  • Connection 2 screens & Ethernet 2 Ports of 15 "rMBP Thunderbolt

I have a mid-2012 15 "MacBook Pro w / Retina display.  I look at my desktop configuration using a Henge Vertical Docking Station for reclamation.  The Henge dock uses only the ports on the left side of my MacBook (power, lightning X 2, USB and audio).

I would like to connect 2 existing Samsung monitors (w / HDMI), Ethernet and a USB 3.0 hub 4 existing ports using only the ports on the left side of my macbook.  Is this possible to do with a kind of simple ethernet-Thunderbolt display separator, or I have to buy an expensive 'dock thunderbolt"as the Belkin Thunderbolt 2 HD Express Dock in order to make this configuration works?

    Thanks in advance!

Apple made the USB-to-Ethernet adapter a bit slower that can make Ethernet 100BaseT. As long as you don't plan the transfer of large files to other computers on your local network, it would work and seems to fit all the ports you need.

  • HD DVD playback choppy on the Satellite X 200

I have improved my displaydriver on my Satellite X 200 and after the upgrade the HD-DVD movies are not played correctly. They are unstable and hard disks are constantly working... I didn't have this problem before the upgrade... Is it possible to roll back to the previous driver?

Have you installed latest Toshiba download page display driver?

I no a lot of experience with problems of HD DVD, but you can try to install the last HD DVD drive for your laptop model. If nothing is done maybe you can do the new reclamation facility. I know it's not absolutely radical but it will set your laptop to factory again.

  • iMac buying tips - logic user

I bought an iMac mid 2007 refurbished in 2008 that I use mainly for house music production using Logic Studio (Logic Pro 8) running on Lion since it is the last OS that will run this old version of the logic (and I remember having to do a hack to run the Lion). Suffice it to say, I got my money out of this little girl and he did have a problem of unique material over time, I've owned. I can't say the same for the MacBook that I've owned, although my wife Air was good.

Anyway, Lion is coming to grips with the real life soon, so I'm thinking the following (and money is an issue, kid in College and another one soon).

    (1) keep my old box until it is unusable; Logic Pro X upgrade (including hardware drivers) and install El Capitan (not sure the order of preference for install).

    (2) research at the lowest cost 2013 + refurbished i5 (which will probably be more memory space and the disk than mine and certainly more CPU power than my old iMac) and upgrade from Logic Pro X and El Capitan.

    (3) buy a renovated October 2015 + i7 with the best car (merger or SSD), more memory (16 GB, 32 GB, perhaps) and install Logic Pro X.

Well duh, #3, right? more bigger, better, cooler... that come with an extra price of the unfortunate woman, not so simple. The other thing is that I have the overall impression that quality of Apple is not the same as it was with my mid-2007 because of my experience with Macbook breakdowns. As more electronic, that much is to blame on cheap Chinese part. If I had high confidence that I would get eight years on the new, then #3 is the clear way ahead. If these are made in Ireland? Where is reclamation made?

If I get less than 5 years on a new, then #2 seems the way to go. And #1 is the frugal route.

    Thoughts?

  • Install Windows on a disk wiping

I recently bought two refurbished HP computers to office. I have a full version of Windows Vista and a Windows 7 upgrade, but when I install software vista on a machine, it seems to start loading after taking the product key, but then stops, saying that the file is corrupted and it gives an Ox80070017 error code, I understand not that maybe it's some kind of conflict with the software which had initially been charged prior to reclamation. Do I need to buy HP OEM software to load on the computer or my original vista software has been corrupted and any Windows software should do the job?

Better to use an image from HP but no installation cd will work if you have the product code.  The only thing is that it may not be the right resolution or the sound if you need to get the drivers one by one after installation.  Windows is somewhat automatically others you must hunt.

  • Satellite M50 suddenly does not work

I wonder if anyone can help?
My Satellite M50 seems to have a number of very important issues:

On booting, I hear a note very acute and rather than go automatically in Windows XP, I gives me a choice of F2 (Set Up) or F12 (Menu I think it is called). If I hit the button enter the noise goes and go into Windows XP as usual.

However, I can't sound on the Satellite, either from a CD or a DVD inserted or a live video or
audio clip. I checked the control panel and audio is not muted.

Also, my 'e' character on the laptop does not register (press and no character comes on screen - I have to fix a new keyboard to the laptop to use the letter "e") BUT in Excel or when I put in a URL, I often get a complete line after the rank of the character "e" (without warning) that stops if I press the button "Esc".

I don't know if I was infected by a virus (I have Avira AntiVir Personal) & Malaware programs on the laptop, but I would be grateful for any help on this problem.

    See you soon!

    Bryan

    Hello

    I think it s a keyboard problem.
The sound that appears at the beginning of the startup procedure means that a hardware failure has been detected.
In my opinion it s related to the keyboard, since you have no keyboard under Windows OS functionality.
So I would get in touch with ASP in your country and to order a new keyboard for the replacement.

    Regarding the sound issue.
I don't know what that might be, but actually the first step should be an update of the driver or a new installation.
Check if there is no yellow/reclamation brand that reffers to the sound card!

    See you soon

  • Satellite P100: BSOD nv4_disp infinite loop playing a game

    Hello

I hope you can see my details of my profiling system, but in case you can't, here are the basic details:

    Satellite P100-113; 2x2.0GHz; 2 GB of memory; XP Pro SP3. Go 7600 256 MB - factory core/mem speed 350 / 400 MHz - no overclocking.
Out of warranty: purchased as a plant-reclamation in 2006. No problem at all until this - great machine!

I tried for 2 weeks to resolve the formidable 'in nv4_disp infinite loop' blue screen of the problem of death, which occurs when playing company of Heroes Opposing Fronts (COHOF). Original COH has always run without any problem.

I think I tracked down what is happening. Using RivaTuner, I took a log of data GPU, both in the general use of Windows and by practicing a COHOF game. I had just downloaded a "fix" claimed this infinite loop problem; referenced in the nvidia forum.
I think it was the only reason that the game did not plant this time, so that I could look at the newspaper. But this has not yet resolved the problem.

What is clear, according to the journal of Riva, it's the GPU speeds are usually 0/0 on Windows. Then, every few minutes, he crawls up to something like 198/135, for only 10-20 seconds and then again. This, in my opinion, has always happened, because it is accompanied by a rapid acceleration of the fan and a "sigh" to air for a few seconds. The machine has always done since I bought it, and it is not a problem in normal conditions (i.e. not game) use.

But here'w what happened in the game. After playing about 30 minutes (I noted earlier), the game suddenly stuttered horribly, so I thought it might be breaking. FPS increased from typical of 30-40 something like 0.5 to 2 FPS. And this continued for another 15 minutes (I went to play, with gritted teeth, in order to obtain good log data).

Looking at the newspaper of Riva, what happened at that time was one of these speed GPU rampdowns: down 351/398 expected 198/198 - just for about 15 seconds, then go back to the top to 351/398. Given that the "infinite loop" error includes a description "device driver entered an infinite loop waiting for the material to answer", I am fairly certain that it is the cause of the infinite loop BSOD: If the GPU suddenly decides to run at reduced speed in half, under heavy load (COHOF has often been described as the ultimate stress-test system) , you expect this kind of error occurs. I suspect that this is the point to which I would have had a crash "infinite loop" - but perhaps the 'fix', I downloaded caught the ball and prevented the usual total crash.

Temperature: absolutely perfect. I use a Zalman cooler under the machine. Riva reports temperatures GPU 51 c (idle), maxing out at a constant C 66-68 without crampons (load, COHOF). So, my driver unless (I tried 84.4 - later, Toshiba or 91.33, 156.13, 164 something laptopvideo2go.com) is a misinterpretation of the temperature data and imagine that the card needs to be rested (because the driver thinks, it's hitting the ceiling of 115 HP.), is not an overheating problem.

The fact that go up and down this rise has always happen, even with the original drivers installed at the factory from Toshiba (the regular intermittent fan 'sighs') makes me think that this is part of Toshiba design for integration of the Go 7600 in this machine. Perhaps something of the power management, or to extend the life of the chip. (I have all the settings of power-mgmt software I can find the value "grass of the battery, give me performance", since I usually use the machine plugged).

Now, it of very well under Windows, does not cause problems. But he won't. The GPU is ramping down, without apparent reason, while COHOF is throwing a huge workload on it.

    Issues related to the:
    1. How can I disable this behavior ramp - at least temporarily to play COHOF? I've never heard of a GPU accelerates its speed goes up and down depending on the load, so I doubt it's problem of nVidia.
    2. can I get an updated driver for this machine? The most recent is 84.4.0. Of course, it is possible to download drivers from laptopvideo2go.com modded-, but I suspect that these pilots to leave out some specific Toshiba 'magical' that manages the specific details of this card in this machine. (p. ex. or SpeedFan and Riva can detect any fans in my system, which suggests that Toshiba took control of the fan "under the hood" somehow).
    3. where can I get an update BIOS/firmware for the Go 7600? You can find anything on the net, apart from that!

Looks like I need to take this with a hardcore of Toshiba tech (I don't know if Toshiba supports log on this forum); But if someone reads this and has a time "click - I know that this", please post some ideas as to what I can do.

    Hey Buddy

It seems that this Toshiba forum is only a user forum, and it seems there are only Toshiba users here and not technicians.

In any case if I understand you problem described in your long ad, the graphic issue appears only this specific game (company of Heroes Opposing Fronts).

In my opinion, the graphics driver is not fully compatible with this game or your game does not support the nVidia Driver
So it s not a problem with the laptops hardware, but compatibility issues between the two parties game<->graphics driver software

I think a graphics driver update (if available) might help.

Here are my responses regarding the points:

    (1) as I said above, I think that the graphics driver update might help to
    (2) according to my experience, all the latest drivers graphics (and other drivers) are published on the Toshiba driver website
    (3) you can find only a Toshiba BIOS on the Toshiba driver page. BIOS or firmware update graphic card is unknown to me and to be honest I don t think it would exist.

    See you soon

  • Satellite L750 freezes constantly and often does not wake from sleep

    Hello

    I have laptop Toshiba Satellite L750 - 1 L 8 with Windows 7 Home Premium x 64,.

Since I have (about a year and a half), it freezes sometimes that I use and often not waking sleep of form. The symptoms are the same in both situations: nothing does, CTRL + ALT + DELETE does not work and there is no further assistance as the ' down in now the starter for 3 sec button. Until recently, it freezes only occasionally, but now this, so that each half-hour, which makes the computer unusable.

When I tried the reclamation, the Toshiba service responded that the problem is in the software, so not included in the warranty and that the windows must be reinstalled.

I did and he recovered to the factory setting, but even if the problem persists even in the authorized computer. It freezes again at least every hour.

I don't really know that the cause could be now and I hope that someone could know and help.

    Thank you

    > I did and he recovered to the factory setting, but even if the problem persists even in the authorized computer. It freezes again at least every hour.

Do you mean that the system hangs when using the laptop?
    This is definitely not good.

Have you noticed a higher internal temperature?
High temperature might affect systems and could lead to such outputs black system.
In case you never clean the cooling fans in the past, I recommend you to use a jet of compressed air and remove dust from the air vents.

With regard to the question of the sleep mode:
In this case, you should check if the BIOS is updated. In case of BIOS version more recent has been published, you should try a BIOS update

  • No wireless on HP 6 series Pavilion laptop running windows 7

    Hello

Last week, my laptop has stopped working on my wifi network - had been working well for months.  All other dievices in the House (smart tv, macbook, iPhone and laptop anpother) connect all of them very well in wifi.

Initial mistake took end/reclamation brand wii ybom despite information networks saying connected.

Internet access would be approximately 5 minutes, then cut.

I looked through other forums and found suggestions ot run ipconfig for more details and also uninstall device drivers and forget the networks.

I tried all this and even set a static IP address for the pc, but nothing did.  I checked the wifi card and everything seems ok.

I had changed on the channel of the router to improve performance but it was a week ago and pc was working fine - I returned to see if tht stopped the question, but he will not always keep a constant connection as default.

Laptop to connect to the internet via a direct ethernet connection into the router, but no wireless connection cannot be held.

All this, so ideas such as my PC knowledge is basic to say the least - would appreciate expert advice.

    Hello

Let me know if it works, if yes, then it could be the wireless card.

  • Think of a T410 laptop, is it useful?

    Hey there.

I recently bought a laptop T61 used; GPU from Intel, Intel T7500 2.2 GHz, 4 GB of ram and a 14 "4:3 1400 x 1050 screen. I added a 128 GB SSD and configure the BIOS middletom SATA2 support. I also have Win8.1 64 bit that works very well wait for BSOD because of the card wifi not supported, but there is a new one with propper driver support on its way.

This installation cost me about $265 (with the new SSD) + $10 for the new WIFI card.

This configuration seems fine but recently someone gave me a T410 laptop and I don't know if I should get it and use instead the T61.

    The T410 specifications are:

    i5 520 (2.4 GHz)
    8 GB RAM
Intel SSD 320 (300 GB, the guy says it's over 1 year)
    display 1440 x 900
battery 9 cells which lasts about 3-4 hours

He has supposedly no longer use it as much as his work has got him a newer laptop.

He initially asked $700 for it, but fell to $575.

I use the laptop for the school (computer science) for the 8 GB of ram can be useful when you use Visual Studio. What do you think guys?

    See you soon.

I have ordered many ThinkPads from abroad, especially if I find a model I'm missing from my collection, but also in bulk purchases for reclamation. Great deals to be found and some big sellers too.

Remember, there are no customs on computers here in Iceland, only VSK, is usually a better deal to bring them abroad than to buy a 2nd hand ThinkPad here, same with added postage and said VSK. (VAT in English).
