Cannot use scanner on my Tecra M10 finger print

Hi all

I have a toshiba tecra M10 PTMB1E laptop with fingerprint reader. IM on windows 7. now the problem I have is that I can't find any application program to run the fingerprint software? ive tried various software downloads of fingerprints on the toshiba site, but nothing works? If I check the devices drivers for the scanner are installed properly. If I type fingerprint in the box of files of research program, he is back with the following

use your fingerprint with windows
stop using your fingerprint with windows
Maintain your fingerprint data
Remove your fingerprints data
biometric devices
change the biometric parameters

If I click on the first option, it takes me to an authentec page that says under construction? as if I'm going in "manage your fingerprint data?

I can turn power biometrics, but nothing happens to start up, which allows me to use my fingerprints?

If I go to the peripheral page biometric in the hardware section it says im not registered? If I click the link highlighted blue 'use your fingerprint with windows' it only take back me to this page of AUTHENTEC .com? and all that is under construction with different links page?

scanners still used these laptops with windows more? or sector support windows?

Hello

On the page of the Toshiba UE driver you can find the fingerprint software and uninstall of fingerprints (this tool is needed to remove the fingerprint reader software)

You need the software of fingerprint...
... more I recommend checking this docuemtn Toshiab concerning the use of the fingerprints:

Computers laptop Toshiba were delivered with Toshiba recovery disks and not drive comparable to the WXP Microsoft installation disc. These recovery disks cannot be used for the repair option, but for a clean install only. So, after reading your ad I n t understand what disc you are using.

Anyway, what you can try is to get somewhere original Microsoft installation disc and try to fix it using the REPAIR option.

    Hi mate

I think that it is not a question of Toshiba, but this question should be directed to the support of the manufacturer of the printer.

However, our community is trying to help everybody as much as possible
I searched a bit and found this video youtube how to fix error TWAIN_32.DLL

  • What about error 126 & 1068? Cannot use scanner or printer.

I keep getting notes saying 'the service is not running' went to 'services' and enabled the number of items that seem appropriate, but I seem to be missing some key service module.

When you attempt to start the Print Spooler Service, error 1068 means "the dependency service does not exist. the dependency service or group was able to start. »

126 error usually means that some module, named in the error message cannot be found.

In general, it is much more helpful if you quote the whole of the text of the error messages, without paraphrasing.

Without more information from you, my ma conjecture guess is that you used to have a Lexmark printer (or printer Lexmark Dell-badged) and then uninstalled.

    So...
What are the brands and models of all currently installed printers?
Have you already installed Lexmark or Dell printer?
What happened to your computer before the problem occurs?

To deliver your print system to its "normal" configuration
Click Start, and then click Run.
Type the following in the "Open" box, and then click OK
dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS

Make sure there is a space after the = sign, but not before he

You should be able to print without these errors now.

  • Satellite X 200-response of poor quality for the finger print scans

    Hello

The scanner on my X 200 finger printing has recently begun to return a response of 'Poor quality' finger scans for Windows Vista logon.
He had worked flawlessly since purchase, but all of a sudden (not gradually anyway) stopped scans for connect.

My first thought is maybe a Windows update broke something but I know not where search, everyone has seen or heard talk about it or know how to solve the problem, I can hardly believe that it is a hardware problem, that one day he was working the next day it wasn't.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello Josh

This can happen from time to time. I recommend you to clean the sensor. I hope after that cleaning, it works well again.

  • Tecra M10 cannot install OS using disc SSD Kingston

    Hi all.

I am a computer tech and can usually find a way to fix something myself, (rock Google!).

But recently I had a Kingston SSDNOW 64 GB drive and decided to install in my Tecra M10 age of 12 months. 4 weeks ago I had a full head of hair, now I am completely bald.

The drive is recognized in the BIOS, but whenever I try to install Windows on it, I get nothing. I tried the recovery DVDs XP, recovery DVDs Vista The, the "free" upgrade Windows 7 recovery DVD, and a DVD Vista & Windows 7 retail. I can't drive to be recognized to install Windows.

I can copy the existing disk image, but it starts the splash screens and blue. Normally I think that driver RAID or hard disk controller, but Kingston assures me that there is no requirement on the one hand, (and a standard SATA drive does not require a, I tried).

I checked and installed the latest version of the BIOS for laptop. There is no update available for the SSD firmware. So I find myself with a laptop that always uses a slow, (relatively) hard drive and a very pretty silver rectangular Clipboard.

Can anyone think of anything whatsoever that I missed. Anyone working for Toshiba can tell me if there is a BIOS update for this problem (I search the forum and found many people who are struggling for SSDS working in Toshiba laptops)?

The sad thing is that the former other laptop I got for my son accepts the player and works fine!
I had many prefer to buy Toshiba, but I want SSD technology rather sooner than later, and if Toshiba does not go to support, I might have to change of Lenovo or Acer.

    Rob.

    > Normally I would RAID driver or controller hard drive, but Kingston assures me that there is no requirement on the one hand, (and a standard SATA drive does not require one, I tried).

I think you have misunderstood something the SSD drive does not need SATA drivers BUT the fact the OS (Win XP, Vista or Win 7)!

The SATA drivers are needed to recognize the HDD/SSD under Windows OS.
New generation of portable supports the new SATA controllers that require SATA drivers.

You will find on the European driver Toshiba Intel Storage Manager page

Intel Storage Manager contains the SATA drivers that are required to install the OS.

    Welcome them

  • Can I use Tecra A10 OS disk to install the OS on Tecra M10?

I have a tecra A10 complete with Windows Vista Business installed (and saved in an image using Easeus Todo backup file

However I also have access to a Tecra M10 entered without an operating system, although the sticker COST (product key) is the same for a windows Vista Business.

My question is: would my Windows Vista Business backup work A10 on the M10 (i.e. would it load hard disk M10 and then to work properly)

If someone can advise on this subject I would be grateful if you please

    Best wishes
    Ian

At first, I must say that Toshiba recovery image created separately for each laptop model and it is 100% created to work on the specific model. Why?
Each laptop model has different hardware platform and all the drivers, tools and utilities for some models are part of the recovery image. These recovery images are also tested.

Generally if the two models have the same hardware platform (hardware) it can be used.

  • Tecra M10 - 17U use second HARD drive in the Bay of ODD

    Hello

I try one of this popular box that allows me to put a second hard drive in the Bay optical slot, I use a Sata to Sata adapter, so there is not really an adapter and more properly connect:

    [http://www.akasa.co.uk/update.php?tpl=product/product.detail.tpl&no=181&type=Enclosures&type_sub = 2.5%20Enclosure&model=AK-OA2SSA-BK]

My problem is with the BIOS Toshiba waiting for a STRANGE device in this Sata port and cams out with a "CD" error, disable the Sata port.

I have a workaround, if I start the PC, BIOS after with what this either in the Bay of the STRANGE, after Windows starts, I have insert the second HARD drive in the Bay of ODD, go to "Windows Device Manager" a 'check for changes on the hardware"and voila, the second HDD works fine , for me, it shows a limitation in the BIOS.

Y at - it assistance, a Beta BIOS or something else, I have the latest BIOS 3.00 for this machine installed.

    Please check this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=39412

It seems that Tecra M10 does not support a select bay that would allow you to use a 2nd HDD rather than the ODD.
    As far as I know select bay is compatible with the Tecra M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, S1, S2

PS: Sorry for my poor English :)

    Hi mate

TECRA A10 - 13I is certainly capable of that means you can use 2 x 4 GB RAM RAM 8 GB.

    What is the report DirectX?
Check the value of memory here. In order to access the DirectX, you must use the command * dxdiag *.

  • Choose use Bay does Tecra M10

Someone knows what kind of select bay (slim, ultra slim, very fat or what) use the 'new' Tecra M10 and can tell me where it is written that info on an official site of Toshiba...

Tip: don't waste time uploading the plug technical Toshiba, it isn't there, don't waste time to download the user guide; It is not there either...

    Pat

Tecra M10 didn't select bay and that's the reason why you can't find information on this topic.

    Good bye

  • Tecra M10 - 11U - DVD + cannot read & disk partitions

    Hi all

I just got my new Tecra M10 - 11U and noticed 2 things troubling
    (1) my DVD cannot read DVD + R - Vista recognized the DVD and its type, but cannot open it. Ideas?
    (2) my drive letters are C and E, where is my D drive, is the hidden recovery drive?
Is it safe to change the E to D drive

    Nirko

    Hello

    1. it is not easy to provide a response to this. The question is rather general and who knows what kind of things is on this DVD + R media.
2 D drive probably doesn t exist. You can check if the D drive letter is available for free. If so this means that this player is not available. You can check in computer management > disk management. Choose the second partition and click with the right mouse button > choose the option change the drive letter or path. You will see that D is available here.

Recovery disk doesn t exist and it is not hidden. Toshiba recovery image is saved in the folder called HDDRecovery on the second partition.
    * You can change the drive letters, but before you do anything whatsoever, please create recovery DVD.*

  • HP ENVY 15 laptop: I want to use scanner printing build - in finger

    Hello

I want to use Windows 10 build - in finger print scanner (without using the simple past). In fact, I can add my fingerprint in Windows, but when I try to log in, nothing happens. Simple pass works without problem.

    Regarding

HP Simplepass seems to interfere with built in finger of Windows Service. I had the same problem you did.

Since my laptop has refused to install the update for HP Simplepass Assistant HP told me to install, I completely uninstalled HP SimplePass.

Then, I went in the Services pane and restarted the Windows Biometric Service.

Boom, the built in Windows 10 biometric identification elements now work perfectly.
