Reading/export framework weird jump/stuttering (CS4)

Hello. I'm really at a loss here. After more research, I came across messages of other people with the same problem on various sites, but no answers or with solutions that did not remedy my situation. But now I have a full video itching to finish and I can't do squat with her.

My specs:
Windows XP SP3, Intel Core 2 Quad 3 GHz, 4 GB Ram, nVidia GeForce 9600 GSO; Premiere Pro CS4. Not the most rig for video by far, I know, but I did have problems real editing/export so far.

The problem:

I blow me intermittent frame / stuttering on playback and export. In other words, it plays back jumping back between past and future executives.

I read that it is often due to an incompatibility between the format of the images and the settings of the sequence, and indeed I red especially bar my clips. But I can't imagine what that "inadequacy" he is. My camcorder records 1080 p in AVCHD format at 29.97 FPS, 48 kHz audio. So, when you create the project, I chose preset AVCHD with all these settings, with the exception that I changed audio at 44.1 KHz as the audio is just an overdub of a recording of music, which is at this sampling frequency. However, creating a sequence of test with the EXACT settings still gives a red bar.

I also read that it may be caused by the lack of processing power or too many effects; but these stutters read and return it in the raw images, even a single clip without effects. I did have this problem with previous projects, more complicated with many effects, which has played and made very well. Only this one has serious problems.

The weird part is that he doesn't seem to be just a problem with the playback/rendering; If I walk through the items which are stuttering frame-by-frame, or topping one of the clips of problem, these jumps seem to be among the items themselves. Stuttering is relatively uniform; Always happens in the same places, but if I rearrange some things, some of these stutters will disappear or others will emerge elsewhere. Certainly does not seem like a problem related to performance, not to mention a problem that makes no sense.

Stuttering is so common in export, it ruins the video entirely. Does anyone have an idea what's not here?

For editing AVCHD material EFFECTIVE you need a quad-core processor (i7 - 2600 k is better) and a MINIMUM of 2 hard drives

My 3 hard disks are configured as...

1 - 320Gig Boot Win7 Pro 64 bit and all the program installs

2 - 320Gig given for Win7 Exchange files and video project files

When I create a project on the #2 drive, the various work followed by files,.

so my boot drive is not used for files and media cache folder

3 - 1Terabyte data for all video files... entry & files (*) of output

(*) for 4 hard drives, 3 source of all files drive & ride 4 all output files

.

Microsoft Search to find out how to redirect your Windows swap file

http://search.Microsoft.com/search.aspx?mkt=en-us&setlang=en-us

.

Try to use only a hard for video editing

.

You are a conductor with a stick that you use to point to different parts of the Orchestra... it is like Windows pointing to different parts of the hard disk to clean Windows or load segments of emissions for various functions

.

Now, at the same time and with the same hand... while using the wand to direct the Orchestra... to take a bow and play a violin... it would do something with your video file at the same time as all other work

.

You as a person cannot do both at the same time with the same hand

.

A computer is a LITTLE better, because it allows to switch from one type of task to another very quickly, but not quickly enough for EASY video editing

.

You need at LEAST two hard disks (separate readers, never a partition http://forums.adobe.com/thread/650708 for more) Windows (or Mac OS) and software on your drive start-up and video files on a 2nd drive so the boot drive is not slowed down trying to do everything

.

I find that the three discs that I use work very well for me, for AVCHD video editing... some people use a 4th disk, so video INPUT files are on disc three and all OUTPUT files are in four in car... I bought only one case of mid-tour instead of a full tower case (my bad... but has had to adapt to the available space on my desk!) so I use three readers who will be adapted

.

Depending on your exact hardware (brand motherboard & pregnant make model AND USB2 & brand model AND external disk hard & model) AND the type of video file, you can... or maybe NOT... to be able to use an external USB2 drive for video editing SD (Standard definition)

.

Steve Grisetti in Premiere Elements forum http://forums.adobe.com/thread/856208 and Jim Simon in the Premiere Pro forum http://forums.adobe.com/thread/856433 use USB external references for editing

.

A USB3 HDD connected to a motherboard with USB3 is supposed to be fast enough for video editing (I do not have such, so do not know) but eSata there pretty fast data transfer for video editing... I did not use eSata Dock below for reference only, YMMV and all the usual disclaimers...

  • Video jumpy after export Quicktime Movie of PS CS4 Extended

I am producing a training video for short-term work.  I created my entire movie in iMovie ' 09 and she had desperately need a few arrows and text in order to clarify some more technical aspects.  I've exported as a Quicktime from iMovie file and imported in Ps CS4 extended.

After having finished the mounting, I chose to export my video, once again as a Quicktime movie.

The export is complete, and when I went to see my movie, he was extremely nervous.  Watch the online time on the bottom of the Quicktime screen, I noticed that he was jumping in several intervals of seconds.  The audio sounds like normal, but kept the video freeze and interference.

I tried to re - export the video with Quicktime Animation settings, and Frames Per Second to know.

    No difference.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

    It's 50-50 live video/ultrasound gray scale clips.

I used animation because I was told that it was the most without loss. I wanted to not double compress my video too.

The animation codec is lossless, but it works best on the flat areas of color (like animation 2D, The Simpsons, etc.). I don't think that it handles live action or else noise. The ultrasound imaging can be quite noisy. The nervousness could be the animation codec choke in noisy real action?

If you don't want a double-compress, you should worry about compression far upward flow. Looks like iMovie gives you already a highly compressed h.264. You could try exporting from iMovie to the highest possible bitrate video (= less loss).

  • Why am I a '-01' after my export named differently in Illustrator CS4?  i.e.: JPEG and PNG files.

Again, the files I'm export are assigned different names than the Illustrator CS4 file or other files in the destination folder.

    THX.

It doesn't sound like it's automatic numbering due to several work plans. Unfortunately, there are only a few options... to rename the files of the operating system, use 1 plan of work per file.

I just tested the behavior in CS5, CS6 and CC and it's the same thing. If you check 'Use work plans', you'll get automatic numbering.

OK, I'm looking for my first in Premiere CS4 5.1 mix.  I have some basic questions on the mix and export in 5.1.

I created my first 5.1 master sequence and broke my mono 5.1 to 6 audio track.  Right now they are all .wma with a very high bitrate because this is the only format I could tear the Blu - ray disc with what I experience.  I also learned to change my audio hardware to run out of my driver Matrox to use my material for my matrox axio THE.  The end result, I am producing is a 720 p 23,967 fps H.264 Blu - ray disc with 5.1 sound.

This question concerns the code of

    exportInfoSuite-> GetExportSourceInfo (exporterPluginID,

The problem I m facing which is the value of seqFrameRate.mFloat64

    fate zero (why?).

Moreover, since the type of ticksPerSecond and seqFrameRateTicks

is PrTime (which is a 64-bit int), I want to know what will be the best way

to convert them to other 32-bit values (int, float, etc.).

    Thank you

    Agam

    Hello Agam,

Copy the following code in the CS4 SDK was written for version 4.0 initial, where GetExportSourceInfo (kExportInfo_VideoFrameRate) originally returned a float value.  In 4.0.1 this was changed (to be simpler for developers) to return a PrTime value.  So in version CS5 SDK, code now looks like this:

    exportInfoSuite-> GetExportSourceInfo)

    exporterPluginID,
    kExportInfo_VideoFrameRate,
    (& seqFrameRate);

    ...

    frameRateValues.value.timeValue = seqFrameRate.mInt64;

So that it now uses the mInt64 union member, because PrTime is a 64-bit int.

To convert PrTime to a float, the SDK Guide, Chapter 3, section from time to time, reads: "when a cadence is represented as a PrTime, the frame rate is the number of ticks in a time frame.  The number of beats per second must be retrieved by using the callback as a result of the time. "So just divide the PrTime value by ticks per second returned by GetTicksPerSecond().

  • PIP fade on with exported framework

    Hello

Jeremy... framework cale did not what I needed... because it was freezing just to point on the first clip of output in the framing and the bmp is already a 'frozen '...

export the last frame of the first clip gives me the bmp who has black around this area that was cropped... which I turned white to use a cache... (which did not work well)... but that's why you see white in the miniature of the bmp...

Then I cropped the white (leaving just the small picture) and then use opacity to falter... works well...

    1.jpg

    Rod,

The interesting (in some cases worse) on copy and paste attributes, it's that it will copy and paste then all THE attributes, not only the ones a person might wish. A then goes in the effect controls panel and switch all undesirable effect OFF or Rt-click and click clear, if they are not fixed effects, opacity, scale, Position, Rotation, etc. - those just need to be toggled OFF, or default. Looks like you have more effects, you want. Don't think that CS5 has added the ability to copy only certain effects, omitting others, but some CS5 users can expose more on that.

When I do a lot of copy and paste attributes, I try to put my first clip in everything what I want Pasted, then go and add other effects or adapt existing ones, according to. In some cases, when I came back and had a bunch of effects that I did not in all the other Clips, I would have just put up a new video, or Movie Clip on the Timeline/sequence instance, adjust as needed elsewhere, copy and then select any destination Clips, choose the attributes of the dough. Once completed, I would delete just my Source of the Timeline/sequence element. In many cases, it is easier for me to do a bunch of activating/deactivating OFF and cleared up, especially with many Clips. A single workflow possible.

    Good luck

  • Paint tool "jumps" in CS4

I have these problems in Photoshop CS4 (Windows Vista):

When I use the brush to paint lines (documents to tif) it often ' skips' and painted the line somewhere else on the document.

When I use the hand tool to move around the document, it sometimes "jumps back. If I move the document to the left in several moves, it begins to jump to the right, after a few movements.

When I zoom by pressing ctrl + space empty and 'do a zoom-square' with the mouse, the place doesn't start when I hold the mouse. He zoomed in somewhere else in the document.

I hope someone can help me.

A driver must be saying that she jumps around. He won't move without an order. The mouse might be interesting to look at or even carpet mouse to swap.

  • Export of parameters (Premiere Pro CS4 with Matrox)

    Premiere Pro CS4

    Canon XHG1 camera (HDV/Mini-DV/NTSC)

    Card Matrox RT. X 2

HP's Z800 with Intel Xeon 2.4 GHz, 12 GB of RAM and running Windows 7

I have experience with digital video editing in first, export up to 40 minutes the videos (which took maybe 2 hours for export), but the last version I used was perhaps first 7 and I didn't have the Matrox card (and used a much less powerful than this computer). I used as just a level of consumption, not the big Canon camera. Now, I try to export the video and there are more choices that I had before, and it seems that the time estimated to export is quite high, despite a good machine and the Matrox card.

So my question is, is there anywhere a chart that shows what settings to use for the particular output you are looking for? For example, what should I choose for the web that's enough quality but not a giant file? What should I choose if I want to make a DVD? Is it possible to export directly to a DVD, if you do not manipulate the video at all? I said, I should be able to use the Matrox card to reduce the time to export, but it seems that at least 5 times the length of the video export anything.

I guess a question important here is: what is the normal amount of time I should expect something to take to the export? I have a 2 hour video that just needs to be transferred from mini DV tapes and engraved on a DVD - no necessary effect. Time to export the lowest estimate I can get is about 10 hours, and I don't know what that looks like in terms of quality when finished.

In the future I'll do more often in short (2 minutes or less) video for the web, so time for export should be short, but I would still like to know what are the best settings and how much time it should take.

I hope this makes sense - thanks for your help!

The major bottleneck appears indeed disk I/O.Even if you have two physical disks in the system, Win7 consider them as a single disc, because they are attacked as a raid1. For performance optimal disc I suggest you to add at least two physical disks + 7200 RPM (so SAS or SATA, the latter cheaper, the first with a best performance), move the pagefile and projects and the cache of media in one of the discs and the other disk media. Which will improve your results significantly in my opinion.

Then have a look at the two latest guides here, storage and tuning: How to get the best from a PC? Some guides...

The setting guide was written for Vista, but the Blackviper site now also has a guide for Win7 services.

    I hope this helps.

  • Do not export LR + Snow Leopard to CS4

Operating system: Apple OS x Snow Leopard

When I work with Lightroom (64 bit activate feature) I can't export the photos processed with the adjustment brush and masks to Photoshop CS4: CS4 starts but nothing happens.

If I close Lightroom, I select the 32-bit mode and I restart the program, this time I am able to export to Photoshop the same photos with no problems.

It is really strange, I can't find any explanation... It never happened with Leopard: Lightroom has worked in 64-bit with no problems.

Anyone of you have the same problem?
Please let me know if I'm the only one, or if the problem is a common bug.

    Thank you!

Run in 32-bit mode solves this problem.

  • Exported framework - wrong color

When I export an image and open it in Photoshop, the colors are not - why is this?

A pure turquoise in PP seems to be mixed with 20-30% white when opened in Photoshop.

It makes no difference if I export the png image, tiff, etc.

    RESOLVED:

I looked in PS/Proof Setup - and the default setting is 'CMYK work'!

Which explains everything. All my colors obviously returned when I changed that to "Monitor RGB".

  • Export video in first Pro CS4

    Hey all!

When I export my finished video, that he asks me to define all the properties as the codec and its details, res and all that jazz - I was wondering, isn't it possible to have the use of the exported video the exact same properties as the original? It seems I have TO re - encode...

I don't want to risk losing any video or sound quality then why do I have to change the video codec? Is there no way of just using the properties of video source?

Any info would be great, well done guys!

Edition of long GOP source material like this H.264 will ALLWAYS source result in loss of production. There is no way around it. However, if you export with the right codec and bitrate to the right settings you can minimize loss of barely perceptible production. But it is important to export it as few times as possible. Of course 5 generation losses will be much worse than a loss of unique production and if you want to get the best quality output, use the optimal rendering quality setting. It will take 2-3 times longer but you maintain the best quality.

  • Weird police in CS4 with 321impact bug

    Hello

Using the font 321Impact to a lot of work in Photoshop etc works fine. Come to use the font in InDesign (cs4) but

whenever I type the words like 'trust' or 'find' the f and i characters disappear! This only happens with the combination of letters

Fi and fl - it's driving me crazy! The police works perfectly well in everything else and the characters don't disppear. I thought that it

was a display problem, but the characters print missing. Instead of 'trust', he released "trust" with the missing letters.

Here is the link to the police:

Someone else had a similar problem and knows how to fix it!

    Thanks in advance

The police has apparently no ligature support. Turn them off.

  • How is - a export a CS3 to the CS4 font?

CS3 has a font I want to use that is not included in After Effects CS4

Someone can tell me how to extract the type of first Pro CS3 or CS3's face, and then add it to Adobe After Effects CS4.

Sorry if this is basic stuff, but I've never done this before.

Oops, I forgot my manners - welcome on the forum.

BTW, what is the name of this particular font? If you have a copy of CS3 (or perhaps another program Adobe, where it was included), you just need to use the control panel > fonts and install it on your system. Now if he wasn't an Adobe policy initially, but which has been installed on another machine via other software, you need just to track down this font, copy it on and then install it in the OS, in the same way.

    Good luck

  • CS4: Clearly the source, but the motion blur of the output gives the export

    Hello!

When exporting my videos imported into CS4, quick movement appears blurry, even if the source is much clearer.

    Demo 1: Source, output
    Demo 2: Source, output

I was hoping someone could explain to me why the output is much more blurred and if possible, how to fix it.

    Sequence options:
I tried a bunch of sequence different presets such as AVCHD/AVC-Intra/HDV/XDCAM/P2, or custom options (parameter FPS to 29.97, 30, 59.94, 60 fields/up/down, change the display format), but the output is blurry, no matter what I try. Made with upper/lower case fields does not; so the progressive setting is probably correct.

I have also created a project without a sequence, imported the clip and it has exported directly; the output was still unclear.

    Export options:
I used recommended an export preset for export on Vimeo (see paragraph CS4), which uses the H.264.

    Information about the source clips:
They are filmed with my GoPro Hero HD cam to 720 p 60.
    MediaInfo output: video, audio
    Output of GSpot
Interpretation of the creation of a clip

    My system:
Windows 7. 4 GB of Ram, but 32 bits, up to 2.8 GB of RAM is used.
    Intel Core i3 550, 3.20 GHz
Video card: Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS 320 MB of RAM
    1 monitor

I hope that this information is sufficient, please let me know if there is anything I should add.
Even if it is not possible to fix it, I hope someone can explain to me why the output is so different from the source!

    Thank you!
