  I looked everywhere for info on this and found nothing. Anyone know how to read the settings contained in a .pst file? I found some that I really like, but would like to know what they are doing. In other words, what are the different used FX and what are their settings? I would use some other users have created as a starting point to create my own channels of FX. Open in a text editor doesn't show something like:

  You're right, the settings file contain only of the code when opened in a text editor.

  But why don't you just open settings in a project, this way of seeing exactly what Plugins are loaded. Opening of the plug-in window will show you their parameters.

  The only restriction is that GarageBand has only a limited view of Plugin window which can not show all settings. To do this you must open in Logic Pro X.

• My inner smartdrive dvd player won't read DVDs more.  I have updated to Snow Leopard in Yosemite.

  I am currently using OS X Yosemite 10.10.5.  I bought in 2009 iMac with Snow Leopard and have to Lion then updated my current operating system.  The internal dvd player has worked with much fussing, (insert the disc - closing - turn after a wait - by pushing the drive when he jumped on reboot).  If I had the chance after a few hours, the video disc show up on my desk.  When this happened, I was opening the dvd player that was in the Finder and the disc would play. I also tried to open the dvd first player and then insert the disc.  That no longer works.  Yesterday, only it just stop working.  The reader still takes dvd and swirls and click as before but then ejects the dvd. Repeatedly stop and restart is no longer works.  I make sure that the dvd be clean before I use it and have tried many different DVDs without success.  I think it's a software issue.  Does anyone have an idea/instructions a nearly dead grandmother brain that can follow to update or redate back to original factory setting to help this poor Smartdrive not so smart?

  I have no TV, only my computer and phone at low prices.  I need to watch that my library borrowed from the dvd.

  I suspect the optical drive has failed. My 2009 Mac Mini could not shoot with same symptom 4 years ago.

  To confirm a drive failure, insert a Snow Leopard installation DVD and try to start with the C key.

  If this isn't the case, they drive could not be started.

  I would just get an external optical drive, one powered with an AC adapter. The Superdrive Apple USB does not work without a hack.

  While I experienced it several times since the upgrade to iOS 10 (I had a 6s and now have an iPhone 7 more) I'm not find other reports of what I find curious.

  I have a few friends who have read these receipts. I've seen for a long time (as I should) when they read my iMessage. However, I am certain that the following happened repeatedly since the iOS 10 update.

  1. several iMessages will be displayed as "read" and time in a thread. The last will remain as "delivered", never change to 'read', but the recipient will respond to the message e-mail claims that they have not yet read.  Obviously, it has been read, but does not display a confirmation of reading for all iMessages.  That the final message never gets a read receipt, and then they return again as the conversation continues.

  2. just the problem of this morning two took place once again so I know I'm not crazy.   This morning I sent an iMessage. A moment later she clearly shows "read at 07:14.  I went to my business, but it was strange for that person not to answer quickly. I looked back at the thread and now the same message showed as "delivered". The read receipt was missing.

  The beneficiary was busy well, responded an hour later. When they sent their response confirmation of reading 'Read 07:14 ' returned. They had already read. Why the read receipt appeared, changed again to "deliveried" and then reappears only when they responded escapes me.

  I'm positive these have two happen several times. I know major changes to Messaging. I can't imagine I'm the only user noticing it.  Thoughts?

  This certainly isn't a new issue with iOS 10. We have sporadic reports at least several months. There seems to be a relatively rare problem and I didn't follow it pretty close to remind that, if all solutions have been proposed. I recommend the forum search.

  These days, sites that require Adobe Reader to view content do not open in Safari.  At least some of them, because who knows what technology is used to build each website that I visit?

• How to read a play list in iTunes (macOS Sierra)

  I just want to play a playlist in iTunes (version 12.5.1.21). Can someone tell me how to do this without going through several steps? It seems impossible that there is no way to play a playlist, so I think I missed something obvious.

  I note the button 'Shuffle All' (the right side of the screenshot below). But I don't want to mix the playlist. I just want to play. I watched and clicked around in the interface and searched online, but I can't find the location of the play button.

  I thought that maybe they made a strange decision to bury the play option in the menu «...» "on the far right, but there is no option of reading it. (I know there are options of this menu next 'Play' and 'Play later', but none of these options now lets list).

  (To note that by clicking on the cover album opens a pop up to change the image. I think a button play here would be better suited to 99% + use cases and it would be also compatible with the play button that exists on the cover art when you browse albums.)

  Yet once, does anyone know how to play just a playlist (not random) without going through several steps?

  Double-click the icon of the disk on the desktop. I hope that you have installed an application that can read the content for you.

  If you don't see the icon of the disk on the desktop, open the Finder, then go to the Finder menu bar and click Finder > Preferences, and then select the general tab and then make sure: CD, DVD and iPods is selected.

• Now that I'm in it, how about iCloud document reader?

  My files are all in the cloud, out of my MacBook Pro right now. Now, I have no files at all without electricity and WiFi. This does work for me at all. I have not read the words very few subtleties in the promotion of this cloud of Apple service. I thought it would be copy and sync my files, not take them all of me and allow me to access it as long I have pay and have wifi access.

  I now know nothing now how to reverse and restore my 30 GB of files. I think to disable the iCloud drive documents and just restore my files from my local time machine backup. Is there a better way to go? Should I delete the files present in the iCloud drive?

  If you see the files in the Finder/iCloud drive, they copy on your computer in one location other than a document, and then clear the option to synchronize. Then you should be able to put the files where you want.

• iTunes deleted 12.5.1.21 options of reading audio books

  Just updated iTunes to version 12.4.3.1 on Windows 10 PC 12.5.1.21

  Before the update, there are two options for reading audio books: remember the playback position and jump when brewing.  (to find these, select Get info on the audio book and choose the tab options).

  In the new update, these two check boxes have been removed. I hope that the answer is because there is little (or not) users who wouldn't never want these options, and the developers of iTunes just hardcoded these options in the metadata file.

  So what is the reason for their removal? If the options are always available at the place where have they been moved?

  I see these options, but cannot change them and the media type is set to Audiobook. Setting Media type for music and applying, then find the article, options and change the type of media to Audiobook works but is a bit lengthy. Use iTunes Feedback or Apple Bug Reporter to Apple let know.
