  I don't know about you, but I guess that this error has something to do with the HARD drive. It must be a problem with the HARD drive. I recommend you to speak with the closest authorized maker Toshiba. I hope that the laptop is still under warranty and if the HARD disk is defective it will be exchanged free of charge.

  I ve checked the U.S. Toshiba support page and noticed that your laptop model is not supported for Windows XP Home edition, but for Vista 32 bit only.

  Sorry, but you cannot use this option without the right tool WXP.

  I use a dial-up connection on my home computer, and d/l a 17 MB package takes about 90 minutes.  So, I use a public computer with free high-speed d/l the software that I need to stay up to date.

  Setup of Adobe Shockwave for web is configured to update the computer that is running the download, and this isn't what I want to do.  I need a link which you alow me to d/l a standalone install package I can store it on a USB stick and the transport of the public computer to my computer at home.

  I have spent a lot of time searching the Adobe site and have been unable to find such a link.  Please provide me with a link to a web page where I can find a link to a stand-alone Shockwave installation package.  I found such a page for the different packages to install Flash Player, so I hope that such a page exists for the Shockwave Player.

  BTW, a mail of answer would be much appreciated, because your site is very slow to navigate at the speed of remote access.

  Unfortunately I didn't find the commands of Toshiba and Infred driver for Win XP

  But I think I have another solution.

  Visit the page of European driver of Toshiba and choose the Win XP drivers for Satellite PSMA0E series.
  You can find the Toshiba control tool that controls buttons.
  The infrared driver should be part of the Win XP, so it shouldn't t be installed separately

  I have a 2 years Satellite a205-S4617 I want to install XP on. Before wiping Vista if I'm trying to locate and download all the drivers, I need because I got caught out due to lack of drivers for laptop before.

  Problem is that Toshiba seems to have forgotten that they have never done the A205 model. He has not mentioned anywhere on the site or listed in the drop-down lists for current laptops or abandoned.

  Anyone know why this is and where I can find the exact drivers I need? I tried a few software solutions, and Yes, they see my drivers and tell me that some could do with updating but then request payment before you tell me where to get them.
  It's weird the way Toshiba does not even recognize my serial number is.

  I checked the page and there's not all the XP drivers, it seems that you have to collect the rest of them on Web sites external

  An alternative, you can try some European Satellite A200 XP drivers. As far as I know, these models are similar:

  You have two options;
  Either you install Win XP with SATA drivers or without the SATA drivers.

  If you want to install Win XP without SATA drivers, you will need to draw the SATA AHCI compatible mode option in the BIOS. But in this case the HARD disk, performance would be lower.

  If you want to use the SATA performance, then you need the SATA driver.
