Realistic hand-drawn lines

Salvation;

I've seen this fact but don't know how. How to make lines with any tool of design that vary in width, say, thicker at one end?

TIA,

Beno

    Hello world

    Does anyone know if there is a plugin/extension for Photoshop nc6 that allows you to create an effect similar to hand drawn as the example attached?

    I'd be surprised if you find a filter or a plugin that will do it automatically, because of the clever way that the strokes follow the appropriate angles.  You could certainly prepare the original image so as to make the easier to apply squiggles/hand-drawn lines, but it will go down to apply some drawing skills.

  • Tips for creating hand-drawn animations

    Dear all

    I want to produce animations with a hand drawn feel. What is the best way to go about this?

    What products Adobe would be best suited for this - I'd like the animations to run websites produced in HTML5? Would draw individual frames in Adobe and then export it to Flash and then export as HTML5?

    I would use a pen to do the drawings. Does this mean I have to buy an ipad and stylus or the surface pro? Are there other options? What is the best way to produce illustrations hand-drawn in the following Adobe?

    There are variety of decors/tablet you can look into these: graphic tablet / digitizer Tablet | Wacom

    You can also draw traditionally and scan your drawing in working with her.

    Take a look at the apps available here: http://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/catalog/desktop.html

    You can also use the tablet / in Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. You can also ask questions in the forums for these applications:

  • Simulating a hand-drawn illustration

    Hello! Does anyone have ideas how to simulate the following image drawn by hand with Illustrator brushes and fills?

    The situation would be... someone would create a new vector drawing (i.e., a reference to the photo) with outlines and fillings. With a few easy steps, it should be able to turn it into a vector drawing that looks like this style. It should be easy to do... maybe 2 or 3 as follows. It might also work with modules or plug-ins or something (should work with CS4 upward). Any ideas? Thank you very much for your help in advance!

    mockup.jpg

    I don't know if there is a plugin to transform a fill in traits. I tried blends between paths with effect to scratch like a more automated to create a pattern of lines and then expanded their and manually hit the edges and inside with the tool eraser to make it look less uniform, but I don't like how it looks compared to manually make some designs freehand with the artistic brush (at the bottom of the image) who also took less than dealing with the approach of mixture. So, if it's me I would just do it by hand.

  • Single line ink = unique uniform drawn line in the trace function? Nope.

    I use AI CS5 and I'm trying in vain to get a result of technical drawing with ONE single line drawn uniform thickness of a single comic line scanned in a Photoshop file. I try NOT to get a calligraphic line that runs end-blob-thick-blob-end again, and then becomes two parallel unbound, goes back to thick end. It may seem drawn by hand and artsy; That's fine, but this isn't what I hope. I want a path unique 1pt standard with no double section (supposed to be indicated). That's all I can get using the setting of "Technical drawing" of furshlugginer. Is this normal? If so, my boy, I have a feature request for Adobe! I realize that there will be occasional corners and feet which will become mapped out blobs that I'll need to lop, and I can handle this, but how do I draw a single line, the scanner, then tracing, to achieve a uniform line, as most of the real, actual, technical drawings I've seen? Or do I have a problem copy of CS5?

    I'm sure that this question was answered correctly somewhere between 2011 and 2016 (now), but in my search for the answer to this question, it's at the top of the list of Google search.

    Birck issue was to apply a single line of a drawing to simple line n/b. Given that you have a reasonably well resolved image, it seems that the best way to 'say' HERE you don't want to the contour of the whole width in pixels of a line is change the "Tracing Options/settings setting in the"PX"box for a low setting. For example; I had a TIFF image of 600 dpi to a line drawing, who read '600 px' when inserted. I just changed to "150 px", press "develop" and "Viola" - a single vector spline which was centered on the black line.

  • Cartoon / hand drawn filter possible?

    Hi motion graphics / illustration experts!

    I am working on a project where I want to create a simple cartoon style effect in a piece of footage and wondered how would be the best way to create something like this (reference): Watch Bleacher Report UK vine "today 10 years ago, Liverpool were about to lose the FA Cup final until... #Gerrard '

    I would like to hand-draw the sequences, but the only problem I have is that my client has more than 50 clips they want to create "convert" in the animated cartoon style shorts short line.
    The film is a mix of action sequences, and nothing can be "re-shot" on green screens, etc., that there is no budget essentially (obviously).

    What would advice everyone to approach such a project?

    Is there any good custom or built in plugins in After Effects, which could help me to achieve this type of look?

    Thanks in advance!

    Robbie.

    There is a variation of ToonIt included as part of the universe of the red giant, too, if I'm not mistaken.

    After effects has a cartoon included also.

    Whatever you use, you may need to change the settings to get the look that you're looking for and you may need to do some color correction effects quite involved in the cartoon effect to get the lines where you want MUCH. For example, if you get raccoon eyes, you may need to track movement of the eyes with a levels effect to brighten them so that the cartoon effect gives you the lines instead of black holes.

    You can also duplicate your film, blurred at the top layer and give it to darken (or multiply, I forget which) and it will look a little pictorial.   Then you can add some edges to it with the find edges effect or a cartoon effect. I mean, you can't have steak on a hamburger budget, then they will have to make compromises.

    Another alternative would be making your own cartoon with effects of Posterization effect, find the effects of edges, and stuff piled on each other with the adjustment of the colors below.

  • How to describe the hand drawn type made of multiple shots?

    I created a logo for a few friends of the family and the main part of the logo is drawn by hand, and it consists of several (a TON) of shots. The society becomes t-shirts made, and the t-shirt company contacted me to get a "vector file with the described fonts." I know very well how about fonts for real, but have no idea how to sketch a series of blows. Help! Thank you!

    Instead of features, looks like you have a huge amount of filled paths hanker to get united.

    Select all, go in the Pathfinder Panel and apply together.

  • Troubleshooting of hand drawn Animation (image)

    I am after several tutorials for an effect of the end of a hand or writing tool that seems to draw a picture. I try to have the hand pull the image of first taking the photo and using an edge effect and followed it with the pen tool. However, I have a few problems with it so far, namely:

    1. I vectorize the image I want drawn using the edge effect. I copy the mask produced from tracing and then paste in the keyframe of the position of my hand computer. The problem here is that it masks the section of my hand.

    2 get the hand to follow the mask created on the image path. The alternative in the video tutorials for this type of effect often manually keframes the hand in position. I was hoping that the mask path by pasting in the hand position keyframes, it would automatically follow the drawing.

    Please see the image below as an illustration (click to enlarge), thanks for your time

    smileyface_comp2.jpg

    You paste the masks in the layer and not in the position of the layer property.  Make a first keyframe to the position, highlight and paste into the first mask; It will come in with a default duration of 2 seconds.  Go beyond the last keyframe pasted in, making an another position keyframe, highlight and paste in the following mask... and so on.

    Carefully consider the sequence in which you paste these masks.  And get ready for a large number of keyframes to get the timing right.

  • Report of second-hand products - lines unspecified

    Hi all

    I tried to create a report that shows all the product lines by opportunity. However the allways report shows a unspecified in the product name column, even if there are products designated in the opportunity that it adds a line with "not specified." I used a CASE statement to make the empty line:
    BOX WHEN produced. "Product name" = "Not specified" THEN NULL ELSE. "" Product name "ENDS
    But I can't do the line disappear completely. Is the only way to get this richt to a union (a single report with filter on the <>'Unspecified' product name and the second with Product Name = 'No') or are there easier ways?

    Thank you in advance for your help!

    Tim.

    Hi Tim,.

    You can use a flag to filter these in the size of the opportunity product. The flag is called "Indicator of point recurring" and you can filter it is 1.00 to remove those unspecified lines. I raised but just a bug with oracle as import opportunities is originally the indicator either 1,00 for lines not specified. However, it should do the job.

    Thank you

  • Line to Illustrator: no vector shape

    Updated Illustrator CC & line, when I send my file to the line to Illustrator I get only a bitmap image in Illustrator. What's up please, Hey guys where are vector shapes? I do not understand what you are doing with these app, there are a lot of application much easier to use than yours! Look for example at the design ' ts, we can can compare it to the line, but they offer layers, forms can be easily moved and the file can be sent to illustrator and open in a vector format. It's a shame that this cannot be possible with your own application! Sorry, but I am totally disappointed...

  • Smoothing the rough lines? (Details in the post)

    Hi all. Thanks in advance I spill the details.

    I hand draw my art. After the scan it, I use the trace function in Illustrator with a value of 2 usually, blur then pull upward in Photoshop to touch up the lines.

    My dilemma is: how to smooth out the lines in my designs? What I did with SOME success is from the return PSD file in Illustrator, make some blur again, then back to Psalm

    In addition, I have attached a sample of a scanned drawing. If you guys/girls have a better and more simple way to smooth out the lines, I'm all ears.Scan0001.jpg

    Thank you!

    Howdy.

    Beautiful technique, Noel.

    Chewingcow: I don't know what you want to do with your image. If you need a line made without much editable, technical Christmas looks great. But if you want maximum editability, jump to Ps and learn to do it in Illustrator. If you check the forums Adobe Illustrator, the limitations of automatic Trace are a frequent topic. If the results you get need a trip to the Ps to get cleaned up, you might reconsider using Auto Trace. The big dogs world Illy always recommend to avoid Auto Trace and recommend instead followed by hand, using the pen tool. More you do it, you get faster. Of course, Illy has simple tools to create the geometric pieces.

    I know not how much you know about Illy, but in the time it takes to move back from Illy to Ps, you could probably recreate it from scratch in Illustrator. And have a fully editable and extremely scalable vector image.

    I made tracing below using the pen, with the exception of a circle tool, which I did with the Oval tool. It took only a few minutes.

    I kept going, and 20 minutes later, the drawing is converted to outlines. Twenty minutes is not a long time your art to speak. Especially when you consider where this 20 minutes gets you. From there, the rest is gravy.

    The foregoing has a stroke applied to paths. But if you want it to look more hand drawn, you can apply a brush instead of a stroke. There are tons of brushes in Illy, and it's easy to create your own. You can apply a brush that makes lines look smooth or rough. With a single mouse click, the image above looks like the image below. It seems tougher than the original. You can make it look like it was drawn with a pencil or a pen of calligraphy if you want.

    Or you can apply the color. Mouse over just a few clicks. One of the bazillion of opportunities.

    It is well worth your while to vectorize your art in Illustrator. It allows the same artwork as anything a business card for a T-shirt to a wrap of the car at a billboard of output. PS, not so much. There is a reason that illustrator is called Illustrator and Photoshop called Photoshop.

    But, if you really want to use Ps (this is the Ps forum, after all), I used to scan stuff hand drawn in Ps all the time. But I've rarely analysed in full compositions as in your example. I scanned in pieces and assembled with other art created in PS. My process is quite simple.

    I used the quick selection tool to select the Africa.

    Then, using the palette traced, I converted the selection to a vector using the command create a track work with tolerance set to 1.5. I usually put it entre.8 and 2, depends on the resolution of the image and a contrast. Fill and stroke have been applied. The form is not quite perfect (image of low resolution, blurry drawing are less accurate quick selection tool. The sharper your drawing, the better it works.), but it can be changed by using the vector tools in PS. I add Madagascar to the layer of Africa and organize other forms in appropriate laters. Build the image in this way, you get maximum editability. Not as good as Illustrator, but I made this way for years before I'm Illy.

    For what it's worth.

    Peace,

    Lee

  • Is it possible to draw a line under a clip?

    It's

    OS X

    Prime Minister & Photoshop Elements 9

    I want to create a line with arrowhead point out something in a clip. My preference is to have the line appear as if it were being developed, where he could be a wipe.

    I see at least one method of adding a line. Take a frame and add the line in Photoshop E, then insert the image in the sequence of the clip.

    However, I don't see if there is a way to make the dynamic line as described above. As an example of sports commentators way shoot a game to indicate the tactics that are currently running.

    My question: is there a way to accomplish a "dynamically appearing line" with pre and PE?

    Thank you

    Probably the best way to do it is to create 'line' and 'Flash' in the title. Then animate the crop effect to reveal over time, from the beginning of the line, until all is revealed. We can give the line a little more than a glance "hand drawn" by like a line on a trail with some "wiggles". [I think that before this, and you will want to choose a Style w / a stroke.] Then you can remove all attributes, as the filling, which are not necessary, but you have that Style first do a stroke].

    Personally, I create the title in Photoshop and use my Wacom to draw the line, to get the wiggles hand drawn. The resultant THAT PSD is imported in the meadow and the same animation of the cropping effect would be used.

    Good luck

  • Is DataBlDel() the best way to remove channel lines?

    Hello

    I try to delete specific lines in a block of channels and find that DataBlDel() is extremely slow. Of course, my channels is fairly long (~ 36e6 lines), but I find that it takes hours to remove a handful of lines. Is there a better way to do it?

    The code I use is listed here:

    Option Explicit

    I have Sun

    I have = 1

    <=>

    < 0="">
    Call DataBlDel("[]/Time",i,1)
    Call DataBlDel ("[]" / Time Delta ", i, 1")
    Call DataBlDel ("[] / Force load Pin (PST_002_FCE)", i, 1 ")
    On the other
    i = i + 1
    End If

    Wend

    Everything is very appreciated, advice

    PorridgeMan.

    Hi PorridgeMan,

    This task can be done loads faster.  First, the DataBlDel() command is working on multiple channels and multiple lines at once, so you call it many more times to you.  If the time of<0 rows="" are="" contiguous,="" the="" ideal="" approach="" would="" be="" to="" use="" the="" find()="" function="" to="" get="" the="" first="" row="" where="" time="">= 0 and use exactly a call DataBlDel() to remove all lines not valid 3 channels.  If the time<0 rows="" are="" not="" contiguous,="" then="" i'd="" recommend="" using="" the="" calculator="" approach,="" like="">

    L1 = NOC ("specifying")
    L2 = ONC ("/ time Delta")
    L3 = ONC ("/ Force charge Pin (PST_002_FCE)" ")
    IF L1 0 > AND L2 > 0 AND L3 > 0 tHEN
    Call FormulaCalc ("Ch (L3): = Ch (L3) + NoValue * (Ch (L1)")<>
    Call FormulaCalc ("Ch (L2): = Ch (L2) + NoValue * (Ch (L1)")<>
    Call FormulaCalc ("Ch (L1): = Ch (L1) + NoValue * (Ch (L1)")<>
    Call ChnNoVHandle (L1, L2 & "," & L3, "Delete", "XY", 1, 0)

  • Selects a line in a ListField

    I have a ListField in my application and I want to allow the user to select several lines that are not necessarily side by side.  Selection of lines 0, 3, 5, 9 and 10 for example.  How can I allow this behavior with a ListField?

    Thank you.

    It is not supported, but you can implement it yourself (as selected by hand, paint lines create a method getSelected etc.)
