Re-install Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2007 to keep

I have an Alienware m15x, I bought from Dell in 2009. I customized my order when I bought, so it came with Microsoft Office pre-installed. The summer is slow and I got diverted by some viruses adware because of my carelessness, so rather than understand how if RID and clean my system, I decided to start again and re - install Windows 7. Is saved in my restore partition so if I restore, office will be re-installed too?

Your Microsoft Office 2007 will not be saved on the original image. You should have received an identity card of Microsoft product with your system that contains your 25-digit product key. You can use this to download an installer for the product activation and Microsoft. For more information including the download link, see my Download Microsoft Officewiki.

If you do not have your MPI card, then run Belarc Advisor on your old installation. This utility will show you your Microsoft Office 2007 product key.

For optimal performance, follow my /A Guide reinstalling WindowsClean install of Windows 7.

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.  For this problem, you will need to contact the PC manufacturer.  If they do not restore disk there probably a restore hard disk partition.  If that's the case then you should be able to access at startup to restore your system if not factory (this will erase all data on the disc normally).  Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

    Hello

You might need to CD in Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2007 CD to reinstall it on your computer. If the computer has been pre-installed with Windows XP by the manufacturer, you can contact them about this.

You can visit the below mentioned link for more information.

  • Installation of Windows 7 and Microsoft Office registration.

I have a laptop gave me a few years ago by my University because of my dyslexia. The lap top came with Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 already installed OME. I have no number or product key, I want to remove Vista and install Windows 7, which I brought it. How can I save Microsoft Office during this operation.

I don't know what is 'OME of office. "  There is no such sequence.  Perhaps you mean "OEM", but which is not yet say what you have.  Perhaps mean you "Office Home and Student 2007".  For example, why not open Word, click on the file tab, then help.  Your office suite should be registered.  There may be a place where you can download your suite Office 2007.  See http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-office_install/here-are-the-download-locations-for-office-2010/ac67aa2f-dc1c-46f4-8b1d-ca00b3f02a18

Legally, if someone gives or you sells a PC, they are bound to you or sell you the licenses for the software installed on this PC as well.  Apply to the University for the license keys they need you.  They should also provide all material supplied with the PC as the installation diskettes.

Maybe your PC has a recovery partition.  In this case, you can create a recovery disc for yorself.  These records must contain the material to reinstall everything that came installed in the factory.  See if you can create these discs, an optical disc or on a USB key.

There are free tools that can help you recover the licesne key of installed software.  See this: http://answers.microsoft.com/message/1d5260c5-0dff-4756-9b53-82f0edc9c498?threadId=09835b9f-eeb6-4aee-87e0-c553e05e8031

  • After uninstalling printer Windows Installer and Microsoft Office error "this update package not could be opened"

Original title: Windows Installer and Microsoft Office problems after you have uninstalled the printer

I tried to install more than one printer, a HP Photosmart C4280 by downloading the drivers and updates on the HP site. I uninstalled the printer after it failed to scan a document and I had no more use for it. Then the trouble started. When I tried to open some programs (iTunes, Skype, etc.) for the first time after the uninstall of the printer, a window "Windows Installer" popped up. After you have configured Windows Installer, the program would open normally. However, when I try to open any Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.), Windows Installer appears, but it turns into a window that reads:
"This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer update package. »

Microsoft Office programs are open at all, and I desperately need my programs of Microsoft Office to work even faster. I would appreciate it if Windows Installer will stop trying to configure when I open a program also. Can someone help me please?

  • Windows 7 and Microsoft Office installed a series of updates and now I can't open hyperlinks in emails.

Once my system has rebooted and I opened my emails in outlook, when I clicked on a hypertext link, there me no where. I don't have an error message. I went back in and make Firefox my default program with all the extensions and protocols for Firefox. However, when I click on a hyperlink in an e-mail message, it still opens not in Firefox. This little trick has IE and Microsoft is now to change my system. Until I have updated files, hyperlinks in emails open in Firefox. Help, please. I hate IE!

Windows doesn't know it should start to Firefox to open these links.
Try this first. Launch IE (yes I know) and set it as the default browser. After
Close IE. Wait a few moments, then launch Firefox. Then set FF as a default.

I tried a system restore and nothing - I received a message saying restore failed.

    No idea what past?

    Hi sherylls

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem.

Question: The Windows update install you installed, what was the installer of Windows or the Windows Installer Cleanup utility?
If it wasn't the cleanup utility, please get it from the link below and see if that fixes the problem.

If this does not resolve the problem or if this is what you have already tried, please see the link below on the manual removal of Office 2007 (my apologies, I am assuming you are using Office 2007)

  • 57 a code error when you install Windows Update KB982312 (MS Office 2007)

KB982312 update continually moved.  This is an update for MS Office 2007.  It gives an error code of 57A.  Earlier, I asked if I should install MS Office updates that I don't have MS Office on my computer.  I was told here that I should install them.  I have MS Works installed well.  If I put the update in the hidden list?

    Hello

Here's what I recommend you do:

1 disable UAC. Down comes the restrictions - turn it off completely.
2 restart your computer for the change to take effect.
3 re - download the update of security for Microsoft Office System 2007 (KB982331) from the link below:

    5. If it still does not work, try to open all or part of your MS Office applications (such as MS Word, MS Excel, etc.).
    6. follow step 3.

I have never been able to use microsoft office products, since I got my pc.  Was not that important because I had a working pc I use.  I don't do that anymore.  I was never able to find the so-called theproduct code provided with my pc so I could access office documtns.  I would like to be able to buy and download microsoft office so that I don't need to rely on it, but not find much that is compatible.  Is the best answer to switch operating systems, then get software?

  • Where is the tree of directories under Windows 7? Just bought a new laptop with 7 on it, but where can I move my hanging files from my desktop running XP and Microsoft Office 2007 files?

I'm having a time difficult transition from XP to Windows 7. Thanks for the input.

    Hello

Thank you fo contact Microsoft Community,

Directory tree can be found on the left side of the Explorer windows or windows computer. If my guess is right, you are looking for the directory of the user account. In Windows XP, it is present in "C:\Documents and Settings" (if C:\ is be the operating system disk partition). In Windows 7, it is "C:\Users" (of course, C:\ represents the partition where Windows 7 is present).

Here, for the office, it goes: C:\Users\\Desktop

  • All Microsoft Office 2007 shortcut icons, filetype icons and icons in the taskbar running have become generic on Windows 7 64.

EDIT: PLEASE ACTUALLY READ THE DESCRIPTION THAT I HAD ALREADY TRIED THE SUGGESTED THINGS AND DETAILS TO THE QUESTIONS THAT ARE ASKED ARE ALREADY IN POSITION.

I don't know what is happening, but it's driving me crazy, especially with the new start menu style that shows the icon, I am unable to say what program is because the icon looks like a generic file. If I go to default Programs editor all file extensions that are associated with Microsoft Office 2007 have become generic. How can I fix? What could have caused this?

Note on the file program (exe) himself the icon is there, but not on anything else!

I had this problem in the past and I just do a reformat/reinstall of windows and it has a way to date. I tried to regenerate my cache icon so that repair the installation of MS Office and even uninstalling and reinstalling MS Office all to nothing does not.

System Restore is not enabled then please do not suggest that.

I feel that I noticed this time that happens right after the installation of VMWare Player. It could be related? The last time when it happened, it seems possible that I had also installed VMWare Player recently but I don't remember.

    Thank you.

    Hello

It all depends on how you created your shortcuts. Are you talking about default desktop shortcuts in the start menu > all programs > Microsoft Office folder. These folders are shortcuts custom icons Windows Installer created by office... not directly since the EXE file. An Office repair must recreate these shortcuts. If not, you could try to remove all your desktop shortcuts and run a repair.
Here's a quick way to fix a few shortcuts:
Click on START and type > run > press enter
Paste the following command line and and change the # symbols with the appropriate below version of office.
    MsiExec.exe/FS {90120000-00#- 0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}
Replace the # by the code in the appropriate version of the Office
    Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 = 11
    Microsoft Office Standard 2007 = 12
    Microsoft Office Professional 2007 = 14
    Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 2nd =
Microsoft Office Small Business 2007 = CA
Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 = 2F
Missing? Other products are listed in this article:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/928516
You can also create shortcuts in the old-fashioned way. Right-click on your desktop and select new > shortcut
Browser to the Microsoft Office\Office 12\ (select the program)...
    I hope this helps

  • Microsoft Office 2007 - Installation and update problems - Malware

    Hello

    I have Windows XP, SP2.

I have Microsoft Office 2007, and use Norton Internet Security 2011.

I installed Office using my drive.  Before installing it, I scanned viruses.  Everything was going well until I installed Windows updates for Office 2007.

Now, my Norton Live updates will not install updated...

In my view, there a virus in the Office programs or updates.  I had to do a recovery a few days ago and did not know where to get the malware.  Now, I think it's from the installation of Office 2007 or updates.

Enjoy an overview and advice because I think that my computer is now infected.

    Thank you

  • Update of Windows Live Essentials 2011 (KB2434419) beat Microsoft Office 2007

Immediately after the installation of Windows Live Essentials 2011 (KB2434419) through Windows Update on my Vista 32 system, Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate invites to enter the license key code and starts the installation.  The normal template is gone/modified so that all the options of the program are returned to default original.  I saw this happen at two other PC's today so I know that this isn't an isolated incident.  Is asked for license key code in Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.  If I don't give the key code, a screen repsonds that installation has been cancelled; However, all the custom settings for the program were still missing.

In all these cases, the BONES and the Office have legitimate activated licenses is not the question.

Just noticed that Outlook lost one email account and the account settings button is broke (grey) so I can't recreate the e-mail account.
