Reboot hp laptop friends g61

can I use the system disks I bought with my hp g61 laptop, restart / reinstall / recover the computer laptop hp g61 of my friend? is there a problem with the product key? Thank you

If they are the same g61 model numbers, then Yes you can.  With regard to the product key from the recovery media uses a generic HP product key and you should not need to enter a key.  If it does not prompt you to a key, you must use your product key from friends.

  • How can I get an another vista disk to reboot my laptop

    Hi all

I had a system crash about a year because of a virus and a friend wiped my laptop and installed xp saying it was better than vista.

However, I had nothing but bother with him for about 6 months now, it's just doesn't work the same and of course I can't update the system either.

I hunted for the vista disk provided with the laptop but I can not find them anywhere and it will cost me a small fortune for a store to reinstall vista for me even if I have my product key.

Is there anyway that I can get this disk from toshiba or Microsoft to reinstall?

    Thank you

  • Replacing motherboard computer laptop friends and Windows 7

I am trying to replace a very faulty motherboard on the Acer Aspire 5736z laptop from a friend and I'm worried if it will activate windows 7 properly, the motherboard is the same as defective. Given that the license key is at the bottom of the laptop, I guess that windows is reinstalled on the machine. My friend has insufficient funds to get a new copy of Windows 7.

    If this is a defect and that you are able to get an exact replacement, it must activate. You can still use the phone activation;

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • M100 satellite disk restore will not work, keeps on rebooting the laptop

    Hello

I have a M100 I need to restore to out of box state. XP is running too slow and after getting some internet pop ups of facebook, the laptop is having issues.

Now, I tried to run the program of restoration of the drive and it happens with ramdisk boot, then the f6 press to install an aditional drivers, then wait.
The mouse cursor appears on the screen and it can be moved around, then the laptop restarts just.

I tried this several times and with main power and with and without the battery while on the grid.

I suspected it was a problem of hard disk or a boot sector virus, which prevents the program of restoration of the race. However, I tried a new hard drive and it still does the same thing.
I changed the RAM and still does not. About a year or two ago I had to restore the laptop as the HARD drive died and I replaced it with another hard drive on a different Toshiba laptop and it worked fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need this laptop for school

    Thank you

    Hello

Sorry, but one thing in this story is strange. Why load additional driver?

If you want to have out of the box to install OS, you must use the Toshiba CD/DVD facilities sent. Using this disk, you do not need to load anything, just start the recovery procedure, let it run and when you're done just restart your laptop. That all s that you do.

So, if you have this original Toshiba drive please do as follow:
Start your laptop and press F12 repeatedly
When the boot menu appears recovery disc into the optical disc drive
In the list, choose the CD/DVD device and press ENTER
Follow the menu on the screen

    Hello

One thing to check is the following.

Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

When windows has reloaded, you may or may not need to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall your original Audio driver as it is stated in the document at the link below.

  • screen of laptop HP G61-631 NR says "Bootmgr is missing".

You use Windows 7, the display shows "Bootmgr missing", how can I fix this problem?

    Hello

    Try the following.

If you do not, use another PC to create a rescue CD Windows 7.  Download the ISO relevant among the links below - if you are not sure of the version, try the first 64 bit option.

    Windows 7 32 bit

    Windows 7 64 bit

You must use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn options) to burn the ISO to a CD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.

When creating, type following the ESC key as soon as you start the launch of the laptop Boot Menu, and then insert the rescue CD.  Select boot options (usually f9 ), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.  You can also get a prompt to "Press any key to" continuous - it if requested.

Select the "repair your computer" option and follow Option 2 in the guide on the link below to run the startup repair - you may need to run this 2 or 3 times.

If the above does not help, take note of any error message you get during the procedure and include them with your next post.

  • How to reboot my laptop?

  • I downloaded the same program 3 x today, rebooted my laptop... can't program here. Why?

Windows XP, computer older laptop was acting strangely.  I can download a program; the program works.  Turn off the laptop and no longer have the program.
    Why?

    Where is stored the program?

If you have a corrupted user profile, and then whenever you log on, Windows creates a new, temporary profile.  When you disconnect, the temporary profile is deleted and any files you have stored in this profile during this session.  The 'profile' would generally include files stored in C:\Documents and Settings\. (Including in 'My Documents')  A test for this condition would be to open a session as long as different user (create a new user if you have only one).  If this problem does not exist when logged in as a different user, can suspect a corrupted user profile.  Recovery is not too difficult.  Choose among the following:

"How to recover damaged Windows XP user profile"

"Windows XP problems if your profile is corrupted"

"How to copy data from a corrupted to a new profile in Windows XP user profile"

Corrupt profiles are almost always accompanied, if not caused, damaged drive.  After recovery, perform an operation of "chkdsk" with the /F or/r option to check a file system of the damaged disc.

"How to perform disk error in Windows XP check"

Another possibility is that Windows 'Steady State' has been installed on your machine.  If this is the new behavior, then this is unlikely.

    Hello

If a PC remove all power to the system:

Check and reinstall the cards, memory and actually delete and replace - cables (at both ends) are not
just tight. Memory could be the problem, so if you have more than 1 stick swap them in and out of
see if the problem follows a stick or try the new memory.

Check and reinstall the cards memory and cables (at both ends where possible) actually remove and
replace - do not just tight. On a laptop computer on all you can do is reinstall the memory and possibly check
the contacts/connection to the hard drive. Memory could be the problem, so if you have more than 1
stick swap them in and out to see if the problem follows a stick or try the new memory. Antivirus/anti-
spyware/security programs have been known to cause or have a role in this matter.

This may not work with all PCs but now try press CTRL, ALT AND arrow pointing UPWARDS at the same time and wait a few seconds. On some PC the CTRL-ALT-RIGHT to reactivate the screen video sideway. Press and hold these three keys CTRL - ALT-(and a direction of the ARROW) the screen will turn accordingly.
