Receiveing MAIL live mail but does not

I am temporarily on dial to the top and windows live mail receives my mail OK but don't send;   ID 0x800ccod, smtp, port 25, error 11004 socket protocol, ' Can' loocate server.

Windows 7 and everything was fine when I was on my dsl

One thing I see is the "connect using clear tet authentication."

The error you see almost always means that you made a mistake by entering the name of the server when you set up the account.

Please try again, this time click on the error message to select it, and then use, right click to copy and paste in your response here. When you see the full error message, we will probably be able to see what the problem is.

    I don't know if I have the same problem or not, on my iMac OSX 10.11.6. I'm afraid that mail which would have said that it is "Download" (and does not appear anywhere), is found in cyberspace somewhere!

    The formatting should be fixed now - the text has been added to a form HTML as such, became text packed - I see that this can be a problem if a large message formatting is used and changed the code to make it HTML itself and it will retain the formatting.

    Your comment "new users do not see even the workspace unless they go and change all my workspaces!" is not quite correct, because they will all have been sent a welcome to the enamel of the workspace and if they click on the name of workspace in the email, they will be taken directly to the overview page of the workspace.

    Well, my email has been working well for weeks... until a few hours ago.  I'm on a brand new Sony Vaio running Windows7.

    I use Windows Live Mail as my email client.  All of a sudden I recvd the error messages seen below.

    I have studied the problem and the solution.

    IF YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER IS
       
    ATT OR SBC GLOBAL
    AND YOUR EMAIL CLIENT IS
       WINDOWS LIVE MAIL
    AND YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM IS
     
    WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM
    AND IF YOU CAN RECEIVE MAIL
    CAN NOT SEND to MAIL
    BE SURE TO CHECK THE FOLLOWING SETTINGS:

    Outgoing (SMTP) server port should be 587
    and CHECK the box that says "my server requires authentication".
    Do NOT check the SSL box.

    Click APPLY at the bottom, and then close the Windows Live Mail program
    and then reopen it.  This should send messages in your Outbox (as appropriate).
    To speed up this process, you can click on the SYNC button on the MenuBar at the top of WML.

    If there are no messages to send, compose a new message and send it to yourself.
    You can click on SYNCHRONIZE to watch status box open and show you if it sends.
    Check also sent box and Inbox for sending TEST msg.

    * also, if you have been told by AT & T or SBC GLOBAL who to check your email on the internet you must go through Yahoo.com and enter your full e-mail (att.net OR sbcglobal.net) and enter your log in password, then your email POP3 and SMTP settings must also include the following:
     
      
    INCOMING (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com
    OUTBOUND (SMTP): mail.yahoo.com

    You have corruption of dbx files.
     
    Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and move the messages you want to record off deleted items, and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.
     
    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
     
    In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.
     
    With OE closed, find the Deleted Items.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files and delete them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.
     
    Compact all folders as described below.
     
    To avoid this in the future:
     
    Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.
     
    Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:

    After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

    Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes.     Sometimes, WinMail settings get screwed up and you must remove the account and then add it back back.  Make sure first that the antivirus software not interfere (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).   Delete your account completely, then close WinMail.  Then compact and repair the database of WinMail (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  Add your account to mail back once again, and then make sure you have the correct settings under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Servers and | Advanced to what AT & T Specifies to WinMail (or OE).  Then see if it works.

    The receiving mail server tells me after:

    503 5.5.0 < DATA >: data command rejected: improper use of the command pipelining SMTP;

    I thought it was related to the "of:" and "to:" after the DATA command, but this comment with a # did not help.

    EDIT: My guess is that the script just throws the whole mail on the mail server and do not wait it gets permission to send data part... rude boy!

  • Thunderbird seems to be corrupted, with a wide range of problems (e-mail folder does not open it, names of the attachments not displayed,...) CAUSE: McAfee Antivirus
