Re-make Windows 7 upgrade
I updated Vista to Win 7 use in place method. Not happy with the result. So I want to re - install Vista - then repeat the Win 7 Upgrade to see if I can get a cleaner result.
Question: once I re - install Vista, do I need to get all upgrades of Vista before the upgrade to Windows 7.
I have a few questions more because I think that my way through this process.
(1) I have 32-bit and 64-bit upgrade of the media. I'll do a clean install of Windows 7 from the upgrade media. Can I use the 64-bit support even if Vista is 32 bit?
Yes you can, but you need to perform a "Custom" / clean install of Windows 7 because there is no direct upgrade from an OS 32 bits of a 64 bit OS. Data files should be backed up before you begin and application will need to be reinstalled.
(2) I have the original disks of Office 2007 with product key. Can I download the 64 bit MS Office 2007, you wrote in your last post.
Office key should be good for download and install both versions.
Thank you almost there!

Qosmio X 300 - 15U - key product for Windows 7 upgrade disc
Hi all
first post here :)I have a Qosmio X 300 15U and just bought DVD update for the operating system: to Vista64 for Windows 7 (home premium).
I got it by Toshiba Windows 7 upgrade site.I installed the upgrade and it works fine, so far.
Only possible problem for the future, is that I can't find product key label Windows 7 attached to the case of paper (probably lost) DVD
I have the DVD (for other series, almost...)Anyone know if it is possible to make the Toshiba support, send my old Windows 7 key product or a new (only in the case of reinstall...)
It also appears that Microsoft has validated my install via their tool (WGA, I think)
I have to go back to using MS (paid), for such a (simple, for me) case?
Hope not.Thank you very much.
Bye,.
Diego
I don't know if Toshiba can send you a new label productkey, you must call the assistance service. But to find your product, you need a key research tool.
Try [link: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/productkeysactivation/tp/topkeyfinder.htm] for a list of these programs. -

Web site: www.toshibawin7upgrade.com does not work.
So I have a few questions:
Where is my Windows 7 upgrade Kit and why they get my money back and is unable to make a delivery to my home in the Ukraine?
Hi Buff
I'm sorry to hear you are still waiting for order upgrade kit.
You will not be happy with my comment, but I must say that it is user forum and no one here will be able to offer you help or answer your question.Try to contact Toshiba s hotline in your country and ask for help. Maybe they can help you with that.
If you have received a confirmation e-mail from Toshiba try also to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider. They have good contacts to Toshiba and I hope they can help you about this.In any case, I hope it will be get classified as update kit soon.

XP to Windows 7 Upgrade on SCSI system
I am runnig XP Pro and I bought Windows 7 Home Premium. I want to upgrade. I run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and everything is there. Now, I have two problems. (1) my system is completely SCSI. The BONE was on the C; ------C:\ crashed and I installed a 2nd copy on another drive. It's now my boot drive. I think I can upgrade to Windows 7, "Custom Installation", but I can't find a driver for my guest card. (2) I would like to make my current boot C:\ drive, but do not know if this is possible.
the only way to make a start on the c: OS / player is to disconnect all the drives except one and install fresh windows.
You cannot change the drive letter of the boot drive if it is different from c:
as for a driver, you must go to the manufacturer's Web site to find a compatible driver for xp or win 7 according to which you want to install.

can I switch from Windows Vista to Windows 10 one-step bypassing Windows 7, 8.1 etc.. ? For a free upgrade offer applies here?
Hello
You must purchase an operating system to be upgraded, regardless of which path to take.
Depends on hardware configuration required on later operating systems, and also find out if the manufacturer of the laptop computer is supported and provides drivers for operating systems later as to whether it is possible or feasible to upgrade or not.
There is no free upgrade Vista to 7, 8.1, or 10.
Follow these steps before you buy Windows 7.

When I click on the Windows 7 Upgrade nothing happens and the program does not start.
This is on a Dell Vostro 1520.
I'm trying to reinstall an os upgrade Windows 7 32 bit.
I am currently using Vista 32 bit. I sell the dell so I formatted and reinstalled 32 bit Vista OS.
The computer was running on an operating system Windows 7 before the reinstall.
Now when I click on the Windows 7 upgrade it does not load.
When I try to open since the reboot it will not open either.
What now?
Hey, Slugger,
New installation leaves you a better overall installation,
Installation custom own steps

To avoid losing everything that you will need to save copies of all files, photos and other information that you want to keep an external storage device. Windows Easy Transfer is a free tool allows you to copy your files (but not programs) from your PC and then transfer them back after you have installed Windows 7. If you don't want to use Windows Easy Transfer, you can copy the files you want to keep on a USB stick or CD/DVD.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/Windows-easy-transfer3. find the discs original installation and license/product keys associated to programs currently on your computer because you will have to manually reinstall your programs after installing Windows 7. Depending on what you have installed, you may be able to download programs from the Internet.
4. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in your PC. When asked "which type of installation you want. Click on "Custom (advanced)." Note: 32 to 64-bit requires restart and boot from the DVD.
5. when Windows 7 is installed, you can use Windows Easy Transfer (or a different backup method you used) to restore your files & settings and use your installation disks to reinstall all your programs. Then you're done - take advantage of Windows 7.
Steps 2, 3and 4 are recommended for Dell not offering systems not Windows 7 installed at the factory. Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to check that all of your software and computer components are ready for Windows 7. This application will scan your system and make recommendations on what to do before the upgrade to Windows 7.
