  Is this the right file? IM afraid because my hardware is ver 2 and this v4.21.1 looks like a version of the v4... Any1 can help me?

  I have a WAG54GS connected to internet with ip address 192.168.1.1 network connected via an ethernet cable to the internet port of a WRT 160N.

  I have a PC1 with XP Professional with SP3 cable connected to the router, a second wired PC2 with windows 2000 Professional, a third PC3 with wireless XP home with SP3 and a PC4 before a wireless with XP Professional with SP3.

  I worked in USA connecting WRT 160 modem comcast without problem and I got a wep with 26 characters for my two wireless computers.

  Now, I went back to Spain and I try to configure my network with the installation cd Wizard and my work network and I can connect to the internet, but I can't work with WEP 26 with the PC3 because I can enter only 23 characters.

  My adsl have a static ip address and it is the IP of the router assigned to WRT160N

  192.168.0.1 which is different from that of the WAG54GS.

  I can enter the web configuration of the WRT 160N but when I want to enter the basic wireless configuration, or nat programming new firmware download, or even change the ip address of the router I get the following message.

  http://192.168.0.1/apply.cgi may be temporarily inactive, or translated in another web direction

  error unknown error 2(net:ERR_FAILED).

  Here is a diagram of my home network.  This is what works.  If I have a device (phone or laptop) connected to the #2 router (wired or wireless), I can browse my network devices and browse the Internet without any problems.  My problem happens the other way.  For example, if I have a device (phone or laptop) connected to the #1 router (wired or wireless) I can see all network devices, with the exception of #2 router and all devices connected to it.

  Starting from a device connected to the Router 1 # I can ping LAN ports and Internet #1, #1 wireless bridge and Bridge #2 wireless router.  However, I can not ping the Internet port on the Router #2.  I guess it's a setting on Router #2 just don't have yet.   Here is a list of my equipment:

• Old Airport Express lost after reset of the router, the connection cannot be seen/accessed

  I am a musician who has been using my old AEX to listen to the music and the recording via Airplay and Airfoil for my Roland onstage for years without problem.   Local ISP technicians have managed to get my router all re - set up and working, but I had to reconfigure my wireless devices (example: wifi printer) from scratch to be able to connect again.

  The tenacious hold on is this old Airport Express.

  How have you tried to connect to the Wlan? Did you use the 3rd party Wlan client configuration tool (Intel, Atheros) or did you use the Wlan configuration option to own Windows?

  If you use a 3rd party client WLan configuration tool, then the windows own option should be disabled.
  I recommend to go through all the settings (encryption key, ssid) and please check if everything is good.

  By the way; Please don t forget to activate the wireless on your laptop network card ;)

  I have a LJ1536 that has worked well until I had to replace my network router after it failed. Now, I can print on both computers I have in the same local network, copy locally in the printer, but will not scan. The printer is connected to the router via an access point configured as client and connected to the printer wireless. After the failure this AP router had to be reconfigured to the new router.

  I tried scanning disabling firewall and anti-virus, delete and reinstall all software using the latest version on the web and nothing. FX HP Toolbox works very well. HP Print and doctor Scan did not help. WIA service is Started (auto mode) on the computers.

  I get the message on the two computers during an attempt of analysis:

  Thanks for the reply.  If the AP was configured to router manufacturer's specifications, it should allow a communication as it did with the previous configuration.  Check the below settings that may fix the problem.

  The AP settings:

  1. make sure that port forwarding is disabled

  2 disable DHCP (this should only be enabled on real router), it can be set to automatic or static, but disable DHCP on the access point
