Re: Satellite L850 changes display on its own

Hello everyone,

My problem is that my laptop changes between project options on its own.
Project options = when you press F4, you see.
It's really annoying because I can't work when it does 6 - 12 times per minute.

THX Grini

To be honest I never heard of something like that.
What you can try is to enter the BIOS settings and set it to default settings.

By the way: how old is your laptop? Since when did you notice this behavior?

    Hello

Take a look in the download area of the Satellite L850 PSKDLE series drivers.
You will find the ATI / AMD display driver and these two series use the same graphics chip so this driver should work for the PSKG8E series too.

  • Why the last Satellite L850-138 display driver is older?

Last June, Toshiba update the display drivers for my laptop to 9.0... But a few days ago they just pulled out an older version. Why?

    24/09 / 13--> 8.932.5.3 - 120120 a

    > But a few days ago they just pulled out an older version. Why?

Why? I think that this could be answered by Toshiba only. But this is a user to user forum.
However, I found this doc on the Support from Toshiba page:

[After sleep mode, a distorted image or a split screen may be displayed: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB3903IB0000R01.htm]

Display driver AMD V9.12.0.0, which was automatically installed through the Windows Update feature cause some problems. Another update has solved this problem.

By the way: the drivers are not only for the L850 series but released also for other series.

Hello. I think you have to "train" your new battery to the load sensor give real information about it. You must make a minimum 5-6 charging cycles. For this you need full - charge it and unplug the AC, wait for the battery to go until your portable computer shuts down (you can work on it as usual) and then full - charge again. The repetition. If you have used your new battery for a while, then, perhaps, you would need more charge cycles.

PS-once I had a message on the State of health of my battery in L - 50. I've done full-load/full discharge for about two weeks. Now the status of my battery is still good.

  • a pc with a stand-alone module, real-time can display of its own data

    Hi all

It is sort of a basic question, and it's probably why I can't find the answer explicitly in textbooks or the forum posts.

If I want to use a PC as a unit in real time, and I install the LabView time real OS on it and make an Application of real-time on another machine and compile it in the PC target in time real LabView, can I attach a monitor or a kind of screen directly to the PC unit in real time to display some data I need?  Or do I still need a Labview PC to act as a host for display data and interface with a user?

Thanks for the info!  I have some experience of labview, making some other applications but I have never used the RealTime module yet so I don't know much. So if there is a good place for more information in time real LabView for use a PC as a device target, which may also be of interest and would be appreciated!

    Thanks again.

    Hi Steve,.

Our objectives in real time are designed to work in headlessly, which means that they are independent and have no user interfaces.  It comes to screens.  For a display of information, you must use a host VI, on a host computer. There are several ways to move data between a target RT and a host PC including, but without limitation, TCP, UDP, network flow, published static Variables of network and Web Services.  These are all covered in documents on best practices.

Here is a page real-time best practices:

Here's a page on the conversion of a desktop computer to a target RT:

    Good luck with your project.

    Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite L850-1j9, (PSKG8E-02D00KCE), in collaboration with i7-3630QM and an AMD Radeon HD M 7670.

The problem is, I'm not able to install the AMD display driver. When I try to install the software and drivers this problem appears: https://youtu.be/AOiPq8WVz_M

The first time that I was using Win 10. I did the update to win 10 about a month ago and everything was ok until 4 days ago. I was working with my laptop with an external screen connected by HDMI and all of a sudden the screen started to Flash some green lines with a black background (something like you can see in the video).

I saw on the internet that some people have problems making the update to wion10, I have installed new Windows 8 to see if has something related to win10 but the problem persists.

I tried to install the intel CPU, a graphics 4000HD Intel GPU, but may not use it as a main GPU. I had this problem: "this device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) »

  • Satellite L850 - display problems external 1080 p

I did turn my laptop Satellite L850 via HDMI to an external monitor without problem for many months.

A couple of weeks, I tried to update the catalyst driver and have had problems since.
Basically now when I select mode 1080 p via the Catalyst Control Panel, it makes the screen flash and present vertical lines.

Occasionally, it will work for a short time, even up to a full day and it will randomly start once again. I can play a game in 1080 p mode and it will be totally random, sometimes which allows me to play for hours without having the screen flashes black while the other times, it starts flashing constantly and the only way to fix it is to reboot or pull the HDMI cable and plug back and cross your fingers you have enough time to reopen the catalyst and change in 720 p which is always stable.

    I tried:

1 using the AMD catalyst removal tool and resettlement through the catalyst of origin Toshiba drivers factory default
    2. use to restore the system to go back before I made the changes
3 using the removal tool from AMD Catalyst and update to the latest version via the site Web of AMD.
4 reinstall my chipset with #1 drivers
5 tried another monitor (still happens)

On a side note, whenever I use the removal tool it removes my USB drivers too and I have to reinstall.

The current graphics driver is AMD Radeon HD 7670 M and I also tried the solution on here http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/item/781 tech support forum.

I ran out of options other than a full format and reinstall I want to avoid if possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

The AMD Catalyst (control software) update would not solve the issue.
You need to update the graphics driver too!
The graphics card driver can be uninstalled in Device Manager!

  • Satellite L850-1V5 AMD RADEON HD M 7670 - no display on external monitor

    Hello.

I'm having a strange problem with my Satellite L850-1V5 new with card in order to 7670M AMD RADEON HD.
(It runs windows 8 64-bit family)

At the beginning I couldn't open the CCC.
So I uninstalled the program and reinstalled the drivers I found here, on the Web at Toshiba Europe site.
    Now it works well.
But now I have another problem.

First, I tried to extend/duplicate(whatever, it does not really matter) my workstation via the VGA port.
In CTC, I could see that he acknowledged my external monitor model and even the mouse cursor has acted as the Office has been extended.

    BUT
    1. it has no image on the external monitor
    2. on the input of the external display Menu(:where one chooses the port to be used, i.e. VGA, HDMI, SCART, DVI etc etc) VGA port c o u l d NOT be selected, as if there were no cable on the external monitor

Then I tried an HDMI cable with the same result, with the difference that on the external screen menu entry the HDMI port c o u l d be selected, as if it were a cable on the external monitor, but the monitor says "no signal".

I tried the same steps via Windows Control Panel (menu Display).

    Same results...

I tried on 2 different external monitors (the two LG ones, even if we're about 3 years older than the other, so I guess he should have nothing to do with the monitor).

    Any ideas?
Is this a hardware problem, a software problem? Toshiba Service go?

    Hello

To my knowledge, use the keyboard shortcut to switch to an external monitor.
AFAIK the F4 (or Fn + F4) changes the output display.

  • Why Acrobat does change the parameters in the bookmarks and links on its own?

    Hello everyone ,

In the last weeks I met a problem that seems to be a bug.

I used the functions of many times before without encountering this problem.

The problem is: Acrobat seems to change my settings of bookmarks and links on its own.

    That's what I do:

A Word document is converted to pdf using Acrobat / save as pdf.

Then I open the document in Adobe Acrobat format and make some additional adjustments on how are treated bookmarks, and how pages are displayed.

For this, I use the menu: file / properties... where I in initial view choose to display bookmarks menu and an entire page.

Links: for each link, I have activelly chose page to link to and I have this than a whole page to be shown.

But something strange seems to happen to my favorite (and links). Even if I manually change each single bookmark properties (by right-clicking on the bookmark and then change properties), the Acrobat seems to change my settings in "Execute JavaScript", after which pages in my document do not appear as whole pages; Instead, the view is expanded. Often Adobe (and the reader, I tested both) show the zoomed pages so that they fit the frame of the window open.

What is the problem here? What I am doing wrong?

This would be a strange bug? Or is there a setting that I happened to change without knowing?

I have a similar problem with links. Even though I actively chose a particular magnification of the linked page, the program changes the settings on its own. Rather than show a whole page, Acrobat (and subsequently Reader) are suitable for the page on the frame.

What is the problem here? What can I do to ensure that my personal settings are retained?

Sorry for my English. I use the Swedish version of the program, so I am only guessing what are the different options are called in English.

  • Displays each result on its own page?

I create a blog based on a guestbook format.

Basically at the moment I have a page 'Add Post', that stores the details of the message in a database and then when you go to the index page, all posts, including the name of the author etc. are dumped into the order.

But I want it to be more like a blog, how do I do to display each individual entry on its own page. So, positions are listed on the home page, you click on the title and it will take you to a page with only this post?

And another question, how would I go on display five posts on the index rather than each page? And then being able to click on "older posts" link to see the previous five positions?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You create a new page of cfm, whose responsibility is only to display the post... lets call it display.cfm.

This page has the ID of the post... need an ID that is linked to the entry of the database (can be as a primary key in the table that you store messages).

All you have to do for this page to have the necessary info to display the message is to pass a parameter in the URL (called query string)... something like this \display.cfm?id=1

You get this ID... Select the post with this ID from the database and you're done.

On your home page, you must create the link to this page dynamically as the id will change for each entry.

If the display page is always the same, but the content changes according to the code passed to the query string.

With regard to the display of five post...

You can do it in the select database... or if you have a table of entries display you only the first 5

Then you have a link to the same page, perhaps with a different query string that displays all the...

If you have any other questions just ask.

    Kind regards.

  • Problems with the Satellite L850 display

I have a new new Satellite L850 running Windows 8. Lately, when I open the lid or press the power button when the laptop is in mode 'sleep', the screen is shifted to the right or has black lines through it. When I put the laptop back to sleep by pressing the power button, then press it again to wake up to the top of the screen corrects itself.

Any ideas on what is happening and how to fix it? All the drivers are up to date.

I think you're the first person who reported on this weird display behavior. Have you noticed that from the first moment on the first day of use?
Isn't the same case after hibernation?
This happens to every time or just occasionally?

  • Satellite L850 - 1 HR and Win7-cannot install Display Driver

    Hello

I reinstalled my laptop Toshiba Satellite L850 with old Windows 7. I installed all the necessary drivers. After you install the display driver in the device under display adapetrs Manager I see the message that the adapter is not working properly because the system cannot load the drivers.

On Win7, it has also installed SP1. I don't see why drivers are not loaded correctly. Does anyone have an idea on what could be the problem?

    Thanks, Mateja

    Hello

The Satellite L850 - 1 hr is equipped with a graphics chip from ATI Radeon HD 7670 M
I guess that the ATI driver is not installed correctly.

On the page of the driver Toshiba UE especially in Satellite L850 PSKG8E area, I couldn't find the Win 7 driver download.
But I checked the drivers available for all series of L850 and I found the AMD display drivers.

You should do this too. Choose the series of satellites L850 (short model No. Select all) in the driver download the form and you will get all the available drivers for Win 7 and Win 8
AMD display drivers should be included too.,.

  • Satellite L850 - 13 M - need more recent display driver

    Hello.

I have Toshiba Satellite L850 - 13M, but it runs with an old CCC. Where can I download the most recent? Because AMD automatic detection will not work.
And another problem: my laptop is very sensitive to LAN cables. Sometimes, he acknowledged that the cable is connected. It's a hardware problem or what?

    Thank you.

Computer laptop manufacturers offer drivers support and drivers the latest you can find on Toshiba support page. Proposed by Toshiba display drivers are slightly modified and tested to protect the equipment and mobile in general. If you compare the version on the page to download from Toshiba and graphics card manufacturer page, you'll notice that Toshiba has older version.
Unfortunately, this is typical for laptops.

All LAN cable, I can not say much, but I can't imagine that there is a problem with the laptop's LAN port.
Have you tested with different LAN cables?

  • Re: Question about the display driver for Satellite L850

So, I bought a Satellite L850 as twe weeks and I am yet to know which driver do I need.
I mean, it's better is one that comes with Windows Update or do I need to download it myself? I can watch videos and play games pretty decently while I don't mind so far.

    > I mean, it's better is one that comes with Windows Update or do I need to download it myself?

The Toshiba driver page driver is usually the right one. Updated the and designed for the use of the laptop.
But if don t have problems even while playing the game, don t change. You know: never change a system running ;)
