter.

  I checked the cables and ports on the TV, I can't think what I can do.

  Whenever I have Toshiba Support ring I always feel to do away with the same answer: 'use your recovery disks.

  My recent problem concerns the power options, there is a slider that allows to increase the brightness of your screen.

  My cursor is located in the Center, but if I try to move the slider to increase the brightness, it becomes darker instead, also if I select 'high performance' it becomes darker, even if I select 'eco', it becomes more clear.

  I think it's a hardware problem, while T.Support think it's a software problem and advise using my recovery

  discs, which as everyone knows is a problem a lot of your time.

  I am gettinga message on start up"checking file system on C: the type of file system is NTFS. Volume label is S3A8372DOO4. "and it goes no further everything it just stops.

  Also says a disk check has been programmed to jump press a key, but it stops at 1 second and no key that I touched it starts...

  Then choose Mode safe mode with command prompt
  Here, you should try to use the command: * f * chkdsk

  I m using Nero and in my opinion one of the apps better combustion.
  Here, I can choose between CD, DVD, DL or Blueray (only possible if the CD/DVD drive also supports this).

  Have you also checked diffΘrents CDs from different manufacturers?
  You should do this since not all disks are 100% compatible.
  I had several problems with different CD or DVD in most of the cases it was a compatibility issue, I tried TDK and this kind of drive is compatible with my CD/DVD drive
