    Hi all! I just finished real oracle application implemented for the customer. Now, I need to UAT to them with cases. Some of the cases I don't know if he can make the cluster fail, or need to repair, or sunk. I need to tell them what happens if something go wrong in the following cases:

    case 1. the storage database server connection is down in a node, or all nodes of the cluster.

    case 2. Private SqlConnection connection down

    case 3. public network down into another node or all nodes of the cluster.

    Please, help to resolve the situation and behavior of oracle rac, or suggest me a useful document about this case.

  • Could not see HFM 11.1.2.4 Application Cluster when creating Application

    I installed EMP and HFM 11.1.2.4 on linux 5.8.

    When I try to create some application I see not the name of the cluster that I add when HFM configuration, configure the application cluster.

    I met the same problem in exalytics but I solved it by removing the Cluster of HFM name space during the configuration.


    I am also faced with ADF problems on linux 5.8 not on exalytics. I'm getting ADF errors when I try to open and HFM/page tabs in the administration of the consolidation. Reopening this page decided that the error.


    I checked in my exalytics that I see 2 entries in my TNSNAME. ORA file is located at $user_projects/config/dbclient/tnsname.ora

    Entries are HFMTNS and AIF_ORCL

    I checked in my linux 5.8 machine that there is no entry in the tnsname.ora file.

    I use the EPM 11.1.1.3 System. The Oracle database version is 10g. When I tried to reconfigure HFM Application cluster via the EMP Configurator, I get error below. I just added the name of the HFM server to the cluster and click Next. Please could you help on this issue.

    Error Msg in the log file:

    I installed Oracle 10 g server on my PC without RAC configuration. To enable archiving only after a command, I have published.

    "Alter system set Cluster_Database = True Scope = spfile"

    It was working well but when I tried to start the database by using connect as sysdba and "statup" command it gives following error.

    "ORA-00439: feature not enabled no: Real Application Clusters.

    Please help me on this issue.

    CLUSTER_DATABASE parameter is not bound to the Archives of the newspapers (assuming that's what you mean by 'activate archiving'). So I don't know why you set this in the first place.

    Given that the CAR is not installed and CLUSTER_DATABASE required by CARS, the error you are getting is not surprising. You'll want to change the parameter to false.

    I installed WAM on a three-node cluster, with a footstool of Server WebLogic Administration Console on the node 1, but WLS_FORMS managed server on node 1, 2 and 3. I need to break 3 node in the cluster, as the company needs to use it for testing idepentantly. I have already built a new instance of WAM database for this, but I don't know how to break 3 node in the cluster and run with its own Web Server Admin logic.

    Of after your description it seems that it is only a single domain configured which has wls_forms tuned to 3 knots.

    In this case, you can't break wls_forms on node3 to have its own server admin.

    My suggestion is to stop wls_forms on node3 and configure a new area dedicated to node 3 with an administrator of the server and the managed Forms Server.

    From GR 11 1 11 GR 2 material, there is not much on the side of the data base which is different with respect to Oracle RAC. Which means that anything like that again for a server Oracle 11 g RAC 2 is too new for an Oracle 11 GR one-time 2 server.

    On the side of the grid Infrastructure, the biggest difference is the introduction of the listener SCAN.

    The answer to this would be a step becaue the RAT tool, is it only 11.1 from. So you can replay the workload of another host running at 11.1 and change, you would use a box of test running with 10 g. I don't think that any group of patches makes this tool available in the version back who is there for a newer version, as in your case 11.1.
