When I go into control panel--> sound and devices Audio---> it is said that no. AUDIO DEVICE

Then I go to control panel to control---> system---> hardware---> device---> sound, video management and game controllers---> I found a yellow question mark beside: MICROSOFT KERNEL annuleur of ACOUSTIC ECHO and another question mark yellow right next to: MICROSOFT KERNEL WAVE AUDIO MIXER.

I then right click on each of these drivers and tried to update the two drivers (I've tried insert the recovery disk (it is the only drive that I got when I bought this laptop) and also I tried to install the software automatically, but these two options did not work.)

Please tell what should I do now?  Already, I went to the HP site and looked for these two materials for a update but had no luck...

  • "Other devices" yellow question marks

In my quest to have sound on my computer, I noticed that everything on my "Other devices" tab in "Device Manager" has the yellow question mark next to them. I have a "Biometric coprocessor" "Network controller" "Controller of Bus SM" and a "Unknown device" tab listed here. Should I be concerned by these? And, if so, is this another driver issue, as if the sound was? Thank you for your time and this is my specifics.

    This table can help you.

You can also try to identify the device in Device Manager on the "details" - tab of each device in the "Device instance ID".

If there is an ID as "PCI\VEN_yyyy & DEV_xxxx... "entry"xxxx"in the right field imput on www.pcidatabase.com

In the result list to compare the "yyyy" (above) with the VEN ID and then you have found the name of the device.

Other/similar "device instance ID" starting with 'USB '.... ' or 'ACPI' you will find in the table I linked above.

    Drivers you can find here

  • In Device Manager, OTHER DEVICES has yellow question mark

I always have problems with sudden black screens with auto restart.  It has been suggested that I get a new video driver, so I went into Device Manager, and since there is no list for video devices, I looked in the other devices section (which has PCI Simple Communications Controller, SM Bus controller, video controller, and video controller - compatible VGA) there is a yellow question mark next to each one.  I opened each of them and read, "Unknown manufacturer", and "the drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28) ' how to find who is the manufacturer and model and the version?

It might be true that it doesn't work with Windows 7, I never said it would work with Windows 7 (it's the XP forum, don't forget!) but there may be something similar.  Since WIndows 7 is so wunnerfool, they just left that have a completely since there must be no need for this.

99% of the things on which I work is some flavor of Windows Server, XP or Citrix and haven't seen nobody wants to even consider moving their campus everything to Windows 7 and I do not see happening any time soon!  It is not in their plans at all.

I support a handful of populous (just a few) who have systems that require Windows 7 for some features and other things though, but they are just itty bitty compared to the basic XP installed.

  • Satellite A200 - Win 8.1: Mass storage controller yellow question mark

    Hello

After the installation of win 8.1 in old Toshiba A200 - everything is ok except the yellow question mark in "Mass storage controller" in Device Manager. So the sd card reader is useless.

Have an idea that is the driver for Win 8.1?

    Hello

Please don't get me wrong, but I hope you know how old is A200. Even more recent machines are not supported for Win8.
So, I can understand that you want to use newer OS on this old piece of hardware and if most of the stuff works pretty well, you should be satisfied.
In this case when you use 8 years machine designed for Vista and certainly not taken in charge for Win8/Win8.1... who cares about SD card reader. You know what I mean? ;)

Just disable the device in Device Manager and be happy.

  • Acrobat Reader plugin signature yellow question mark

I develop a plugin for digital signature (mainly for the reader but should work as well in Acrobat format). I have a basic proof of concept works, with the signing and verification and custom signature appearance, but I am getting a yellow question mark great displayed behind my appearance.

I've seen other posts on this forum who suggested the certificate must be approved, but I did and I always get the question mark.

What could I do it wrong? What should I do to make the question mark disappears?

(I'm in dev/test with Acrobat Reader DC and a certificate self-signed on Windows 10.)

Answered my own question (with a little help from this forum and the good people at Adobe):

Forum: "the multilayer model for appearances of digital signature in PDF format has been deprecated and is no longer part of the ISO standard for PDF (ISO 32000 - 1).»

The value default, kindly added by Acrobat/Reader, for the layer of n1, if I do not set anything, is this big ol' ' point yellow question mark. The solution is simply to make optional the L1 layer and the question mark disappears.

  • 'no audio device' have more noise

Driver high definition audio KB835221 has error code 10

You can also try the Microsoft Fixit for Audio playback.

  • Small box with yellow question mark!

I downloaded pictures from iPhoto via documents.  Imported OK, but have since deleted documents images and now when to access the images (in items 11) 'missing file' message and small box with a question mark in it in the upper left corner.  Guess I'd not deleted documents?  Situation is recoverable?

    Thanks Maz

You are right.  You remove all the photos from its original location.

The import function simply creates links to your photos for Organizer to find them quickly.

It is may be recoverable.  In windows, they must be in your trash or the "trash".    T #Just open the tray and select all the files using Windows Explorer and then right click and follow the instructions.  You must restore the files to their original location.

    Good luck.

  • Satellite A100 good question - point yellow question mark in Device Manager

I have a Satellite A100, model PSAANC - 3605C. I reloaded Windows XP Professional on this subject recently, and now I am unable to get any sound (it worked before reloading). If I choose Start, accessories, entertainment, Volume, it tells me that there is no active mixers available. I tried to reload the chipset and different audio drivers, including the UAA driver, still no luck.

In addition, in my device manager I have a PCI device that shows as not available (point), and I'm unable to load a driver for him. What Miss me? How can I get my sound back?

    > I recently rebooted Windows XP Professional on this topic, and now I am unable to get any sound (it worked before reloading)

Hey mate I got exactly the same problem after installing Win XP.
    I could solve it.

I updated Windows XP to the State. I installed SP3 because this package contains the necessary corrective measures.

Important: The SP3 must be installed before the sound driver!
If you have installed the audio driver, you must first remove it! This can be done in Device Manager

I did it and it worked.

  • Recently inslatted Windows XP, do not have Internet, have yellow question mark points on internet controller

recently installed windows xp, now I can't connect to internet because of controller of the Internet and other devices with no driver, how do install it drivers on the computer programs to search for if I can't use internet?

If you cannot access to the use of the internet, another computer and save the driver on a CD/DVD/card reader, transfer it to the computer.

    Download drivers

Visit the manufacturer's Web site and select your computer model (this is usually done in the Support section). You should be able to download drivers for your model if they have drivers you are your version of Windows. Download the driver (s) and follow the instructions to install - every computer is different, so I can't give you exact directions.
