Real ignorance screen resolution size

Hello world

I open an image in preview and InDesign.

I set the display size to 100% in both applications.

Preview displays a correct physical size on my screen for the image.

InDesign displays a bad physical dimension.

I read online that InDesign ignores the resolution of the screen and instead uses a value of 72 DPI hard. What's up with that? If I were on a retina display, it would be so bad.

I can't believe I'm understanding how well it works. It looks very bad that people need to use a JavaScript whenever they want to display pictures with their actual size "real".

Can someone shed light on this matter?

Thank you

Louis Pontoise

Right, you're not by double-clicking the Magnifier tool. Your mode of zoom is 100%, which shows the actual print size no real pixel size. Note my percentage of Zoom of ID:

    You need the Windows 7 driver for your video card, not for your
    monitor. Go to the website of the manufacturer of the video to watch card
    for this.

    Or, if you have a video on motherboard instead of a separate video card
    get the web site of the manufacturer of your computer.

  • Screen resolution/size changes when you use the touchpad

    Bought Probbok 4530 s. Win 7. I continue to have the screen/print resolutiom size change when you use the touch pad. The pointer seems to 'paste' and then when I move it, the screen get is much lower or higher. I continually have to type ctrl + or - to get the size of the screen back to the 'normal '. Is this something to do with the settings for the touchpad or pointer? Its driving me crazy...

    Bruce

    Hell, I think that this is it... Pinch Zoom! I have disabled that, as well as the "allow the theme change mouse pointers" on the pointers tab. I'm playing with it now, and it seems to have solved the problem. I'll let you know if this isn't... Thanks for the great help, Dragon fur!

  • WIndows 7 - can not lower the screen resolution

    I don't know when it happened... apparently, after one of the windows updates because it worked very well, a month or two ago... anyway, here's my problem. A month ago I got the Sims 3 World Adeventures. I installed it and he played wonderfully. I have themselves are involved in the Facebook games and he has not played for a few weeks, but recently decided to go back to the Sims 3. I clicked the shortcut, open Launcher, I clicked on play and my screen went black, then white, then gray, then horizontal strips of red, green and blue, I think that the colors are then complete blue (like the blue BSOD) then he began again, black, white etc. I could alt tab out after a few minutes.  No error message, no beeps and the computer wasn't warm because I had just started before trying to play.

    I'm running on an Acer Aspite Z5600 with touchscreen (its an all-in-one... looks like a monitor etc), Windows Home Premium, 3 gig of ram, op 64 bit, Pentium system dual core, Intel G45/G43 Express chipset. I went to check my graphics settings - the resolution is set in 1920 x 1080 monitor shows a built-in display. I thought that maybe the resolution was causing problems because the Sims 3 do not like this high middle (I never changed it and the game worked before but I thought of one another program may have) when I put the lower resolution and hit apply I had the same changes in strange black on white, etc.. Yet once again, I had to alt tab out... it took forever to do, and my resolution had not changed.  Everything else seems to work fine... my browser and other... I can play some Facebook games and it seems pretty much any game that starts in a window / windowed mode. I changed the settings on the Sims 3 to play in windowed mode and it starts very well (I HATE the windowed mode tho) I decided to do some research and see if I could find a solution later and decided to go play another game, (one of the verizon games I had played before without problem) and he did the same thing as Sims 3 dang. It is a demand pretty weak game graphics-wise (his Poppit to go - even my old laptop can play it.) so having unplayable all of a sudden he had me beat. Color changes look almost like a kind of graphical test. Hope I have not confused LOL thanks everybody for any help.

    I have a reversible temporary solution of 10 steps for this problem, im also using a race of z5600 acer windows 7 and when I try to run anything that changes the resolution of the screen the screen turns black and flashes different colors is a way around this, but you will not be able to use the full screen , and when your done with the game or whatever you will be able to use the full screen new heres how

    1. start

    2 right click computer

    3. click on properties

    4. click on Device Manager

    5. If Conrtol user account appears, click Yes

    6. click on the tab display cards

    7. right click Intel G45/43 Express Chipset

    8. click on turn off

    9. now the display begins to blink and you'll notice that sub-par signifigantly window, you only 3 options for screen resolution size but most of the games will take place and you will be able to see

    10. to make the fullscreen back you will need to follow the same steps as above, then click Activate

    Hope that this help is the only way it would work for me ~ JUZTICE

  • Reducing the size of the Panel complete front to adjust the screen resolution of 1024 pixels / 786 pixels

    Hello.

    I designed the app and now I found the screen resolution required is 1024/786. I have a lot of orders and indicators and very worried that the façade will lose his eye and he'll take a lot of time to be set for each control and text.

    I wonder if this is the way I could shrink the size of the front panel so it automatically reduces the size of each control and indicator and it fits well in the required resolution. Any ideas?

    Thanks for help

    It is best to set the maximum screen resolution before attempting to adjust the size of icons and text on the desktop, notification area, Quick Launch bar and start menu? I know that the icons can be made to the largest and by choosing a lower screen resolution but y at - it a benefit to have the maximum resolution? My view is not too good and I need icons and text to be big enough.

    Hello

    The screen, or the screen resolution, resolution refers to the size of the whole image displayed on your computer screen. Specifically, he refers the number of picture elements, or pixels, which are displayed at the same time. A pixel is the smallest element on your computer screen, the more pixels, the more detailed the picture will be. With fewer pixels, display items will be larger, but there will be less space on the desktop for windows and the programs to run.

    You can visit the link provided below for more information about the screen resolution in Windows XP.

    After you download the latest updates, my resolution size and changed screen fonts.  I was not able to get the slightly larger font size and a good resolution. I get the fine print on screens and large fonts in the Middle! Help. Is there anyway to fix this?

    Assuming you're right about the updates being the culprit...
    I'm not trying to dramatize the situation. That's what I would do if I was faced with this question...
    1, temporary Windows Update Manual... which means that you decide what, when and which updates you want to install.
    2. do a system restore, choose the date where the screen resolution and the fonts were ok as your restore point.
    3. when these updates come to install again, do only ONE AT A TIME. After each installation, check if the screen is ok, and then next update and so on.
    In this way, you will be able to isolate the update is the culprit.
    It will also prove or disprove your prognosis. You may be barking the wrong tree.

  • Make the size of the police according to different screen resolutions

    Hi all

    I'm developing an application that needs to run on the two devices OS 6 and 7. There are a number of devices that fall into that category, I need to standardize the sizes of police across all screen resolutions.

    A few messages in the support forum, I understand that I need to use UNITS_pt as the police unit in order to standardize the size of police across all resolutions.

    But my client gave me sizes of fonts to use in pixels. Should have sizes from photoshop. What I need now, is to convert the font size of the pixels into points. I created a method that you can find below, for this conversion, but I don't know if it will work or not. I need an expert advisor.

    public static Font getFontPlain(int fontSizeInPixels) {
            try {
                fontFamily = FontFamily.forName("Helvetica");
            } catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
                Logger.blackBerryErrorLog("Error creating font", e);
            }
            int size = Ui.convertSize(fontSizeInPixels, Ui.UNITS_px, Ui.UNITS_pt);
            Font font = fontFamily.getFont(Font.PLAIN, size, Ui.UNITS_pt);
            return font;
        }

    Any help on this will be appreciated.

    Thank you much in advance.

    "Should have sizes from photoshop".

    Unfortunately, it's a potential problem.  I've been in this situation before, and the size of the pixel depends on the size of the image that the designer uses to work up the screenshots.

    I had a designer who has very well used 72 dpi in the development of its screenshots and therefore the size of the pixel corresponding points, a point is 1/72nd of an inch.  This could be the case here.  What device has been the designer develops for and what size have been specified for the various policies?

  • Lock screen resolution does not display the correct image size

    original title: lock the resolution of the screen and graphics

    It's not just me, but I have problems with my lock screen. Any image I use the image is the right size and color aren't (almost like a filter of Sarcelles is imposed).

    My native screen resolution is 5760 x 1080. I tried for some screen resolutions, both the original and the current. Even the original will not display correctly.

    Ideas?

    Well, well, well. After you disable the lock for a while screen, today I decided to re-activated it. I love nail polish it gives for WIn8 only that my plan was to use a solid color.

    Imagine my surprise when applied wallpaper appears with the correct aspect ratio.

    Even more surprised that it allows me to use ANY wallpaper now and they look all perfect; 16:9, ultra wide-angle (surround), it does not matter. Everyone is properly rendered to the screen.

    If anyone from MS is reading this, thank you. I know how Visual, aesthetic items will fall to the bottom of the to do list due to the perception of someone, they are trivial and not important.

    You took the time actually solve this little problem. I am amazed, that perhaps MS really takes a step to circulate better over time. Really looking forward to what is to come!

    Happy 4th of July!

  • Size of screen resolution

    Good experts, here's your chance to win the Gold Cup.   Before this week, I had an old HP with XP Home computer. My monitor is LG Flatron #W2053TP, and with XP Home, the resolution was 1078 x 860 (I think it was the resolution of the screen). Now that I have this HP p6750f with Windows 7-64 bit computer, the resolution of the monitor is 1600 x 900 (recommended), which does something more grand... as is done people face.  Windows 7 automatically adjusts these monitors to the screen resolution that fits?

    Hello:

    Yes it does, but you can change the resolution of the screen a different setting if you wish. Just to the control panel > appearance and personalization > change the screen resolution.  When you select different resolutions, note the appearance of the display screen in the window, you will see change forms such as 4:3 for the old monitor and shape of widescreen 16:9 for one like yours. You can find that the resolution is set for a 4:3 instead of 16:9 screen screen.

    In other words, you should be able to change the resolution of your screen to 1078 x 860 if there is such a context.

    In addition, you can install the driver for your monitor if you have not already done so.

  • The screen resolution is larger than the actual size of the screen.

    Right now my screen resolution is set at 1366 x 768, after installing graphics card AMD driver for my laptop Dell Inspiron M511R. It was normally 1280 x 768 before installation and when I put it in that everything always seems like the setting of 1366 x 768, but with black bars on the side of my screen. Is there a way to fix this? I also noticed that my taskbar and icons are smaller institutions.

    the native resolution of your screen is why do you want to below 1366 x 768

  • Sizes of screen resolution

    Hi all

    I hope someone can help with my query please. I created materials with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 only to realize some new users can only view it in 800 x 600 on their laptops as the Explorer bar takes a lot of the screen which means that they have scroll around to see the screen. If anyone knows if I can simply resize the videos without having to redo them. The videos are on the corporate Intranet in order to adjust it to the page isn't really an option.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Display HP 500 MT b screen resolution

    Display resolution of the screen does not stay at zoom 150 more. It keeps coming back to a small font size 100 zoom. I've already updated the drivers.

    I have tried these things.

    How can I get my screen resolution to stay in a 150 police? It keeps zooming to 100 whenever I Browse. I downloaded the update video drivers (who doesn't), I tried Panel & alt + v I have Windows 7 Professional on a HP 500 b Mt. thanks.

    It will be used by default once you navigate away from the page that you put the zoom on.

    1. In Internet Explorer, click on Tools and then click Internet Options.
    2. On the general tab, click accessibility.
    3. Select Ignore colors specified on Web pages, ignore styles specified on Web pages policeand checkboxes ignore sizes police specified on Web pages and then click OK twice.

    See step 2:  Customize the police, the size or color of any element of Windows

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310543

    And, finally, this involves editing the registry.  Don't forget Windows registry backup before making changes:

    Back up the registry

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/back-up-the-registry

    Open Regedit and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER Explorer\Zoom.

    In the right pane is a list for ZoomFactor.

    Double-click it and click on the button next to Decimal.

    Change the value of 100000 to 150000, click OK and exit Regedit.

    Now whenever you open IE, it should be zoomed about 150%. This will also zoom all new tabs open.
