Satellite Pro L300 will not start until after the update of the BIOS of 1.30 to 1.50

Dear all,

I have a Toshiba Satelklite Pro L300 and had no problem for the last 4 years. Last Monday, I replaced my hard drive with a new one and after installing a new copy of Windows XP Pro, I have downloaded all the drivers on the official site. After my last update, I have updated the BIOS to version 1.30 to 1.50. After a few seconds my laptop has rebooted and was not able to load Windows and / or recognize my new hard drive.

I tried several methods, using safe, optimal Bios default etc but was unsuccessful. IO could not even re - install Windows as the hard drive is not being recognized by the laptop. I've formatted the HD again through my desktop Pc, but still have the same problem.

I am really worried and would like immediate help!

Best regards

Engelbert

What happen exactly when you turn on your laptop?

Set the BIOS as deult and try to install the original recovery image that you got with your laptop. If everything works OK that means upgrading the disk HARD was a success and there is not a serious hardware problem.

After this check, you can try again to install Windows XP Home edition.
Please post comments.

  • Satellite Pro L300 will not start

I have a portable Satellite Pro L300 and he won't start (in other words the power button and not going not past the first screen).

Works for keyboard, but F2, F8 or F12 will not do anything, I can't here the disk hard powerup but it's like no one is at home. I don't know if it's the motherboard or the onboard battery. The computer is about 7-8 years

    Can anyone help.

It s certainly nothing wrong with a RTC battery (as you said internal battery).
The RTC battery can be charged. The unit must be turned on and adapter must be connected at least for about 18 hours.
But I guess that this isn't a problem.

The laptop does not start because of a hardware malfunction, but it's hard to say what role may be affected. But you should absolutely consult the RAM modules.
This should be the first step, since the RAM modules are easy to replace.

All other parts should be checked by the type of service.

  • Satellite Pro L300 will not start - cannot get into the BIOS

    Dear,

I got a satellite Pro L300, width a HARD drive partitioned, with Win XP installed C and D with Windows 7 installed, the problem is the following:

Days when I turned on my laptop, the OS splash screen appears, stop boot on Toshiba logo process.
In addition, I can't enter the BIOS with the F2 key or the Boot Manager by using the F12 key.

    Help, please.

    > stop boot on Toshiba logo process
This means that the laptop can not pass the POST (power on self test) properly and it would mean that a hardware problem has been detected on the motherboard.

Remove one of the modules RAM (check both) and try to turn on using a single module of RAM.
It is possible that one of the RAM modules is defective

It would also be possible that the motherboard is malfunctioning, as you can see, it is hard to say what role could be wrong, but what looks like a serious hardware failure

  • Satellite A210-199 does not start successfully after the BIOS update

    Hello

    I've got Sat A210-199.
Yesterday I updated the BIOS, and after that problems occurred:

While restarting my computer does not start. When I enter the BIOS after a while, it shuts down.
I guess all this because the temperature of the CPU:

    When I do nothing it is 77 C. I don't think it's normal: (.)
Computer is very recent, so it's probably not dust inside. And it's so hot from the start, but after the new BIOS, something bad happens.

Why this temp is so high?
There is no any process background or something.
    Is this normal?
And what about this new BIOS?

To be honest, something like this should not happen. I really don't understand why this is happening. I have updated the BIOS on friends A200 and mine P200 and everything works fine. Here on this forum we can only speculate on this issue, but what you need exactly's professional opinion.

This probably not help but install recovery image and check with the factory settings. Make sure you also on the lower side cooling fan is not blocked and the laptop can be cooled properly. If the problem persists, you should contact the nearest authorized maintainer and clarify this issue.

Sorry, but I don't really know what you can do in this situation. I don't see any other way to solve this problem.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite Pro L300 will not connect to Wifi after hibernation

    Hello

can someone there help me please?
I have a Satellite Pro L300 and it does not connect to Wifi after hibernation.

The only way to do it is to restart the pc.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello!

I m using a Satellite L300, which should be similar to yours and I peut t noticed this problem. WiFi works perfectly without any problems.

In any case, I would recommend updating the driver WLAN and the BIOS. The two you can find on the Toshiba site:

In addition, you run the factory settings or you have installed a different version of Windows?

  • My new Satellite Pro L300 will not work

I bought a new Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 on eBay. I connected all the cables according to the installation guide. At first he asked my details, then I logged in and it went to a pages where he says he was preparing. Then I was sent to the newspaper in the section, and the same page appeared saying that he was preparing.

After what happens about 5 times, he went to a black screen where the only thing I could see was my mouse cursor.

I closed and restarted, I tried to go into the settings using F12. I was not able to work at all, no matter what I do.
Unfortunately, I don't have a CD of the OS, but it was announced as having Vista as OS and have Microsoft Office Suite on him as a built-in wireless modem, so it was supposed to be ready just to turn it on. Well I can't even turn it on.

What should I do? How should I do?

At first, I must say that F12 has nothing to do with all the settings.
At this point, I recommend using the new operating system installation using the HDD recovery procedure.
How to proceed as a result of this document, you can find > http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

When the OS is installed and started up properly first thing you need to do is to create the disc of recovery facilities. "You can do it using preinstalled" Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator. The shortcut is placed on the desktop.

  • Satellite Pro A120 will not start

    Sorry for the bad English!

    My computer does not start.
I want to install a BIOS but plugging it into another computer, but I don t know how?

I think it s not a faulty BIOS, but I think that the virus on your laptop caused this problem.
The error message says it all:
+ Malware accesses the memory read +.
    + bios problems +.

If you are not able to boot up the laptop, or on the CD recovery, (XP, Linux) bootable CD or HARD drive, then it s a serious problem and you should certainly contact the ASP in your country.

If you are a lucky man then the ASP technician would be able to flash the BIOS ROM by using a special procedure and the laptop should work again.

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro L300 - may not always connect to the same strong connection router

I currently have a Satellite Pro L300-155. At work, the WIFI signal is strong everywhere where I am in the building because we have 2 WIFI connections. However, I can connect okay in 1 room but if I just go in the other room, I'm unable to connect - and the connection is still strong. This also happens intermittently at home.
Is it of diagnostics that I can run on the Toshiba to test wifi?

Where can I find what chip it is? Where is the wifi location - on a motherboard, etc?
Can it be replaced and where I could quote from?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi cooky44,

In my opinion, you should update the routers firmware and update your WLAN driver.

Furthermore, I have created an interesting document on improvements to WLAN connection:

  • Satellite Pro L500 will not start on battery only

    Hello!

I recently bought a Satellite Pro L500 and have the following problems.
My laptop does not start on battery only. The Green led comes on and stays with the laptop in a gel (nothing appears on the screen).
The only way to get this light off is to remove the battery.

Starts EVERY time with AC power connected (with or without battery)-normal lights are displayed when connected.
Works quite normal, once started - with or without power connected

SOMETIMES starts with the battery only if I boot in a short time after I've used the laptop
I tried the static release process but does not work. (hold button power supply without battery or power supply connected etc..)

After having this problem, I've updated to the latest version of the BIOS but nothing helped
Tried a different battery and did not help
    Is a Toshiba Satellite PRO L500 T4400 4GB 15 "laptop Win7 - only 3 weeks or so old

    Very annoying!
    Please anyone with a solution?

    Hello

    Try this.
Remove the battery, disconnect the adapter and then wait a while. I would like to leave it disconnected for about 12 hours.
Together the two parties again, charge the battery and then remove the power adapter.
Then try to turn on the unit using only the battery.

If that does not help, then you should get in touch with your ASP as fast as possible since the guarantee is valid and would cover all the checks of the equipment and replacements.

  • Want J010dx m7: windows will not start until after full recovery of the system with new HARD drive

    Hello world

    I need help here.

My HP envy m7 J010dx works perfectly with my original hard drive (1 TB).

I am preparing a second HDD (NEW 320) as backup.

I took off the Moose HDD (1 TB) and replace it with the NEW HARD drive (320GB) and try to do a full recovery of the system with the HP recovery DVD.

After full system recovery and laptop computer needs to be restarted in order to continue, the laptop keeps restarting on the logo of windows 8.

I think it says device not found Boot. Also a test using the UEFI tool material HP and all pass.

Replacing the NEW HARD drive with the original of the old HARD drive and it start normally.

What can go wrong here in this case? Thank you very much for the help.

    Concerning

    John

OK, I read through the thread and this is my point of view on this based on works including restore process with the user created a recovery (UCRDs) media which the user indicated that they used.

If you just want to jump to the conclusion at the bottom, you can see my opinion. If you want to know 'why' Please read the entire post.

    Model No.: m7-j010dx

    Product #: E0K83UA #ABA

    Ships OS: Windows 8 (64-bit)

Recovery HP part No. Kit: 730336-002 (3 DVDs + extra)

User replaced the HARD drive with a 1 TB hard drive 5400 RPM with HP ProtectSmart hard drive Protection a new hard drive is a Seagate Momentus 7200.4 ST9320423AS 320 GB 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache SATA 3.0 GB / s 2.5 "Notebook internal hard drive.

With the help of UCRDs sent media recovery media (SSRDs):

When the UCRDs are created, only the drivers for the HW operation (this is a critical point, that I will look later) are burned to the user created a recovery media.  Consider this a snapshot of the current HW, the base drivers and software applications.   If you change the HW on your laptop or desktop where the additional device requires a different driver for these features, a few questions you might - recovery process could stop because he can't find the right driver, a blue screen, a lack of start-up or other unstable system.

A few years ago, I had a PC that would not recover because the Blu - ray (ODD) optical disk drive did not work.  I replaced the WEIRD Blu - ray with a generic DVD/CD burner into the new part of Blu - ray is presented.   I got the PC using SSRDs thinking I would put some time and just install the Blu - ray after the PC has been recovered.   The PC recovered and when the new Blu - ray showed I installed the unit and guess what?  All PCs have shown in Device Manager and applications was a generic ODD - no Blu - ray capability and ability to read Blu - ray content in the default HP provided for multimedia applications delivered with the PC.  Applications were there but no Blu - ray capability.

Huh?  It looks that I did not put any time at all.

I inserted the new Blu - ray ODD and distributed recovery with the HP SSRDs.

After recovery, I had all the Blu - ray drivers and applications supported Blu - ray.

The difference between UCRDs and SSRDs:

UCRDs provide a glimpse of what is installed and functional both disks are created.

Version Digest of the player on what is happening with SSRDs to retrieve a PC (before Windows 10):

SSRDs have all the drivers for all the HW and SW qualified for the unit.  There may be several drivers for hard drives, different types/screen resolutions, sides, etc.  Based on the characteristics of the specific laptop / desktop a process is run called "Do / don't.   After entering the recovery SDRD, the Notebook media boots to Recovery Manager.  The first step is a raw copy of all the contents of the disc on a temporary partition.  Following the Do / do not process looks at the characteristics of this specific unit and remove all other drivers and applications not used by this device.  Drivers and the only successful applications are the features supported.   And then, the new operating system and recovery partition is created.   The PC end recovery of cleaning process and restart the laptop / desktop. And, Yes, you guessed it, if you create the user created a recovery media, you only have the drivers for HW devices and applications of HP on the PC at the time.

So, that being said, what could be the cause/solution?

Hard drives can be different enough so that a different driver (not the UCRDs) is necessary for the newly installed HW.

The SSRDs are supported on the new HARD drive installed?

I don't know, I have an office boy, and I have not tried on this model of laptop.

If you have / acquire SSRDs, I recover the laptop with the new installed HARD drive and see if it works.  It may or may not.  I don't know what drives were qualified for this laptop.

If this does not work, the last option is cloning via USB connection (old HARD drive in the PC, new HARD drive connected to a USB 3 via the SATA Adapter (dongle) USB port, install or download software cloning and cloning the old HDD to the new.)   I just did this on the two older Windows 7 computers laptops using a SanDisk Ultra kit.  He has worked on both units.

    Conclusion:

I don't think that the problem is caused from a HARD drive of 1 to a 320 GB HARD drive, as it meets the minimum specs for a complete installation.  I think the problem is related to the use of UCRDs to retrieve and the UCRDs do not have the HARD driver/firmware/application disc.

    But then again, I know.

I am an employee of HP...

  • Satellite Pro L10 will not start the system

    Hello!

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L10, which won't work for some reason any.

The last time that I used it, it worked perfectly fine, but now all I get is a black filtered message on "windows starts do not successfully»

It indicates that the computer is not responding and asked me to choose one of the five options - safe mode, safe mode with network, security mode command, last known configuration, prompt or start windows normally.

There is also a 30 second countdown if I do nothing the portable samekh automatically.
It is, none of these things work.

Everything that happens with any option is to a thought very much time on things, then it goes to a black screen with a time/processing bar downstairs, then when that ends it turns itself off, samekh, mw windows page shows (with f2 and f4/f10? options) and the process is repeated.

He did about 50 times now and still nothing.
I tried the command ctrl/alt/del, I tried to turn if off and try again, I even opened the f options but I don't know enough about computers to do more.

    Help, please!

If possible I would like to get the computer on long enough to verify what documents I have on this subject before I can back up (if necessary) and restore it to the factory settings (as I predicted), or if this is not possible, I do not think that there is a lot to lose in this respect in any case, am prepared to take it all back to factory if necessary. I have all necessary installation CD and manuals to go with.

hope this makes sense and I gave you all you need to know.

    Thanks, B

It seems that the laptop is not able to boot the system, but I m not quite sure if it s because of the defective system or HARD drive corruption.
If it s just a system problem, the installation of the new Windows operating system should help you to get it resolved.

In case the HARD disk is defective, you need to replace the HARD drive and reinstall the system.
