Reading and updating of MS Active Directory (AD) by Oracle APEX

Hi all

Anyone who has ever read and update components using Oracle APEX AD?
I know we have accumulation APEX in the LDAP authentication, but this is for authentication, what reading other attributes such as phone number, Department, office etc. of MS AD; and updated about the same information.

Oracle Identity Management is the only solution
Windows Server 2008 R2 provide SOAP based web services (ADWS), AD has anyone who used with APEX (11g R2 with setting up EPG)?
Is it possible to have a c# code (thanks to an outpatient procedure) who could read and write MS AD; can we only use the 'C' code in oracle as external proc or c# as well?

Pointers would be a great help.

Thank you
Ash

Hello Ash,

APEX LDAP API is a simplification for the DBMS_LDAP API provided by your database. You can use this API in APEX as well. This API is documented here:
http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E14571_01/OID.1111/e10186/dbmsldap_ref.htm#OIMAD009
Among many other examples that you find in this forum, you can look in the following thread for an example of extracting any LDAP (including AD) attributes: {message identifier: = 8399529}

  • Update of the Active directory through IOM domain

    Hi all

I have configured AD with IOM. The user is getting stocked with AD.

But if I make a few changes in the profile of the user as city, post office address, country, they do not think in Active Directory.

On the other hand, if I change my name, name, username, then these fields are translated into Active Directory.

    Why it's happening?

Can someone please explain this to me? And how do I get my first requirement either update the city of e-mail, zip, country, etc..

Thank you very much in advance!

    Process triggers
A quick definition of two variants of the process triggers, it should be noted that triggers run only a process task, that they do not have anything else, if you want forms or resources to be updated it is the function of the adapter to process task.

    User profile triggers
These starting from changes in the user profile. The 'Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS' table defines the fields in the user profile have triggers and which deal with the tasks they will undertake.

    Form triggers
These from service users changes to a form of process associated with a resource. Triggered tasks are defined by name only and should be named after the form field that you want to that they apply, with the suffix 'Updated' for example 'city updated '.

Please note that the data on a form of resource process will not change by changing the user profile only, usually the task named as the trigger of profile task can be used to change the value of process. If you change the shape of course, in this way, then the task of form subsequently trigger, and you can make a change to the resource of the change in the form.

To get a user based profile trigger to work just to extend the table of Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS and create the task you name in this table in a process of resource definition. Even if the task doesn't a change in the user profile will trigger the process task corresponding to the resource for this user.

  • Replication of ACS and integration with the Active directory database

    Hi all

I have to configure two ACS SE with the internal database replication. I have also a server active directory that must integrate with ACS. My doubt is that I need to configure the IP address of the ACS during installation of the remote agent on active directory or only the primary ACS

No need to give the IP of two ACS. Give the primary IP of ACS.

    Kind regards

  • Configure Active Directory and form WLS and human task

    Hi guys,.

We use SOA Suite 11.1.6 for the current project and want to configure Active Directory as an identity provider. I know this is not a new issue and has made several researches on the forum and online, but do not meet all of our questions. Currently, in the field of security WL, we see users and groups in the AD. But there are questions still pending:

1 authentication with users of the AD
We can not yet to configure user connection WLS AD.

    2. e-mail users
The AD user does not appear in the search for email in jdeveloper. Currently, there are only two users returned: weblogic and oraclesystemuser. I think they're the default users.

    3 WorkList Application (human task)
It is similar to the #1, but not all. We like to configure AD users to log on to the application of the task list.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi Steven
    1. what you want is possible, BUT you can have your users only in a security provider. To access/bpm workspace, all users will be designated in the first highest security provider of the page. So make sure, your AD authenticator is the highest and also all of these providers must be defined on ENOUGH / OPTIONAL.

Below, these 2 positions should give more details:
WebLogic administrator account is inactive after activating the authenticator DB

  • Oracle Forms and Microsoft Active Directory

    Application server = 10.1.2.2.0
    Database server = 10.2.0.3.0

We have a connection to a database (for example abcd/abcd@abcd). The login is in the formsweb.cfg file.

Users click a URL that opens the first form (10g), where they must enter their username and password. The "When-new-form-Instance" trigger will use the data entered to check the username and password is correct on a users Table. It will also recover the level of security for members of the staff.

If authentication fails, a message in a form and they can not go further.

If authentication is successful then the first form of the system is displayed. The level of security is used to decide what forms/States are available for this user and the data that is displayed. The user ID is used throughout the system to save the changes made by the user.

We went to Microsoft Active Directory and I have a requirement to allow a user to simply click on a link and the application opens with the data and access. I also need the user ID in the application.

Is it possible to either from the Microsoft Active Directory for the Oracle Forms user ID or is there a way to recover it from in Oracle Forms.

    Thanks in advance
    Michael

I seem to remember that we did in an installation of web Forms6i a few years ago.

We used the ONE LOGON trigger to invoke the DBMS_LDAP package to interact with the microsoft server active dir.

There are several ways to do it now with SSO also.

  • Provisioning of password in Active Directory and TCP ports

    Hello

-I want available to users and their passwords in Active Directory
-J' need to declare precisely what TCP ports that I use to have open in the FW:
-TCP port if an IDM and the gateway (or server connector): 9278 (or 8759)
-some ports between gateway and AD.

Can someone tell me what ports I need between catwalk and IDM? I tried 389 and 636, but this is obviously not sufficient...

    Thank you.

OK, let me tell you how it works then ;-)

-I am speaking here of the AD adapter only, and not the connector (I'll dig this one later)
-In the resource configuration page, you can choose the type of encryption: none, SSL, or Kerberos.

    -None:
everything is done on the LDAP port (389) except password management which is done on port TCP 445 (Microsoft proprietary protocol)
If 445 is blocked, no password provisioning is done and you will see the bridge trying to reach the ad on this port try ICMP (ping), then give up.

    -SSL:
everything is done on LDAP 636. Everything.
Why it does not work at first on my environment:
-a been configured correctly AD? Yep: private key in the local computer AD certificate store, CA in the trusted CA on the local computer data store
-have I forgotten to configure something on the side of the door? No, CA has been properly placed in the trusted CA on the local computer store
-the fact that I made typo somewhere? Nope.
-What I forgot, it is to restart the gateway service after having put the certificate in the trusted CA data store. And given that the computer does not restart for more than a month, the gateway service was not properly SSL-protocol of communication with AD...

    -Kerberos:
I do not tried this mode. (I wanted the standard LDAP bind for some reason)

now I can start growing hair again...

  • simultaneous reading and writing on a PDM file

I found similar discussions on here, but none that satisfied my problem. I'm running several loops within a vi, which writes data in a permanently .tdms file. Another loop to finish its task from the start in a test, and I want to transition this loop so that it accesses the file writing and started writing on a network. It also enables me to check that the data is being stored in the file and that it is corrupt.

I started with just the basics, but when I pass the second loop to read the file that is is always written off mistakes, saying that she met at the end of the file. It does if I put the count 1, -1 or anything in between. It illuminates, however, the end of the file output.

I have the entry in the file tdms on PDM read wired to a local variable, just as I do writing PDM, they all have both read the same thing and I get an iterations of a data value of the reading, so, apparently, file access is no problem. And I have to someone who cringed to local variables, ensure that reading and writing are not activated until the local variable is updated.

Try to set the "group name" entry on «TDMS read» If you write more than one group, you can use "View the contents of the DDHN" in order to get a list of groups.

  • Windows cannot boot mode safe (Active Directory repair)

Hi, I tried to get into the Mode safe on my desktop Windows 8 and I chose the 'Active Directory repair' option in the msconfig window. After the reboot, all I get is a blue screen with no login field and absolutely nothing to do except close down and restart. Is there a way to disable "Active Directory repair" and return to the normal startup mode without having access to the office. I do not have a Windows 8 DVD with me because I've updated online.

Herea picture of the blue white screen.

Hold down the SHIFT key when you click restart on the power to the menu screen.  It will take you to a place of recovery, that you can use to run system restore and to 'come back' until you have made the change.

    Hello people,

New to Oracle but competent in general I.T. stuff. Client has contacted saying the role Active Directory is installed on the box Server 2008 operates as a virtual machine. After which client could access is no longer remote server and subsequently deleted from Active Directory. Since then, OracleServiceXE will not start and no response on the homepage of Oracle apex / http://127.0.0.1:8080 / f? p = 4950.

I see a lot of other posts here for a resolution of the problems that led to the relocation of the software. We are OK with that. However, I would check the database of the customer will be able to be put back in place after reinstalling? If so, what is this process please?

We are open to troubleshooting and so if there is a solution relatively easy but otherwise open to reinstall.

We are open to paid support if necessary that the client has been down for a few days now.

XE includes Apex version is 4.0.2 I believe, so 4.1.1 would mean an upgrade has been done or at least tried. This is consistent with the loss of the app to start and perhaps also the http port disabled.

I would like to ask if anyone knows on the upgrade of the Apex, especially for about 20 August.

Of course, there is the theoretical possibility that db restored files came from a different set of installation/database XE, why we see Apex upgraded, etc.

  • LDAP (Active Directory) questioning 'current user '.

I went through a lot of things on it, but I would appreciate a response summary of this (probably...) FAQ:

Using CF (latest and greatest) on a (I presume) IIS server, I want to be able to automatically detect the Windows identity of "the currently logged in Windows user" and through queries LDAP (Active Directory), determine its attributes and the membership authentication purposes.  The user would not be questioned to get into any sort of username or password on his.  (This is strictly an intranet application and always will be).

In the Apache mod_ldapserver environment, I know that reliable information about the currently logged-in user can come from environment variables to make the following LDAP queries.  But I'm a little fuzzy on what I might expect/use in this situation.

    Pointers?  Hyperlinks?  Advice?

With Windows IIS on a Windows Server in a Windows domain to a Windows client using a Windows browser it can be done easily.

If "Windows integrated security" is selected in the IIS administrator and "Logon Anymous" is NOT checked, then the variable cgi.auth_user will be poplulate by the web server with the domain/user name of the user logged on to the client computer.

It's pretty simple to access this cgi.auth_user value and use it in a tag to read the record of the current directory for more information about this user.

  • Strategy of Kerberos WinServer2008r2 Active Directory group

    Hi all

Need help bad in this. I'm trying to implement kerberos on my active directory. What I understand is kerberos is the default and the primary authentication protocol used when connected to a domain, but where and how do I configure kerberos settings in group policy? I managed to find configurations of kerberos in the "Local Group Policy Editor", but this would not push configurations to my clients right?

I want to disable NTLM authentication as well and once again I can found under local policies > security options, but they are all local policies right? Is it possible that I can disable NTLM on my active directory and ensure that these settings are applied to my both client computers?

Thank you so much in advance!
