  I downloaded El Capitan and the installation seemed like it went well. Until the progress on restarting bar has reached about 80% and sat stagnant for hours. I tried for many suggestions from community forums. I tried to start in safe mode, it will not actually do. This hampers on this same progress bar. I started by using cmd + r and ran first aid on the hard drive. Everything came back fine. I tried to reinstall in this same Cmd + menu of r, did not help.
