receive an error code 41 on my two optical drives.

When in Device Manager it shows me error 41, but does not show me the fix. Am went to the OEM website, thinking that maybe I need drivers updated, but it says I have the latest drivers. Tried to disable, and then click Restart, and then activated. Did not work. Tried to uninstall, then restart, reinstalled, but also told me that the drivers have been installed, but no material was found. Even checked the boot order in the bios to make sure they were still on the list, they are. So now that?

Hi MaryStreeter,

-What is the brand and model of the optical readers that you use?

Error code 41: this problem occurs if you install a non-Plug-and-Play device driver, but Windows cannot find the device.
