• Need to reinstall windows, but does not have any CD - Satellite Pro L20

  Hi, I wanted to reinstall Windows XP home on my Satellite Pro L20, but do not have the software that my laptop came with (read the discs lost). I have a valid XP tone (like its stuck on the bottom of my laptop), but no disc so I tired using a copy of a cd of Windows XP home, which did not work, but let me go as far as the formatting of the hard drive.

  So now I use Ubuntu, but want to reinstall Windows. Have valid product key, but no software to reinstall.

  Valid key will not help you. This key belongs to the image recovery and copy included WXP he.

  Make sure the authentication IEEE 802. 1 x wireless card is disabled, and check if that helps.

  c. right click on the wireless network connection iconand select Properties.
  d. click the Wireless Network tab
  e. click on the Properties button next to remove it.
  f. click on the authentication tab, and clear the enable IEEE 802. 1 x authentication for this network check box.

  Step 1:

  First of all, I suggest that you enable the default administrator on the computer and check.

  To activate the default Administrator account, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start and type CMD in the start search box

  2. right click on CMD in the list and click "Run as Administrator"

  3. type the following command: net user administrator / Active: Yes

  If it works then it could be a problem with the damaged user profile, go to step 3.

  Step 2:

  I suggest that you turn off user account temporary on the computer and check if you are able to change the time settings on the computer Internet or not.

  1. click on start.

  2. click on Control Panel.

  3. click on user accounts.

  4. click on change user account settings.

  5. drag the slider to never notify.

  6. click on OK.

  Now check if you are able to change the settings, if the issue is resolved, I suggest you turn back to normal user account settings.

  Step 3:

  If the problem persists, I recommend that you temporarily disable the security software and firewall in the security software on the computer and check.

  Make sure that you enable the security software on the computer.

  If the problem persists, I suggest that you create a new user profile on the computer and check because this could be a problem with the profile of the user.

• Windows XP do not haver permission to access Windows 7

  I have three computers on the network with a wireless router.

  Computer 1: Windows 7 - Wired
  Computer 2: Windows 7 - wireless
  Computer 3: Windows XP - wireless
  Virtual computer: Windows XP running on computer 1

  Everything worked perfectly well until recently. Now 3 computer cannot access computer 1 and the following error message
  "1 \\Computer is not accessible. You are not allowed to access the network resource. "Contact the administrator... etc.

  No network changes have been made on all computers. All the computers are on the same workgroup and 3 computer can access the Working Group and display all computers, it can access 2 the computer and the virtual machine, it can also ping Computer1.
