  Firstly the Toshiba Power Saver requires the installation of the common Module.
  The common Module for Win XP v1.00.05 can be downloaded from the European pilot page Toshiba.

  I currently have a Satellite Pro L300-155. At work, the WIFI signal is strong everywhere where I am in the building because we have 2 WIFI connections. However, I can connect okay in 1 room but if I just go in the other room, I'm unable to connect - and the connection is still strong. This also happens intermittently at home.

  I have a Toshiba Satelklite Pro L300 and had no problem for the last 4 years. Last Monday, I replaced my hard drive with a new one and after installing a new copy of Windows XP Pro, I have downloaded all the drivers on the official site. After my last update, I have updated the BIOS to version 1.30 to 1.50. After a few seconds my laptop has rebooted and was not able to load Windows and / or recognize my new hard drive.

  I tried several methods, using safe, optimal Bios default etc but was unsuccessful. IO could not even re - install Windows as the hard drive is not being recognized by the laptop. I've formatted the HD again through my desktop Pc, but still have the same problem.

  I am really worried and would like immediate help!

  What happen exactly when you turn on your laptop?

  Set the BIOS as deult and try to install the original recovery image that you got with your laptop. If everything works OK that means upgrading the disk HARD was a success and there is not a serious hardware problem.

  After this check, you can try again to install Windows XP Home edition.

• Satellite Pro L300-21F does not start and the screen remains blank

  L300-21F is aged 18 months, so out of warranty. When you press the power button, you can hear the fan and a "click" but the hard drive does not start and the screen remains blank. The power and the battery on the headlight LEDs, but the switch light does not work. I checked the power supply and it is 19.3V and substituted a good known. Removed the battery, tried with just the power cord and still nothing. Pressing ESC or F2 when you press the button power does not bring to the top of the screen of the bios or any other message.   My Vista Premium SP1 laptop is connected via a wireless connection to a modem/router ADSL Buffalo WBMR-G54 model that works very well. However, I tried the other day to connect the NIC via a RJ45 cable to the router and it won't work!
