  • Glitch 2.0 Facebook on a Curve 9300 blackBerry Smartphones

Before addressing the problem, it should be noted:

I have a Curve 9300 on a 'Social Plan' offered by Telus... it was a promotional plan provided with the phone. This plan DOES NOT INCLUDE the USE OF DATA, but it does not give me unlimited use of pre-loaded social networking apps (this includes Facebook 1.6 or w.e it was, as well as BBM, Twitter and a few others which do not count).

Today, I decided to "upgrade" my Facebook 2.0 application. All attempts to logon are filled with this message: "we are unable to reach the Facebook server at this time. (0) »

    Can anyone help with this?

Another thing that should be noted is that I could not upgrade the application conventially, due to a problem, that I'm not sure. I uninstalled Facebook 1.6 and installed 2.0 since the App World Web site.

UPDATE: this forum has solved my problem:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/downloaded-applications-for/Facebook-2-0/m-p/1224945/HIGHLIGH...

Just restart the phone, remove the battery and reinsert it in phsically.

  • Why my Curve 9300 blackBerry Smartphones keep freeze

Why my BB Curve 9300 keep freezing?

It freezes all the time because you're out of the application memory.

I recommend you to install BlackBerry Desktop Software and do a full backup of the device. Then do a security Wipe. You can do the wipe by going into Options and type security wipe in the search bar. Do not include the media card, but include 3rd party applications. You can install those later via BBWorld.

When it's done, you can only restore the databases that you really need like e-mail, calendar, contacts, etc.

When you are all done to ensure that the media are registered in the media card. I recommend getting a much larger map in order to have room for photos and videos. You do not want the data stored on the device memory.

    No, it shouldn't.

This is a change from the simple option. Open your main messages folder > press the Menu key > Options > Inbox settings (or Inbox management) and you will see options to check or uncheck messages you want in the main folder Messages, or place a check of your primary e-mail address for these messages only streams to their own folder. Even with SMS, they can transfer it to your main Messages application or to their own folder.

So, if you want you can open your Facebook app > Options > and disable the setting to enable integration with your Messages application.

  • BlackBerry Curve 9300 blackBerry without output Chinese Smartphones

Hi, I bought a blackberry curve already, and I found that my phone can't output Chinese, when I received Chinese messages, it will become a lot of black squares, as I m a new blackberry user, I don't really know what I can do. Please tell me how to upgrade or install the Chinese language on my phone. THX!

    Hi chalai369,

    Welcome to the community,

If you have the Chinese in your device, you must download that include 'Whole language' or 'East Asia' OS pack from your carrier and then install it in you peripheral using the BB desktop software application loader, take a look on how to get a language pack.

  • WiFi blackBerry Smartphones Curve 9300 3 problem

    Hi, I recently got my first Blackberry - a 9300 3.

It seems impossible to connect to my home network via WiFi. I've implemented the BB with a manual setting that I have a non-broadcast SSID and password is correct. My router is a Netgear DG834GT. I have a laptop connected via WiFi so I don't know the router, WiFi & DSL is all operational.

I can sporadically, but not systematically, ping the router of the BB, but I can't ping a web address (for example google.com). I can't ping the BB from my PC, but an IP Scanner confirms that the BB is on the network.

My career has suggested a reboot, reinstall the firmware and turn WiFi off & on - everything I did.

I'm very knowledgeable PC, reasonably network aware, but a complete newbie to BB and smartphones.

    Any ideas?

Well, I've sorted - or rather Geek Squad pointed me the right direction.

It seems that the phone does not like the standard security WPA - PSK Protocol. While the router is recognized, the phone cannot communicate through the router.

Change the wireless security protocol on the router to WPA2-PSK has solved the problem. Of course, if you do this you must also change the Security Protocol on all your other devices on the wireless network, or else they may not work.

  • BBM blackBerry Curve 9300 blackberry Smartphones

My son has problems with his bbm, it cannot receive updates of status if it out of the battery and completely reboot his phone, his messages take a long time to send and receive, I have updated his phone, but still has not made a difference. is this a problem of bbm, he had only the phone 6 weeks at the most. Thank you very much

Quite honestly, updates of status BBM and contact photos can be slow to synchronize between the BBM servers sometimes. I've noticed this MANY posts on this forum for months of market. They will appear later.

If you want help with that, some users have said that to remove the BBM app and reinstall may help:

    1. First, back up your BBM contacts > open BBM app > press the Menu key > Options > backup > to Media Card (local).
    2. Go to Options > Advanced > Applications and find the BBM app, delete it.
    3. Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
    4. After reboot, use Explorer to go to www.blackberry.com/messenger and download/install again.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Ive just spent the last 4 hours trying to untangle the little sisters of my GF after that she has downloaded a theme that just froze EVERYTHING.

It's pretty simple, you need to do:

    1. remove the battery

2 reinsert the battery - but keep an eye on the LED on the top right

    3. when the LED turns off (after a few seconds) press ESC (the escape key is the the winding arrow to the right of the beach towel)

    4. keep the presses until the process on the start screen bar is complete.

    5. This will start the phone in "safe" mode Click OK in all messages telling you your in safe mode

    6. now go and delete this app wasted hours of your life trying to remove!

    Hope this helps

  • Smartphones Curve 8520 blackBerry started freezing

    Hello

    Can anyone help please.

My Curve 8520 freezes on start up. What happened was that my facebook app froze after that I tried to disconnect so I decided to re - start the phone and now it freezes 3/4 s at the beginning.

I tried to connect with my desktop software, it is recognized but does not completely connect so I can not connect with any of the function IE restore.

I tried to make a safe re-start but it always sticks to the same point.

If anyone can help I would really appreciate.

    Thank you

    Hello!

    Try the following:

Turn on your BlackBerry and your loading upto moving screen.

Then plug in your device to the charger and let it idol at least 3-4hours.

Sometimes BlackBerry OS takes time to repair automatically due to which your loading unit takes to go from the front of the loading of 3/4 bar.

Please have patience, and it will be done.

I hope that solves your problem!

If your problem has been resolved then would you be asked to click 'Like' and accept as a 'Solution' that other advisors invest it times on this Message more.

  • Buttons on Smartphones Curve 8520 blackBerry answers do not or do not do what they should

    Hi all!

My sister has a Blackberry Curve 8520 to the age of 6 months.  She dropped it in water and it no longer works.  I dried (in rice) and bought a new battery for it that the old man has failed.

The phone works and turns on.  However, whenever it is turned on, it displays the message ' eception exception: index 3 > = 3'.  To override what I have to press on enter on the keyboard.  This shows the main screen and all the links, news etc.  The trackball or 4 keys (power, call, etc.) do not respond when I try to press ok.  They all respond when the screen goes well.

The volume button does not work, but the button to camera but I can't leave it by pressing return.  I have to remove the battery.

In the journal of calls by pressing the 4 buttons, from left to right, shows Jk, yi, hl b nm.  Bring down that I have to take out the battery.

    If I try to get the IMEI number after you type the #, pressing on * # turns into 'Quo '.  Pressing SHIFT + a # after U, Alt + a = Q =.

    Is it fixable somehow?

    Thank you.

  • Smartphones Curve 8520 blackBerry keyboard unlocks randomly

My wife has just started using a Curve 8520 and it was for less than 1 month. In recent days, they phone began to free themselves at random. She uses the "A" button to lock the keyboard how the screen turns off (as it should be, in my view) and then after a minute or two, it unlocks and the screen turns back on.

Can anyone suggest something that we would have missed, or a reason for this behavior?

    See you soon!

Have you tried a reboot to try to cure? The power is turned on, remove the battery for a minute, then replace and allow power.

If this does not work, then try a reload of the OS.

Where is she doing to raise it when it is locked? In a Pocket? Pocket?
