Rearm Windows 7 Home Premium: 4

I have genuine Windows 7 Home Premium, I see windows remaining County: 4 is this normal? By default, after that I enabled and checked during the first use of the product key, it is: 3, but maybe after I have check with legitcheck.hta or Validation of Windows, if it is adopted we get Microsoft Security Essentials, and I went it, reset increased to 4. Could you explain to me?

Reset allows you to extend the period of grace before the activation of the product is required. It is not expected to be used as a way to circumvent product activation but to help users activate within a reasonable time.

  • Valid product key for Windows Vista Home Premium

So I recently brought a computer gateway two months ago with Windows Vista pre-installed on my computer. He had a problem some time ago, and a friend fixed my computer for me but in order for him to correct that he had to hold the operating system (Windows Vista) power off and turn it back on. I don't know what else he did to remedy, but it was working fine when I came back. He worked for several weeks to date. When I switch it on now the windows activation said windows ' windows vista home premium product key you typed is invalid for activation "options to solve this problem are the following:

Access your computer with reduced functionality - this option logs not me in all takes me on the website of windows and asks me to buy new vista
    OR
Type a different product key - this option only allow me to enter some characters of my product key.
    OR
Contact dell to help solve this problem

The laptop will now only let me use the laptop internet for searching the help/customer support. I tried manually stop, however at startup comes once again with the same error. I don't know how to fix this problem, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I called the manufacturer and microsoft, but the two keep me referring to eachother, and I continue to revolve around callling in round two, nothing has been solved and no one gave me answers or resolutions

Yes I can help you.  Open an Administrative command prompt.  Under start accessories then right-click command run as administrator.  At the command prompt, type enter this hit "slmgr.exe /upk".  then type "slmgr.exe /cpky" press enter then type "slmgr.exe /rearm" when you restart you will be asked to enter the key.  Enter one on the sticker on the side of the computer.  You should be good.  WARNING If you do this and the key is not software then maybe you victum of pirated software.  Really, it seems that your friend has stolen the key or installed a pirated version.  If you do not now, it can happen again.

Not possible, Windows 7 Home Premium is the owner and must be licensed (activated) to be in compliance with the terms of the license.

Or I have to buy Windows 7 Home Premium product key to activate it?

You must activate it to be in compliance with the terms of the license.

    2. where can I buy a genuine Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 Version 2002? Please give me the links...

Windows XP is obsolete and is no longer supported. You might be able to find copies vintage on amazon.com, but you could use it at your own risk.

    3. I used the Windows hacked to download Windows 7.ISO, the reason is I want restored the authentic version of Windows use my own key, it becomes illegal because I used Windows hacked to download Windows.ISO? Or I have to buy a DVD Installer Clean to clean install?

If you want to use genuine Windows 7 Home Premium, you must purchase a license.

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)

    Thank you

  • You can download a trial of Windows 7 Home Premium?

You have a free trial version for Windows7 Home premium 64-bit... ???
    THX

No, there is no trial version of Windows 7 Home Premium, but nothing prevents you from using the 30-day grace period available when you install Windows 7 Home Premium to a true DVD without a product key.

If you want to evaluate Windows 7 Home Premium for an extended period, reset you it 3 times.

    Click Start, type: cmd
Click with the right button on CMD, click Run as administrator
At the command prompt, type: slmgr-rearm

    Press enter on your keyboard

If you do not have a DVD Windows 7 Home Premium, the next option is to download the free Windows 7 Enterprise 90-day trial, it offers all the features of Windows 7 Home Premium, you need to enable some of them however.

When you install it, click Start, type: enable or disable windows features
    Press enter on your keyboard
    Check the following:
    -Games
-Develop features of media and check 'Media Center

Windows 7 Enterprise 90 trial - select Pro when asked for your history:

  • Impossible to change the product key for Windows 7 Home Premium after having received notification that Windows is not geniune

I have no idea how the product key has been changed to my OS to an OEM_SLP as I have the genuine key supplied with the system on the COA label.

I bought this system through Best Buy and today I received a notice that it uses a non-genuine version of Windows 7 Home Premium, but when I noticed the wrong product key, I have been unable to return to the good pair through my computer properties in the Activation of Windows.

How can I update the product key without having to uninstall/reinstall?

It's been over 4 months since you posted first - but try this...

If KB3004394 is installed, uninstall it and reboot twice.

Do a check of updates and install the new version of KB3004394 and other updates.

restart again, run a new report MGADiag and post it.

I'm afraid that someone will end you in completely in the wrong direction on this. The recovery media is probably completely OK.

The HP SLIC has absolutely nothing to do with the windows you are trying to install, but stands in the BIOS of the laptop. Someone hacked the BIOS Acer to tell windows antifeatures of piracy which is HP laptop, presumably so that they could use HP media instead. Reinstalling Windows will not fix the BIOS.

All I can suggest is to download the Acer BIOS update files and try and install one to replace the SLIC entry. There is however 2 caveats to that. 1stly that the damaged area is not always included in the files to update the standard BIOS, so if you can run a BIOS update may not solve the problem. 2ndly some BIOS update programs you cannot install an older than the currently installed BIOS and one that fits in a first time (because it can be complete) would be the version original factory.

It's not all just Microsoft to blame for this issue when it was caused by someone trying to circumvent the measures to combat software piracy that any developer has the right to use. As said from your description that it is only a problem due to fraudulent activity.

Also when you are communicating on this forum you're not dealing with Microsoft, all the people here are voluntary and have no direct involvement with Microsoft to help posters like you.

  • I am upgrading to windows 7 Home premium to windows 7 Professional and have purchased a Microsoft key. When I followed the instructions at Anytime Upgrade it says it's the wrong key?

    Greetings,

I need to upgrade my ASUS laptop which is running Windows 7 Home Premium, fully licensed and the COA sticker. I went to the Microsoft site upgrade Express and bought a key specifically to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional W7HP.

When he proceeds to upgrade the message says that I have an incorrect key. I tried the automatic upgrade indicated by the purchase of Microsoft site and also by running the Express upgrade and manually enter the key from the email sent to me by Microsoft.

Here's the MGADiag report for my system:

Thank you for that. I did some more research on the forums then rebooted my machine. The installation is completed successfully. I think that Microsoft should focus on this. Very confusing tell them that this is a key issue when all that is needed is the machine to be restarted. Thanks for your help anyway. See you soon

I tried to turn on but got the error "failure of software license assessment. I tried all the suggestions on this site and others and all give the same result, that is to say nothing happens. The command doesn't do anything and even with 4 sliu at the end is supposed to give the possibility to call me soft, no it's not, there is no option to call anywhere at all in the window that appears. So far, I've been unable to get ANY help from me soft to me soft (thanks for all the sod). I don't have a sticker on my pc and the company that sold inform me that as it was more than 18 months ago, they no longer offer support ref because he and it will cost a minimum of £100 to help me, seems a new copy of Windows 7 is cheaper, but I ain't buying jack *. I paid in good faith this copy and categorically refuse to pay again. Question is how can I activate his cpy WITHOUT paying a penny to Mr. Gates greedy and his minions? It's exceptionally bad QA for the Novatech I knew :(

The COA sticker is difficult to read, in the best cases-, here's my usual message on the subject oftem...

0xC004F050 usually means that you have misinterpreted a character - C/G or B/8 or Y/V are the most common.

    Please note that the following characters cannot be used - A E I L N O S U Z 1 0 - so don't bother trying unless you like noise it does :)

    an O/0 is almost always a Q
