read aloud problem

using strong read out, he reads the foot at the bottom of every page that is the author of title and so on, is it possible to have pass it. It is really hard to follow sentences when it happening right in the middle. any help would be appreciated

Hititanstear,

The only way is to add the tags using Acrobat application in the PDF help Acrobat | Change the structure of a document with content panels and tags (Acrobat Pro) subtract to read the header or footer. Otherwise, you will need to select the text on each page so that it only reads the selected text.

Kind regards

  • Problems with reading aloud; It is not more than 1 page

    Hi-

In the old days, Adobe Acrobat Reader to be able to read whole books aloud.  I've got Windows 8.1 on a laptop cheap (meaning not a lot of memory), and even when I select 'read aloud' and then 'read the document will end' it stops at the end of the page. I tried to highlight a selection of several pages, and it will not always cross the line of the page.  It is pretty useless, if I press my computer every 2 minutes to go to the next page and press 'read out loud '.  Any ideas?

PS I think it is reprehensible that in 2016, 26 years after the ADA, ADE still is not having a read aloud feature, or even just a supplement to convert into a non-savable format that can be read by the reader.  Adobe voice is much better than some other readers and made better with the odd punctuation, which is part of the reason why it should be made accessible.

While they have not been marked for accessibility? Are you on Windows?

You could try to recreate one using this method to see if she takes care of the problem:

    • Open a Word doc
    • Click on the Acrobat Ribbon
    • Click Preferences > general and make sure that enable accessibility and reflow with tagged Adobe PDF is enabled.
    • Click the create a PDF file

Test the new PDF. There are several ways to create PDFs but PDFMaker (which adds the Ribbon Acrobat for Windows) is the preferred method and provides more control over the conversion.

You can learn more about the preparation of files to meet the requirements of the ADA here:

We had the opportunity to create documents conform to 508 since Acrobat for years, but my observation is that most of my students have no idea how prepare files to satisfy, before coming to class.

  • Is anyone able to run Adobe CS5 with El Capitan now? I've read about problems with Illustrator and photoshop, but these seem to be in 2015 Octobe5. She improved at all? I need to upgrade that I am running an old OS v but I need to run CS5.

I've read about problems with Illustrator and photoshop on EL Capitan, but these seem to be in October 2015. She improved at all? I need to upgrade that I am running an old OS v but I need to run CS5. Can not afford to go to CC. I have a Macbook Pro.

CS5 and 10.11 are not supported and will never be supported by Adobe or Apple.

However it works for some, more actually, but not all. There are sporadic problems with Illustrator, Photoshop seems to be the best. Do not expect an improvement and keep in mind that anyone from Adobe, Apple or anywhere else will fix it.

    Do a clean install

Make sure you have the Apple Java

    h ttps://support.Apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=en_US

Make sure you have your serial number and if you are having problems with the serial number or the serialization however adobe of web server will not support your problem.

    update the application via photoshop.

  • Adobe Reader can read aloud in French/other languages?

Hello - I'm trying to figure out if Adobe Reader can read other languages aloud. If possible, should be activated via Adobe Acrobat Professional? or?

    Hi Nazely,

If you have Acrobat (not just the free reader) you can set the language of the document under file > properties > Advanced tab under the drop down language menu.

You can use the 'Read aloud' function directly from your Adobe Reader software.

    • Open a PDF file in Adobe Reader.
    • Go to the view menu & go to 'Read aloud' & choose ' activate Read out Lout. "

    • When you have enabled 'Read aloud' gain access the view menu & go to 'Read aloud' the choice between the desired option "Read this page only" or "read at the end of the Document.

Let me know if you experience any issue or questions.

    Kind regards

  • read aloud on Adobe Digital Edition - where is it?

    Supposed to be included...

No, ADE is essentially a "broker." It communicates with the server that hosts the purchased digital content. ADE indicates to the server that, ' Hey - this user really has paid for the content then send it down.»

ADE facilitates the transfer of content from the server to the ultimate destination - the document (ebook in general reader) reader.

All official communications is necessary because the digital content is in a protective packaging of Digital Rights Management (DRM) to ensure the protection of the property rights of the content owners.

Now, once digital content is in place on the eBook reader the ability to do speech synthesis may or may not be there.

The eBook device must support the it with the hardware and software.

    DRM digital content must enable.

    Etc, etc.

But, in any case - it's all the stuff to talk to the user forum ADE that this forum is for Adobe Reader and Adobe Reader provided read aloud any PDF that has text renderable (not the image/text image provided by a scanner and not "contours" of fonts).

The forum of ADE is to:

    Adobe Digital Editions

  • CP6 - need to add an audio button on quiz slides to "read aloud the question."

CP6 - need to add an audio button on quiz slides to "read aloud the question." Most of our target audience is younger (grade 1-5) and provide more accurate results, if each question is 'read' for them. Of course there are big players in the Pack, but the option should be available to listen to the question and not have to read it. Therefore, there is a button to trigger the audio on every issue. Ideas?

You don't need a button. Just add a legend of the question bearing slides a sound add you the portion of the legend. You can hide the legend by making it transparent.

Also read aloud mode is checked under view in the Menu and I started it at the beginning of the document. I also checked my audio on my computer and everything is ok. Hmmm.? Can someone help me?

Thanks to a contributor whose Id I have now lost but has the answer! It's go to preferences under display in the Menu and click general. Then uncheck Protected Mode. close the reader and re open and it worked. The voice is so much nicer than the old Adobe Reader software. Thanks to the contributors of the Forum.

  • conflict between Reader and Acrobat, read aloud

I installed Reader 9 on a pc. Read aloud worked well. Then install Acrobat test. Now ROL in does not. Try to read the text, it produces sounds without meaning, as if the software became Dyslexic.  Any ideas?

    Thank you

Installation of Reader and Acrobat is not recommended. If I were you, I remove all traces of both and reinstall the one I want to keep.

  • Things are "read" aloud with the update - as' Firefox new window '. How can I stop this?

With the latest version of Firefox and the previous beta version (3.6, I think), my MacBook is 'read' all that aloud--for example, when I go to my favorites, if I go to "shopping", I mean "shopping, submenu." If I then highlight Amazon, I heard "Amazon" and so on. And he is always saying "Firefox is a new window" when I go to a different tab. Given than ever, this happened before the last beta of Firefox and continues with Firefox 4 and since I could not stop via system preferences, I guess it has something to do with the Firefox browser.
