Reclassification of Mavericks in El Capitan - Will it effect my CS6 products?

I'm interested to know if someone has completed the upgrade of the Mavericks to El Capitan on the platform Apple and Adobe own Premium CS6 (Photoshop, AF, Illustrator, etc.).  I also have Lightroom 5.

Before examining the upgrade, I wanted to know if the version of Adobe I will work without problem on El Capitan.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

E

Hi Webesco,

There are many users who have updated to El Capitan, and the Applications work on.

Also, please see the following article: Mac OS X El Capitan (10.11) Compatibility FAQ | CC

Let me know if it helps.

Kind regards

Tanuj

  • No problem of reclassification of Maverick in El Capitan

Must what members experience reclassification of Mavericks at El Capitan? It is worth?

Reclassification of Mavericks in El Capitan, this isn't a problem. Whether or not it is worth depends on what you like and if you need the features provided by El Capitan, which is not provided by the Mavericks.

However, make sure that your applications are compatible. At least 4Gig memory. If you intend to continue using iPhoto, make sure that you update to the latest version 9.6.1.

IF you have another disk, you might install on test and try it first. It is perhaps the best way to go.

Anyway, have a good Time Machine backup in case you want to restore.

  • Reclassification of Mavericks in El Capitan

    Hello

Other cloning my Mac HD (Mavericks) before continuing, there are other specific action, I must take before installing the upgrade on El Capitan?

    Thank you

    Gary

    1. Fix the hard disk and permissions.
    2. Updated all third party applications to ensure compatibility with El Capitan if required - see compatibility App - RoaringApps table.
    3. Back up your data. Or use the disk utility's restore option to clone your system to a backup drive.
    4. Verify that the backup is where it should be. If you cloned verify that the clone will start the computer.
    5. Download El Capitan from the App Store.
    6. Before you install, make a copy of the installer to ensure the guard.
    7. install El Capitan.
  • El Capitan will not install. Error message "file system check or repair a failure." Had to reboot with the snow leopard disc.  Any suggestion what happens?

Trying to upgrade Snow Leopard to El Capitan.  El Capitan will not install.  Get the error message "failed to file system verify or repair.  Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again. "After Setup could not restart without using the Snow Leopard disc (then to download all updates for Snow Leopard).  I tried reinstall and same results.  (in fact made three times)  I'm back to Snow Leopard 10.6.8... Any ideas what is happening.

  • Body of the email missing after the upgrade of the Mavericks in El Capitan

I upgraded from the Mavericks to El Capitan today and although my Inbox lists my emails in a column on the left, the body of the message is missing. I have double-clicked on the messages and still get nothing. In addition, all of my sent mail disappeared and there is that nothing that is listed. I checked the pane accounts and my account is activated and all others are disabled. Any help would be appreciated.

    Try the following:

    1. Abandonment of post
    2. Move ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail to the desktop.
    3. Restart the messaging
    4. If Mail is not working properly, remove the com.apple.mail you had previously moved on the desktop.
  • My Macbook Pro, El Capitan will not recognize my ipod classic 30 GB, but my windows 7 laptop work done!

My Macbook 2010 installed pro that el capitan will recognize not my 30 GB classic ipod, but my work Windows 7 once laptop I installed iTunes does! Great, I thought, I'll reset the iPod to FACTORY DEFAULTS and clean and I hoped that my Mac would then see the ipod, but NO, not even appear in disk management. Have now tried 3 or poss 4 duct, which is a brand new 'authentic apple' one. It's really annoying. My iPhone 6 works fine, but I want the iPod when I run in the rain and connect to the older stereo on the truck. It seems that nothing wrong with the iPod itself, even if she had a replacement of the battery some time ago and worked fine since. He has never synchronized with my Macbook. I tried before El Capitan and several times since getting the laptop last year with Yosemite installed.

Of course, I followed the Apple Support Troubleshooting, which basically is useless in this case. I have the latest version of iTunes, recently updated.

Can someone please help! I am obsessed and really want to work. I love my iPod classic and will use it and get the case has been refurbished. It seems that historically there was a * of a lot of problems of this kind, has everyone just gave up and put their iPod to their phones in a cell?

Any help would be appreciated. He drives me crazy and I googled all out.

Has been one of the things you tried to put the iPod in Disk Mode?

Put the iPod in disk - Apple Support Mode

Is "Disk Manager" the pre-installation disk utility application?

If you put in Disk Mode and connect, it acts as a simple USB storage device, so it should appear at least in disk utility.

  • El Capitan will never support a Microtek ScanMaker X 12 USL?

When will you update this ugly OS so people can use scanners that worked with Yosemite?

I'm fed up with El Capitan. All I want to do is be able to reuse my Microtek ScanMaker X 12 USL. It worked very well with Yosemite and Vuescan has issued software for ScanMaker X 12 USL. That makes me a lot of good for El Capitan will not recognize the scanner. Microtek not much help, either. They no longer support the X 12 USL and are not offers an updated driver.

I don't not even in headaches that el Capitan made me on my computer at home.

Operating systems do not provide 'support' for the devices. It is the opposite.

If Microtek will not update the driver, it will never work with El Capitan. Apple is not write drivers for third-party software. Apple is just the third-party drivers available on the update servers.

  • CS6 products will be cross platform?

The only thing holding me to purchase a creative suite package is obsolete platform policy. CS6 products will be multiplatform as Lightroom 4?

Hi Anders, for some clients now CS5 is already cross-platform...  We'll see on CS6.

  • Will be upgrade to my old MacBook Pro of Mavericks in El Capitan speed things up? If this is not the case, how to restore?

My trusty old MBP (15-inch, mid 2009; Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo; Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3; Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB / 9600M GT 512 MB; Software  OS X 10.9.5 (13F1134); positively ancient, I know!) is really gives me a hard time. And I don't even talking about video editing or other heavy work. No, simple processing, navigation, etc. ; the kind of things that NEVER used put any strain on the girl. But nowadays, JEEZ!

So, can anyone advise? Upgrade to El Capitan would make things better or worse?

I did several drive repairs and checks - recovery mode - even a defrag with iDefrag (for what it's worth, right?), but still no luck. So, I'm of a mind that an update of the OS would be some new life to my dear old steed before I finally retire him when I can afford next year.

I'm just dreading that I'll make things worse! So, I can back up with Time Machine and then just return to Mavericks if the proverbial poop hits the fan?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

I think you need to check first on your system.   Download and install this application that will tell us something about what is happening to your system so slow.   http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck

  • El Capitan will not complete installation

I downloaded El Capitan and the installation seemed like it went well. Until the progress on restarting bar has reached about 80% and sat stagnant for hours. I tried for many suggestions from community forums. I tried to start in safe mode, it will not actually do. This hampers on this same progress bar. I started by using cmd + r and ran first aid on the hard drive. Everything came back fine. I tried to reinstall in this same Cmd + menu of r, did not help. I tried anything and everything I could find in the last 48 hours between work and what free time I had. I just wanted same day of Mavericks, because something I've tried to run required the most recent OS x is there a way I can just redo the whole download and install of El Capitan entirely? I have no idea of it might even be the cause. Everything went perfectly well and more a game requiring the upgrade.

It is on an iMac 2011 Middle 27 "is far beyond the system requirements.

First, update the firmware if you have not already: computers, which can be upgraded to use OS X Internet Recovery.

Restart the computer. Immediately after the chime, press Command + Option + R until a globe appears. The Utility Menu appears in 5 to 20 minutes. Be patient.

1 select in the Menu Utility disk utility and click on the button continue.

2 when loads of disk utility select the drive (entrance Out-bumpy) in the list to one side.

3 click the Partition tab in the main window of disk utility. A panel will fall.

    4. define the GUID partition scheme.

    5. set the type of Format Mac OS extended (journaled).

6 click apply, then wait for the done button to activate.

7 to exit and return to the Menu Utility disk utility.

8 Select reinstall OS X and click on the button continue.

  • If I move from Mavericks to El Capitan iMovie and iPhoto still works?

I need to know if iMovie projects and the iPhoto library will always be OK if I'm moving to El Capitan of Mavericks (10.9.5)

Before the upgrade, check out the App Store purchases to make sure tab iMovie and iPhoto are in your purchases. If so, there will be updates of programs. The two programs will work in El Capitan. Latest version of iMovie is 10.1.1 and latest version of iPhoto is 9.6.1.

  • Internet recovery installation Mavericks not El Capitan

    Hello

I am trying to reinstall OS X of the recovery of the Internet. I had been running El Capitan, but when I boot to the recovery of the Internet, it installs the Mavericks.

I can easily update from here, but I'm trying to understand why this happens? It will always return to the operating system that comes originally on the computer? Or is there a way to change this?

    Thank you!

It is supposed to return to the origin of the computer OS.

  • problems with upgrade of mavericks in el capitan

I've heard of problems with the migration of iphotos to pictures photo library, are there any problems with it?  It's the only thing that keeps me from upgrading to el capitan, all my photos are in iphoto on Mavericks. Thank you!!

As long as you have an updated version of iPhoto, bought on the Mac App Store, there is no problem. As always, back first.
