  Finally able to install the drivers for this printer work under Windows 8.1 (using Vista on my old machine).   Thanks for your efforts to clear up my problem with the printer. Your last suggestion did not work well, as I have lst most of the functionality of the printer. Because of the problem with some software from Asus, I was forced to do a Refresh of system restored my laptop to a point prior to downloading the software of the printer. I downloaded the software, and with a few outside fiddling when I print, scan, etc. that I can usually get some features I used to have.

  Thank you, once again, to try to resolve the problem. I'll probably need to buy a new printer soon to get what I used to have.

  We purchased through amazon.de 4520 Envy HP all-in-one. Just tried to install and connect wirelessly to my HP Pavilion G6. Our laptop was free update Windows 10 about 6 months, he has also kindly invited by HP.

  Please uninstall and reinstall the software COMPLETE features, follow these steps:
  
  1 uninstall the software from your computer
  2. download and save the software COMPLETE features (do not install online)

  3. install the FULL feature software "saved".
  
  Once you have downloaded and installed the software, FULL of features, you will be able to print and scan.

• Problems scanning with c6150 all in one and Windows 8

  I have a new touchsmart from HP running Windows 8. I have an old printer c6150 all in one. I downloaded and installed the latest software and drivers for 64-bit Windows 8.

  I feel, copy and fax without problems. But when I try to scan, it freezes. It starts to scan and then just stops responding. I have to use Task Manager to quit the program. I tried the scan doctor and he says that there is a driver problem and it cannot communicate with the printer.

  Help, please.

  I solved the problem. The USB cable from the printer was not quite long enough to reach the back of my all in one computer, so I bought a USB extension cable. That works fine for normal printing, but apparently only works well for scanning.

  Once I connected the printer directly to the USB port on the computer, the scan function worked normally.

  perfectlywielessly worked under XP. Got the new windows 7 PC and still prints OK but does not parse. I think that the reason is that I have not all in software on this PC (I think that windows just downloaded the drriver to the printer.)   Go to the Apps page.  Right-click on the music, and iHeart Radio apps, the Xbox and select uninstall from the menu at the bottom of the page.  Do the same for all the other apps of Xbox you can find, and they will be gone.  I did it on my new computer, and it seems that my computer works better than most (all?) upgraded computers and some new.

  Make sure that your print spooler service is started.
