Reader prints black stripes

I have exactly the same problem as described in that acrobat Reader DC print scratches after upgrade to Windows 10 anniversary update but with the Version Adobe Reader X 10.1.16.

The registry workaround solution proposed in the above link does not work for Adobe Reader X (10 64-bit Windows).

Is there no solution registry workaround also to Adobe Reader X (Version 10.1.16).

Any help will be very appreciated!

Kind regards

Itzik

I am using Acrobat Reader DC with Windows 10 anniversary and started having problems printing saved pdf files (get black lines "BOLD").  I didn't have a problem printing pdf from the seller that I used, just print out another copy once I had recorded the file.

Finally found a solution.

After you click on print, go to properties, then advanced.  (Do not forget and do not use the Advanced tab of the print screen).  According to the characteristics of the printer, disable printing in grayscale.

Click OK two times.  Now, use the Advanced tab, under color management I chose to let the printer to choose color.

This cured my problem.  I hope this helps someone else.  I didn't get into my registry.

  • My Officejet 4620 do not print black ink

I replaced the black cartridge on my Officejet 4620 with a new high-capacity HP cartridge and it won't print black ink on the test page, any application or function of Copier.  I have reset the printer nothing helps.  The ink level indicates that it recognizes the new cartridge and says it's full.  Black ink out of the cartridge when I put my finger against the exit hole.  I cleaned and aligned the print heads, but still no go.

just in case someone else has this problem, heres whats really past and heres how to fix this annoying problem. its relatively easy to do and more efficient than wasting money on a new printer or have that he repaired as most people eventually do.

going on what? the ink has clogged print heads and solidifies closed. the function of "clean print heads" the printer comes with doesn't have the ability to solve this problem. This feature is to clean the heads Sales, not clogged heads. Why hp decided to make this model without a simple to remove the cradle is beyond me, but fortunately the cradle out and can be cleaned with hot water.

theres a few items, you will need to get there easily, or you could just burst the branch loppers, like I did and vent your frustrations.

you will need: a pair of slender beak pliers, a screwdriver torx T9 (selling auto parts stores them for a few dollars), paper towels and a space for work (its easier to do this in a corner of a room, on a small table or floor).  Keep in mind that you are dealing with ink, then change your clothes right just in case and also catch a paper plate or a few sheets of paper to print to set ink cartridges while you work.

    (1) ok. lets start. !!! FIRST UNPLUG THE PRINTER RIGHT NOW, IF YOU DO NOT ACCIDENTALLY DIE BY ELECTROCUTION!  I forgot and when I started unscrewing the first 6 screws, kept chime jump and im like * beep *? I was impressed by the security measures hp took as model engineering.

    (2) the printer is now disconnected and then go to your corner your work surface and place the printer, so there is a wall or a barrier on the left, and also, a wall or a fence behind it. This just in front of her as if you were about to use it.

    (3) now, what you have to do, is to open the printer as you will change the ink and on the right side, there is a plastic guide that prevents opening all the way to the top. Look on the side and you'll notice that he could jump off with fingers. pop off and open it completely open, so you can get to the screws of the cover you would have prevented access to.

    (4) press the scanner part and the upper part against the back wall.

    (5) all the screws you will be remove are the size T9H torx screws. There are ten total. There are 2 black screws in the top of the forehead and then 4 black screws in the top of the back. Remove them and put them on your paper plate.

    (6) following is 1 screw silver short located under the Control Panel, use your finger and feel under the * button. Unscrew, place it on the paper plate.

    (7) depending on whether you want to remove the face/Control Panel to get in the last 3 screws so locate the illustrations on the top of the printer, there are 2 on the lower left and 5 at the bottom right (1 and 2 on the left explain removals of paper jam and 1-5 on the right then explain change in ink cartridges). then about half an inch South of the illustration of the number 5 on the lip, is a plastic stand. six inches to the left is an another then 6 inches to the left, under the number of the illustration 2 (remove the paper jam) is a third support. Unscrew using your nails. Flip it up just like the hood of the car, and eten on the main top of the printer, keep the flat wire which is connected to the frame of the control panel (if the flat wire jumped because you got too loud, then simply insert it in when you go back).

    (8) then unscrew the 3 long silver screws that are located under the Panel you just popped off the coast. There is 1 on the left and 2 on the side rightish. mix 'em on the paper plate.

    (9) now that all the screws are removed, take the Panel front and partially pop it back together.

    (10) then take all over (the part with the small illustrations and lift like a hood of car, ONLY THIS TIME OPEN IT LEFT and he balanced on the edge of the printer, to lean over towards the wall or an obstacle on your left.) MAKE SURE NOT TO PULL ON THE STRIP OF COLORFUL SON FRUITS LEFT AND ALSO THE FLAT BLACK WIRE CONNECTING PART SCANNING FOR THE MAIN OF THE PRINTER PART.

    (11) then take the pliers to tapered spout and remove the 2 silver tension springs located behind the printer cartridges. Pay attention to where they were attached so you remember where they go during the Assembly. take a picture with your phone if you have to, or simply re - understand it like I did. mix 'em on the paper plate.

    (12) then disconnect the 2 large flat wire and 1 small flatwire attached to the back of the ink cart. take a picture or can remember like I did. I guess bad things can happen if you reverse the on re-Assembly. Pick up the phone and take a picture of quik to be sure.

    (13) now remove the cart ink, cartridges and all, by lifting the front first.  Be careful of the transparent tape little there that moves the carriage from left to right and vice versa. you don't want to damage this little guy. now take the transport to your paper plate. not some ink or accidentally get it on your fingers without knowing or will make a mess.

    (14) remove the ink cartridges and put them on the paper plate, side ink to avoid a mess, these things sometimes drip. put the plate side. its time to clean the print heads.

    (15) then go to the sink, to the distribution of empty ink and turn on the hot water and then let the transport of empty ink sitting there with the water mainly through the clogged color screen (inspect and make you is not a small rubber seal surrounding the small screen, if there is do not waste it. I didn't look too closely and I don't think that hp has them but I have a few other printers). It will stain the sink but water ink he comes out to be sure. notice there is also a small circuit attached to it. don't bang it upward but getting wet does not matter.

    (16) continue to do this until the water is clear.

    (17) then use your finger and rub the screen gently with your finger and then rinse it, taking ink until the water is clear. This continues until there is no more ink and screens are clean. do it for all the colors just for good measures. the color of problem that would not print, you'll notice takes longer to clean than the other colors.

    (18) now look on the lower side of the transport. these strange looking things are the leaders. Rinse in hot water and dry them with paper towels. then flip it over and the breath on the side of the screen again. also between the screenside and heads (on the side of the transport) is an opening which is also probably gunked up. It blows with water too. Then, turn it over and wipe the head again. Repeat this step until no fades or until you are sick and tired.

    (19) shake, then use paper towels to dry the entire unit. Make sure that the device is dry.  especially inside the female plugs. blow inside or out dry hair and dry gently. do not stand there and melt the but with the blow dryer. but the sooner it dries less your ink cartridges, sitting on the paper plate will dry out. the custom of the ink dry quickly just do not take a NAP or go on a date until you're back with part of the ink.

    (20) now you have finished cleaning the heads and probably don't need to do it again for the length of time, it was because you bought the printer. and just as a roadtrip you used a map to navigate, you will use these instructions in reverse for reassembly. but keep in mind when re - insert the 3 flatwires that you disconnected from the back of the ink cart, make sure you that have small metal contact on the flatwires points (side male) inserted so they affect small metal contact points on the caps of transport (feminine) side. ALSO BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE BLACK FLATWIRE CONNECTING THE SCANNER PART PART HAND PRINTER. THERE IS A SMALL GROOVE IN THE PLASTIC WHERE IT CAN SIT TO GUARANTEE NO CRIMPAGE. USE IT. also make sure that the 2 hinges to the scanner portion/cover are placed correctly before the fixing of the top with the 6 black screws.

now raise the printer and reinstall the ink cartridges. then plug in the appliance and turn it on.  If you get notifications on the control panel telling the custom of transport move, then open the trunk and remove the ink cartridges, hustles and ensure that transport is installed and that the tensioner springs are in place correctly. Repeat the operation if necessary until notifications go away or just do a test print and do not take into account the notification if you messed with it a few times already. That's what happened to me and the notification went his own. Once its online, open the hp utility and press the button "clean the heads. do 2 x in a row and you will be in style, with colors extremely rich and "BOLD" and Yes, printed black raven.

    p. s.

You can always take your aggression out with tree limb loppers or Tin shears like I did and cut the plastic Center keeps you to transport directly outside. Completely eliminates the disassembly and reassembly. Make sure you DO NOT CUT THE TRANSPARENT TAPE THAT MOVES BACK AND FORTH TRANSPORT. This way the next time it happens it takes you only 10 minutes before you are upward and printing.

  • HP6520 ALL IN ONE PRINTER: BLACK INK WILL NOT PRINT

I TRIED ALL THE PROPOSED SOLUTIONS.  NO WORK FOR ME.  I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO RUN THE CLEAN CARTRIDGE HEADS.  SAME RESULT (WASTED A LOT OF VERY EXPENSIVE INK IN THE PROCESS).  ANOTHER USER HAS SUGGESTED TO USE SOLVENT TO CLEAN A CLOGGED INKJET PORT.  I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE REPRESENTATIVE HP APPROVED THAT.  THE PAGE OF DIAGNOSIS THAT PRINTS AFTER HAVING CARRIED OUT THE SYSTEMATIC CLEANING HEAD PRINT BLACK TEXT, BUT THE BOX FOR BLACK PRINTING IS TOTALLY WHITE.  IS THERE ANOTHER SOLUTION TO TRY?  Help!

The printhead on the HP Photosmart 6520 is not designed to be removable by the user.  While you can find messages with information on the withdrawal of the printhead for soaking, it's really not recommended.  If you decide to do this don't forget to read the entire thread, these discussions often end with a printer damaged due to damage or damage to the encoder system, electrical connectors which can make the printer unusable.

You may have already taken the steps of troubleshooting in the paper here, if not go through each of them in order.  Check the vents on the black print cartridge and that it sits correctly.

If the above does not solve the problem you could try manually to clean the printhead, as described in the post here for a different but similar printer.

Note that the printer uses a mixture of color and black inks to print a diagnostic page.  This is so that the information can be read even if black or one or more colors do not work.  Although it may seem from this page your black works that is unfortunately not.  You can simulate this by selecting "Photo paper", as the media type in the driver, it would force the printer to use the same color ink to print black text.

  • Photosmart Premium 309 a won't print black

My Photosmart Premium 309 a printer will not print black text. Just imagined colors.

I tried new cartridges (twice - at great expense!) head cleaning, cleaning deep head, aligning the head and tried to soak the printhead in hot water several times now and then cleaning and deep cleaning again and then yet another new series of cartridges, still no black - not a pinch!

Would it be a mistake to electrical connection with the contacts? Or is the print head itself a goner - seems such a simple plastic device, ok electronics in contacts can be more complex, but not much to go wrong.

I don't think I have done something to damage the print head when the occurreed first problem, but with all the plug and put back and soaking in hot water (let dry naturally) I can't guarantee that it is not damaged because, although I was careful and everything seems ok.

I am also puzzled as to where ink is going on because the black cartridges I used trying to solve this problem have certainly been empty but the ink is not reaching the paper - looks like the blooming thing could swim ink now but it seems pretty clean!

    Any advice welcome.

    Hi @StuartG48UK,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I read your post and see that the black is not printing. I want to help you.

  • Why my PhotoSmart 7520 uses color to print black text?

I noticed when I print the page "Print diagnostic quality", the printer uses the color cartridges to print text in black instead of the black cartridge "pure".  It is a loss of the color of the inks.  How can I get the printer (7520) to use the black cartridge for all black text?

    Thank you

    JayTee007

The diagnosis page uses a mixture of color and black inks to print the text on the page.  This is so that the diagnostic information can be read, even if the black part does not work.  The behavior on the page of diagnosis does not reflect how normal text is printed.

Note that if the photo paper is selected in the selection of media the printer will use only the color inks and photo to print black same text as black pigmented ink is not compatible with photo paper.

  • My Officejet 6500 E709 all in one will not print black.

My HP Officejet 6500 E709n all-in-one will not print black.   All other colors work very well.  Have you tried what follows - new black cartridge installed, ran the print heads clean utility, made sure the wind was compatible black ink cartridge, turned printer off and restarted.  Print tests still not print black - other colors and images to print, but not text black or shades of black in images.  Any suggestions on how to fix or what needs to be repaired?  Thank you.

Hi jim: I just had the same problem a few minutes ago. After having gone through all the troubleshooting steps, I realized it was all just a bad cartridge. The PIN on the printer heads were not reading the new cartridge, so nothing in black print could be printed. I installed a new black cartridge and I could resume my printing projects. I then contacted the HP store directly to report the faulty cartridge while they could send me a new, that I won't be out of pocket for a cartridge I bought directly from them.

Hope this helps you with your problem.

  • OfficeJet 4620 - will be not printed black - HELP!

I have an Officejet 4620 and the printer doesn't print black ink.  Other colors print fine.  After spending $ 65, I've replaced the ink cartridges, and it would not print!

I found the link to ""printer prints a blank Page or print no black or color ink for HP Officejet 4610, 4620, Deskjet Ink Advantage 4610 and 4620 e - all-in - One Printer Series " and followed all the instructions, TWICE, if not three times! "

I also cleaned the printhead several times, two rounds each, and again, it will not be printed.  What to do is print the calibration reports that continue to eat my ink!   Printing reports colored pieces, but nothing in BLACK!

This seems to be a very common problem with these printers because I have read several forums that describes the same thing, and HP does not seem a good solution or offer of difficulty or the problem.  I noticed most positions with this question end up making a private offline message.

Before I wonder, the printer is no longer under warranty and I live in the United States.  PLEASE HELP ME!

  • Photosmart B110 does not print black

    Hello world

I have a B110 phosmart for 3 years and it has worked perfectly until last week.

All of a sudden, the black ink is not printed correctly, in other words, there were white lines in the text printed, so I thought I should replace the cartridge, and so I did. However, even with the new cartrdige, the problem persisted.

I cleaned manally head of black ink, but it did not work. I have also run the utility several times to clean the print heads, but I did get no result.

If initially, I got only the problem of the white lines in the black printed text, after several cleaning cartridge in the printer utility menu, I did get no black print at all.

So I thought that the problem had to do with the set of printheads slot, so I replaced it.

But, unfortunately, after having changed the entire site of printheads, I can't always print in black.

I normally got the other characters of colour, but not black.

    What could be the reason?

Please note that I already read all the pages on the standard resolution (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02046460).

    Thank you for your help,

    Bruno

Solved! I am even more convinced of obsolescence are scheduled for my printer.

I solved my problem and you know how?

I have "dupe" of my printer.

The print heads are in good condition (I bought new print heads) and I had already perfectly cleaned up the chip in the printer. So why not print?

Whenever I changed the entire site of printheads, printer makes a procedure of 'mysterious' duration of 4 minutes.

After changing several times the new and the old sites of print head, printer has started printing black ink, again initially lightly, then normally.

So, what happened? As I said the printer was quite in the right order, the inks were original and I had followed any other procedure.

  • Premium Photosmart CN503AA: Photosmart Premium C310a is no longer prints black

My Photosmart Premium C310a printer print is darker.  The following information may be useful:

    • Product number: CN503A, model number C310a
    • Two PC printer: we're a Windows 8.1 operating system (64-bit) and the other is a Windows 7

So far, I conducted the following remediation efforts:

    • Replace the ink cartridge
    • Used HP support assistance to try to clean the printer and align the printer.  Alignment failed.
    • Replace the print head with a refurbished HP printhead.  (This also includes cleaning the area specified in the replacement instructions).
    • The printer still does not print in black.
    • Tried to align the print head.  He failed.

Any suggestions?  The printer is no longer guaranteed.

    Thank you!

    Hi there @Scott1453

    I hope you are well!

I read on how your Photosmart C310a is no longer printing black, and you've tried several unsuccessful troubleshooting steps.

My suggestion for you would be to try a print head soak. See this post for instructions. Please follow them with caution: Re of Solution accepted: black ink does not

    Hello

I have the same problem as many others: my printer has stopped printing black.  The colors are ok, and I tried to what is suggested in the paper, ink levels check and evacuate on the cartridge, by running the print head clean program. Nothing has changed, no black printing or copying.

Yhe warranty has expired.  Is there something I can do?

Hello! Welcome to the @lauf forums.

I read on the way to your your Photosmart 5515 is more printing in black ink. My suggestion to you, would be to read similar here to my colleague @HevnLgh on another post, and I would say following the same process that she mentions in this post: Re: light printing ink black

  • Vista OfficeJet 6110 do not print black cartridge only (I always get color)

I can't get my Vista with OfficeJet 6110 to print black cartridge only, that is, I always get COLORS in my impression.

NOTE: I have the BLUE text in my .odt file and I want to print with just the black cartridge but alaways get BLUE to the exit...

I hope Bob Headrick reads this...

What printer driver settings that you use?    I can't install the Officejet 6110 driver, but I tried the following with the Deskjet 6500 driver: in the tab 'Printing shortcuts' select ' Fast/economical printing' in the 'what do you do?"tab.  IN the "Choice of colors" drop-down list select low "on Black Print Cartrdige Only", then apply. For good measure, go to the Advanced tab and enable "text just like Print black" in the tab "Printer features", then apply, OK.

A similar procedure should give good results with the Officejet 6110.  If this isn't the case, you could install the Deskjet 6500 driver by going to add printer, select local printer, select the USB port the 6110 is on and then select the driver HP Deskjet 6500 Series.  You might have the DEskjet 6500 and Officejet 6110 drivers installed at the same time, they should not come into conflict.

I have recently replaced my black cartridge and the printer will not print black.  I called tech support and they could not help, at least I bought a warranty - which would cost more than a new printer.   I have restarted the printer, pulled the wagon and cleaned and re-installed all printer cartridges.   Don't know what to do next.

  • HP C309a: HP C309A will be not printed black, don't align

I've seen a couple of posts similar to the problem I have.  For me the problem came suddenly.  Yesterday the printer has not worked, today no black print.  I replaced the black cartridge, even though the indicator says it was always half full.  The replacement was a new HP cartridge.  The display acknowledged the new cartridge with the screen of "genuine hp.  Still not printing black ink.  I pulled the cartridges and clean the print head, reinstalled the cartridges and tried to print.  Now, I had an alignment error screen.  I tried the hot water bath, let dry for an hour (while the cartridges were placed and sealed in a ziplock bag) and then reinstalled the print head and cartridges.  Still have the alignment error and still no black printing.  I unplugged the printer into the wall, and then repluged into it, while holding down the key "#" and press '6' on the printer keypad.  He ran the steps wondering what language and invites me to load all paper trays, then tried an alignment.  I still have the alignment error, and it would not print in black.  I retried this so many times my XL Black cartridge now read a little more half full.  Then I tried the warm water through the printhead until water in clear weather.  I double checked it by soaking in the bath hot check clear water came from the print head.  I'm dry now, but I'm not optimistic that this will be remedied what whatsoever.  Is there anything ELSE I can try?

Thank you for responding.  The third bathroom, combination of flushing seemed to work.  I managed to do print in black.

    Rohit Nagpal: thank you.

The printer is HP Deskjet 2050 J501.

I changed from 81/2 X 11 to 4 x 6 photos - the first digital photo (B & W) was normal (all black). The second printing has been described, first black inches, then orange rest. I adjusted the printer to 81/2 x 11, the first impression has been described. I asked for assistance.

I read your message and proceeded to print a test B & W 8 x 11 page. It was OK! The second test page is OK too.

I don't know what I did to solve the problem, except that the computer was shut down for two days. Thank you again for your help.           George Hutson
