REALTEK AC97
I accidentally deleted my Realtek AC97 audio device and would like some advice on how to reinstall a new onw, can someone help me?
Concerning
Dennis
I guess you deleted the 'pilot' and 'peripheral '?
The first place where you should look for drivers is the website of the manufacturer of your computer. Go to their homepage and see the 'Support' section, then "downloads". If you cannot get the driver from your computer manufacturer's website, try the link below:

After changing the German OEM for Windows XP Pro SP2 do not work my Realtek AC97
Hello everyone,
After I changed the OS on my Satellite m40x.
My sound card does not work.
I have downloaded the driver of sound-sm40x-xp - 510005740t .zip. It detects unknown multimedia Audio Realtek AC97 Audio device, but it is marked with a! and he said:
Windows successfully loaded the device of this hardware, but driver cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)I'm sure that the device is working because when I try to disable it in Device Manager, I hear a beep warning me that I have her will deactivate.
Thanks to all in advance
Recovery to the German bone is not an option :D
Hello Val
Please check this document http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/Satellite/sm40x/win-xp/install-sm40x-xp-na.zip
Please install your unit following this statement of facilities. It is very important that all the software components are installed in this order.
You can also try to remove the block from the Device Manager, and then restart the device.

OK, I have this problem... I got crackling with music and I thought it was the driver. I uninstalled it (I had SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio). That I wanted to install it again with Driver Reviver. It shows me driver AC97 and when he moved, he gives me BSOD. I didn't give any sound and in the Device Manager, there are triangle with exclamation mark in it and she said multimedia Audio Controller. And in the details of the driver I am Realtek AC97. I ran everest and is the Foxconn AwardAcpi motherboard, that's what he said. Thanks in advance. BTW I reinstalled Windows (XP SP3 sound) and it gives me this error again.
Please do not ever under any circumstances use driver updating software. They wreak havoc on the machines.
Always install sites for manufacturers.
Please start without failure + networking mode. Copy the last 3 C:\Windows\Minidump files on the desktop.
Download them on Sky Drive and then paste a link here to them
-----------
When doing with it, visit the website of your motherboard for your model. Download and install the latest audio driver for XP.

original title: no sound
I used drivermax (for the first time) to update the drivers. Among the updates was for audio and subsequently did not sound. I tried to restore to a date backup earlier, but without success. My soundcard (?) is Realtek AC97 Audio, XP Pro 32 bit SP3
Bad move!
PC manufacturers sometimes 'tie' in the drivers for their machines so that the only reliable method to update either directly through their Web sites. DriverMax will detect your audio device and go to Realtek to obtain the driver. Not the solution, unfortunately
MS Update also not as he says, is up to date...
Go to the website of the manufacturer of the PC/laptop and find the support page for your machine. Download the audio drivers from here and install it.
If it is a machine that you have built yourself, go to the website of the manufacturer of the motherboard and do the same thing from there.
See you soon,.

Ill be doing his work on 2nd hand PC. Realtek AC97 Audio Driver necessary?
Ill be doing his work on 2nd hand PC. The audio controller multimedia mfg is listed as unknown. It didn't work not initially, but through troubleshooting, the properties of the device says now that it works correctly. Now missing the Realtek AC97 Audio driver. I tried several downloads, and but can't seem to get the driver installed. The pc did not come with any driver or installation CD when a dialog box opens, but that's all, I get a low "beep" of the PC. No access control of volume or other sounds.
Please try to install the driver:

Windows 7 Pro sound got scratchy - map its Realtek AC97
Laptop: Toshiba Tecra A4
OS: Windows 7 Pro (updated with a clean install of XP)
Sound card: Realtek
Pilot: Latest Realtek available, 6305
I've upgraded to Windows 7 with a clean install. The sound card worked perfectly until 3 weeks ago. Now, the sound coming from the speakers is scratchy (whether during playback of an mp3 file, a video file or a cd/dvd playback). When you use headphones, the sound is perfect. The last audio Associates download was the Real Player Cloud software and the Quick Time Player. Windows has also several updates.
I uninstalled and reinstalled several times the Realtek sound driver. No solution
I uninstalled Real Player Cloud software andQuick Time Player. No solution
I ran Microsoft troubleshooting. No solution
I used AVG to clean the registry after all the Nations United-installs. No solution
I tried the Realtek XP driver. No solution
Any suggestions? Attached a Direct X diagnostic card

Visit the website of the manufacturer of the motherboard and download the audio drivers. Check if your motherboard supports Windows 7. Some elders of the Mobo works with P4 do not. Check if yours supports to avoid problems in the future.

I have Windows xp and I have sound problems and I get answers as no card available and or no active mixer device. I read some outings. I'll problably do a full restore. But there's the right driver for the Realtek sound card. I went from the top of the files down, checking the drivers and to see if there were those that could be updated. I have found only one and he said that all the rest are the best and all performed correctly. I have sound if I play dvd but the only control I have is the speaker controls. The icon in the task bar disappeared and my sound more of the keyboard are inopertive to.
You most likely corruption sndvol32.exe, which is what allows access to the sound engineer and other sound controls in Windows. The solution is to restore from restoring your system. Following the steps in this tutorial on the way to install Windows Volume control should solve the problem and restore the normal functioning of your sound on your computer. The only thing to watch is to make sure you know which drive is actually the restore disc, because that can vary from the procedure described in the tutorial.

Vista and the need for a kind of wide equalization system in real time for audio... and this driver seems to provide what I need... but will it work on my microsoft Driver card hd audio? If it is not possible, then what program could I use for an equalizer?
Hello
What is the model number of your sound card?
The drivers are specific to a device. RealTek drivers don't work for its Microsoft Map, you must install the correct driver for your device package works very well.
For more information about the driver, see the links below

No sound from Digital Audio output
I have a HP Pavilion 1230n, which worked well for me. Initially, I thought that I had plugged my Boston Acoustic to this computer speakers when I got it, but I am not sure. in any case the sound works fine through the Green Plug little connects it to my stage monitors. When I plug in my external speakers to the Digital socket Audio Out I get nothing, I tried to leave the monitor speaker plug and it out. I get nothing in my external speakers. I don't see anything in the system that helps me determine if I need to activate the audio digital or not, or how to turn it on. I have Realtek AC97 Audio. Please can someone help? HP wanted $50 to diagnose and trouble shooting with me for once, because it's and the old system. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.
Go to control panel-> sounds and click the recording tab, then right click of the mouse to view devices disabled or disconnected. Do the same for the reading tab.
If you are still having problems then go to www.realtek.com for the latest audio driver.
The Realtek HD Audio Manager in the control panel should show a TAB digital output. But as mentioned above, non-digital speakers using SPDIF output is not going to work.

Portege A605 - can not monitor micro helmet speakers
Hello
I'll try to find a solution to a serious problem that I have on a recently purchased Toshiba Portege A605 P200 running Vista Home Premium SP2 with Realtek HD audio. From my research on the web, the problem I have seems very common with the Realtek/Vista system.
The problem is that I can't control my microphone in my headset speakers. For years, I've never had a problem of activation of this feature with other products of Realtek AC97 and Win XP. I was always able to hear my voice in my headset with my headset.
It's especially annoying because I have to make recordings using my SKYPE program and playback my voice using my headset microphone recordings. I can't rely on my Mic meter for the record, I have NOT heard myself. And forget to karaoke! It is not going to happen (not that I karaoke a lot)
FYI, I can record with my microphone, no problem, audible when I playback later. Only, I don't hear my voice through my headphones while recording in real time.
I read on some regedit fixes but none have worked for me so far. I am very familiar with regedit and woudn't mind a solution requiring a montage. I also read that "monitor input" is disabled and hidden by default. Could this be true?
I have improved my Realtek HD with the latest drivers and Audio Manager, 2.26 (6.0.1.5864) published on 02/06/09. I tried the original software included with the computer, driver 6.0.1.5655. Nothing works.
I can't believe that there isn't a solution to this. It is extremely important to me and my company and I would most appreciate it you know.
Thank you very much.
> Just, I can't hear my voice through my headphones while recording in real time.
To be honest I never tried to do so I've always used the microphone (no matter if it was an internal or external) with my previous books but I never heard my voice through the headphones or the speakers. My Sat A210 uses the Realtek audio chip too.
I checked the options but was not able to get the sound through the headphones or the speakers microphone. So my personal opinion is that this is not possible :(
I also searched on some Web sites of third-party 3 for similar themes, but found just this:

How to install Win 7 on a Satellite M30X-165 (S)
The laptop has a Pentium clocked at 1.6 GHz and 1 GB of RAM which I would upgrade to 2 GB. I want to change the OS from Win XP to Win 7. I know that Toshiba do not support the software and drivers for Win 7:
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=235849But when I remove the hard drive, install Windows Vista and later upgrade to Windows 7 If this could be a way to use Vista drivers and Toshiba Software, especially software for function keys. I think that the third-party software should come through Win 7 update.
Some devices are:
Intel (r) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection
Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Ethernet NIC
ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9600/9700 Series graphics card
ENE CB710 Cardbus Controller
Realtek AC97 Audio
TOSHIBA Software Modem (not important)Some software are:
TOSHIBA ConfigFree
Alps Pointing-device Driver
ATI Desktop component
TOSHIBA utilitiesLong ago, I had Satellite M70 that was machine WXP too. It was not supported for Win7 but I installed it to see how it will work. My problem was to find the display driver, but I found somewhere on the net and the machine was OK. I could use it but without specific Toshiba and utility tools.
Unfortunately on this forum we do have enough information about these updates on old machines. I can only say: install it, test it and post comments.

Cannot find a driver for multimedia audio controller
Windows XP home operating
computer pavilion a1200e
Fomated disc and reloaded xp and downloaded all the drivers for the hardware but it still shows under other in the Device Manager and have no sound.
Hello:
Your model may have the Realtek AC97 audio chip on board.
I don't see the drivers for the audio optional Soundblaster on your PC support page.
See if this driver works... Accept the agreement. Download and install the item 6th on the list (98Gold/98se/Me/2000/XP/2003(32/64 bits) for driver only Windows.) For Windows 98 SE, DirectX (R) 8 is required to enable advanced features. (Executable file)).
