'reconfigure the drives.

Hello

My C drive (OS) is very overcrowded - he's only got 7.68 GB free of 95.3 GB total. On the other hand, my drives D, E and F have much free space. How a) reduce the memory that is allocated to one of the players has a lot and b) allocate the amount reduced to my C drive, there where it is needed?

EG - how to reduce the memory allocated for the E 50 GB drive and use the 50 GB to increase the 7.68 GB in drive C to 57,68 GB?

Thank you

Andrew

Hi André,.

I suggest you try the given steps and check if it helps

· R UN disk cleanup. This tool removes temporary files, empty the Recycle Bin, and removes a variety of file system and other items that you no longer need. For more information, see delete files using disk cleanup.

If logged in as an administrator, you can repartition your hard disk by using the Shrink feature in disk management. You can shrink an existing partition or volume to create unallocated disk space, where you can create a new partition or volume.

I can I repartition my hard disk?

I hope this helps. Let us know if you need help on this issue or any problem related to Windows.

  • I use a USB key to solid state. On my Win7 PC, the drive is e: on my XP PC, the drive h: I need the drive must be the same.

How I change one of them?

I need them to be of the same kind when I run Outlook on two computers (the .pst file is on the USB key), the path to the Outlook folders must be the same or rules Outlook fails when you try to copy a message from the Inbox to another folder in Outlook e-mail.

You probably have one of these drives to multi format card on your XP machine who caught a lot of drive letters.  If you don't mind not reconfigure your Outlook rules one last time, I suggest assignment drive letter Z (or something else, towards the end of the alphabet) to your external drive.

With the drive connected to one of the computers, open disk management:

    • Right click on my computer > manage > disk management
    • Right-click on the drive letter in the upper pane corresponding to the external drive and select "change drive letter and paths".

  • Reconfigure the virtual disk using OpenManage of RAID 0, RAID-5

I apologize for the spacing.  I'm having a little wrong with this forum edit my post.

My small business has had a T610 run for a few years with the following configuration:

    T610 Server

    PERC 6 / i controller

    4 physical disk 1 TB

    Virtual disk 0 size 1 800 GB RAID - 5

Size of the virtual disk 1 992 GB RAID - 5

Virtual Disk 1 was running Exchange and everything else on VD 0.

Last weekend, I had a breakdown of table flat due to the failure of a damaged drive on Windows SBS 2008, who couldn't recover. When I contacted support Pro and got a new drive, I was told not to recreate the same virtual drives and use one.

The local tech and I have been quite underlined and used the Perc 6 / I BIOS to recreate the exact configuration. Then, we had to use Backup Exec 2010 to restore the data. Somehow, we have selected by mistake instead of RAID 5 RAID-0 on recreation of the two virtual disks.

So now, I have the following configuration in OpenManage:

    Virtual disk 0 size 1 800 GB RAID - 0

Size of the virtual disk 1 992 GB RAID - 0

I called Dell and gave instructions in OpenManage on how to reconfigure a virtual disk by adding a physical drive and conversion to RAID-5. My problem is reconfigure is not an option in the dropdown menu, I am told, because I have two virtual disks that have stripes.

I have the ability to drive to go to 1 single virtual disk, given only Exchange is on the second and I can move, then unmold Virtual Disk 1. So my plan is:

    Full backup tape.

Move Exchange off the drive sitting in virtual disk 1 to disk on virtual disk 0.

    Remove the virtual disk 1.

    Add a 5th physical HD.

I hope at this point OpenManage will then give me the option in the drop-down list to reconfigure Virtual Disk 0.

The option to Reconfigure in OpenManage will appear after that he sees only 1 virtual disk?

    Hello

    KRoy66
The option to Reconfigure in OpenManage will appear after that he sees only 1 virtual disk?

Yes, the ability to reconfigure should be available as soon as you remove the second table off readers. Technicians are you talked with correct you cannot reconfigure a table in slices.

I know that you went through the entire process of relocation and restoration of backup, but it is preferable that do you it again. Let me explain why your table has been configured in this way, and why you may need to reinstall again.

There are limits on the partition. To create a partition more of 2 TB, it must be TPG. In order to boot the system from a partition GPT Board must be set to UEFI mode. The problem you will encounter when trying to create a large RAID 5 is that you will not be able to use more than 2 TB of it. You create a new table in slices to use the extra space.

If the system card is already set to UEFI mode then you should be able to convert the GPT partition and expand to necessary to hold account space. If you have installed the operating system with the system of administration established on the MBR can change in UEFI and conversion of GPT likely to cause BONE to be unstable if you are able to boot on it at all.

I think you need to save yourself a lot of hassle and do this upgraded correctly. I know it will be a lot more time to restart, but you should set the UEFI boot mode, remove the two RAID 0, create the new large RAID 5, reinstall the OS and then restore the backup.

Do it right now probably will save you a lot of time.

    Thank you

Running an end of 2013 the MBP 15 "retina

I got 10 Windows Boot Camp installed for more than a year without difficulty. But suddenly, my wifi doesn't work in Windows 10. He could see networks and said it was connected, but it has never been an internet connection.

Assuming that it was the result of an update, I

1 uninstalled all Windows regular updates that I can

    2. uninstalled the Broadcom driver

3 downloaded the last Boot Camp Assistant WSS and installed

But now I can't reinstall a driver for the Broadcom card! I tried to install WSS, but the network card remains in my device without a driver manager. So I tried to install the individual installation files in the folder of Broadcom. Still did not work. I even tried to extract all files Broadcom installation and manual installation of all the drivers. Windows 10 seems to recognize that the "ac" driver is the right, but always tells me that the driver installation failed without giving details.

    What Miss me?

    Hello BearArgyros7.

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I understand that you are unable to format/erase your USB on your Mac mini. I am happy to give you advice with this.

Some USB keys include the exclusive data security encryption. Check out site Web of Kington to see if yours is one of them:

    Readers of encryption of Kingston

If yours is not of them, then try to format your USB key with a different format than what you tried. If successful then try to format at your choice of desire.

Finally, try erase/format your drive to another computer. If the player fails to put it in another computer, then there is a chance that the drive has failed.

    Best regards.
