• Satellite U400 - 10L: problem with the start-up & reboot

  Well I don't like much about the touchpad overheating but I have a problem. When I restart this mobo instead of activate after a reboot it stays black without any reaction only lower diods, dvd - rom and the display flashes (can't hear fan or hard drive).

  If I press the power button / stop all the icons of diod (ac, pwr, hdd bat) shine up just for a second and new (can't hear the fan hard drive or cpu) computer does not turn on. All this happened only when AC cable is connected to the power if I use just notebook power source battery boots and restart without problems.

  If I remove battery completely from the laptop, once more, I get the same symptoms (cannot start). And the saddest part of this story is the fact that I got brand new Toshiba U400 10 L to the seller and got a new.
  It has the exact same problem.
  As you all probably understand im crazy because in the last two days, I tried really everything, including the BIOS without flashing and the success.

  Well im not sure whats going on, but this could be the problem with the battery or a bad contact?
  Any ideas?

  The behavior of your laptop is really strange and I suppose it might be bound only to a hardware problem.

  A friend of mine couldn't t start the laptop connected to the AC adapter the power adapter is faulty. It was only possible to start Notepad using the battery, and only if the battery was not completely empty.

  I put t know if your AC adapter failures but the authorized service provider should definitely check out the laptop and accessory for laptop (AC adapter).

  Then call the ASP in your country and ask the technicians for later handling.

  Today I bought new Toshiba Satellite u400 - 10 laptop with no included operating system, so I installed windows XP successfully, but I faced a problem, such as a shortage of a pilot, because there is no additional disk in the box (only for laptop, cabel DC and some TEXTBOOKS). As soon as I opened my device manager, I've seen a lot of hardware is not recognized by my laptop: access quick, webcam, Sound card, video card, adapter wireless network, 6 keys and so on.

  Satellite U400 - 10l belongs to the series of PSU40E and it supports the audio chip Conexant CX20561
  You need the Conexant audio driver in order to get the proper functioning!

  Please note that the Win XP drivers placed on the Toshiba page are released for Win 32 bit OS! Usually, they don t work with 64 bit XP!
  If you need Win XP 64 bit Conexant sound driver you need to search n 3 third-party pages for this driver.

  In addition, you must install Win XP service packs newer!
  SP3 includes many fixes that are necessary and important.
  SP3 must be installed before installing the audio driver.

  I think that you should first check if the touchpad is not disabled.
  Check the FN + F9 key combination.

  However, now I have to work privately with a PC / laptop and I need help: I'm sitting in front of a Toshiba Satellite U400-11 q with a HARD drive completely newly formatted and unfortunately WITHOUT recovery CD or DVD!

  So far I managed to format the new HARD drive and put a Windows Vista Home Basic (OEM software) from my old pc on this notebook. However, nothing works again (I want to get into the Internet, etc.).

  So, I now have to put on all the involved drivers as well as drivers TOSHIBA original, right?

  How can I do this? What drivers to I need? Do I have to download all the drivers concerned (total 113) one by one on the Web from Toshiba site?

  ANY help is appreciated as I see myself spend all night in front of the PC...

  It is important to know if you can get all the drivers for your model laptop and Windows XP. This should be checked on the official page of Toshiba:

  Satellite C660-12R belongs to the PSC0QE series and as you can see all the drivers for Windows XP are available so to install XP should be no problem. You can download the drivers official and pre-tested. :)

  In General, any external monitor is compatible.
  But the question is how do you want to connect the external monitor to the laptop

  For example the Satellite C650D - 10H supports the port external monitor (RGB port) only.
  If you need to use this port to connect the external monitor.

  It seems that the Hanns G HL195 18.5 inch widescreen LED monitor supports the VGA input, so you should be able to connect this monitor using normal VGA cable.

  I have the Satellite U400-PSU44E. It was the Vista Home Premium pre-installed spirit, but I had to install XP Pro.
  Under XP I have problem with installing the drivers. If I try to install driver sound I get info that the media is not found, even with the modem driver. I tried to install the electricity utility of Eve - in the last step of the installation, I get an error, and this error ia´m getting always ia´m try to uninstall this version adding utility / Removo programs.
  HARD drive protection utility I also install the Cana´t - I Dona´t don't know if this feature is supported in my Toshiba, but if this pilot is being Satellite U400 PSU44E I think it should be.
  ChipSet drivers and BIOS I installed as the first.
  I downloaded only the drivers from the web site of Toshiba (ce.computers.toshiba...) for win XP.

  Any suggestions?

  I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A100-797 and want to upgrade to Windows 7, it will be available. When I run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, it shows me a few errors that make the upgrade is not possible.

  Hi just wondering if p25 accessories are compatible with a computer laptop p20

  Well, the P25 was designed for the American market and the P20 for the European market.
  However, the two devices appear to be very similar and possibly accessories could work on two laptops.
  But that is only my suggestion and I have not tested. I also not found any additional information in the internet about the compatibility of the devices on these books.
