Record time from start to trigger

Hello

I have a program that uses analog channels N to record data, they begin taking data (either finite or continuous) a trigger.

I use the built in digital triggering but a software analog trigger (works well if). For now we'll just worry about digital triggering.

I am trying to record the elapsed time since then when I start the program when the trigger signal is received - that is, when the program actually starts its data collection.

I saw examples of how to put a stamp of time when relaxation HERE. However, I have a few differences in my code - mainly that I'm collecting channels N data rather than complicating it. Also I don't want to necessarily the timestamp, but the elapsed time from the beginning to receive the trigger.

Right now I have some ideas:

(1) somehow the timestamp of the start of the VI, then understand the timestamp of the relaxation in a manner similar to the above example, subtract the difference.

(2) in debugging code, I find that the probes record the last update at some point in the code. Is it possible to use the actual code?

(3) more difficult. Establishment of a new channel that observes the digital channel I'm tripping off the coast so that I can save its data permanently, wire this channel to trigger my analogue channels. then I see the time at which the trigger has exploded. But I'm not sure how to implement this.

Looking for opinions as to what would be the best way to accomplish this task.

Also, I can post my code if desired - I don't have because it's big enough and hard to follow.

Thank you all,

Beefcake

Take a look at the range of Timing.

In addition, if you are looking for the NI Developer Zone for 'elapsed time' you will find 160 documents.

Surely something in one of these places will help you.

    Hi Ron,

Have you looked at article in the Knowledge Base using the search in Firefox bar? There are lots of good information in there. You happen to have an installed Yahoo! toolbar? You must disable or delete as well if you do. Try to start Firefox in Mode safe mode by holding down the SHIFT key while starting Firefox. If you have any problems using the safe, it's a matter of add-on or extension.

    Hello

I'm new to applescripts and I am writing a script to record from webcam to say X seconds. I use the script below, but I get an error that I don't have permission to save this file on the desktop. How can I avoid this error? Secondly how can I save the file with timestamp added in the name of the file.

Thank you very much in advance, this is my first post in the community

set newMovieRecording to new movie recording

      tell newMovieRecording
      start
      delay 5
      pause
      save newMovieRecording in "/users/rohitbhutani/desktop/movie.mov"
      stop
      close newMovieRecording
      end tell

    Hi rbhutani,

First of all, you must have written

    newMovieRecording Save to POSIX file ' / Users/rohitbhutani/Desktop/movie.mov '.

    Instead of

    newMovieRecording record in ' / Users/rohitbhutani/Desktop/movie.mov '.

Then, to save the file with timestamp added in the name of the file, you can do the following:

the value theCurrentDate to the current date

value dateTime to short date string of theCurrentDate & space & time chain of theCurrentDate

    game of theFilePath to "/ users/rohitbhutani/Desktop/film ' & dateTime &".mov ".

  • SL1 Canon DSLR: setting for recording movies from a tripod

I intend to use a tripod to record sometimes a group of us during the holidays and would like to know if the SL1 provides any kind of recording video delay start (like 2 or 10 seconds) and the record time (like 2 minutes) film. -just enough time for me to get into the film.  These features are available on the SL1 barrel?

If so, what are the parameters to define a record start delay and limit video time recording film?

If not, what are the alternatives?

I know that I can use the RC-6 remote control to activate the record on and outside, but I was hoping that I could do something with the integrated thus delay.

    Audit and thanks,

    Mike

There are wireless remote controls that can be used for this - but I don't think that you can set a delay timer as you can for the shots (and of course, you'd still stop the recording when you're finished.)

Since this is the video, just start the video rolling... and edit forward later (since you probably want to edit your clips anyway).

Regarding the registration deadline... Yes there are two limits.  The camera cannot record a video clip alone (without interruption) for more than 29 minutes and 59 seconds.  In other words... 30 minutes is a strict limit.  It is political and NOT technical.  Through the trade agreement, if a camera can record videos for more than 30 minutes then it must be classified as a 'video' camera and priced at a higher rate.  If it is limited to the records that are less than 30 minutes, it can be considered as a camera so the rates are lower.  It is a stupid restriction - but imposed by Governments who are negotiating these agreements.

The OTHER limit is the size of file and it's a technical limit even if you're unlikely to run in it.  The memory card is formatted as a FAT32 of MS-DOS file system.  It is what allows the same memory card compatible for playback from a PC or a Mac, or even a computer running Linux, if you prefer... and they can all read the card without the need for proprietary drivers (no license fees come into play here).  BUT... the FAT32 file system maps the files in a way that limits the maximum size of a single file to 4 GB. It is probably much more likely that you will be able to run within the limits of 30 rule minutes that the size limit of 4 GB.

My boot option was always "show my windows and tabs from last time ' who used to do exactly this: pick up the tabs I had open or start with a new blank tab if I had opened. Now, however, whenever I open FIrefox I get different windows of previous sessions.
The problem here is that this doesn't SEEM to be a malware issue because I don't get weird ad/questionable windows but "legitimate" pop ups I me remember I started personally is to say a photo or an image of a trusted site that opened in a new window or a help section on amazon.com , etc.

My laptop for some reason any will not properly start to Windows Vista.  What happening every time that you start the computer, it goes through the regular boot screens, not the symbol microsoft windows and then goes into screen Vista starts once you have installed the updates and it says exactly this: Configure updates: stage 3 of 3.  In a first time, it is said that it is at 0% and then it rises to 87% and then says "Shutting Down... "restarts the computer and it all over again.  He has not started windows and probably did more than 10 times.  I have a recovery disc I made (this computer is HP and it gives you the opportunity to make a recovery disc) and I put the first and it only slows down the time it takes to restart the "Configuring updates" screen  If someone could please help me and tell me something to do would really be appreciated.

P.S. I'm not computer illiterate and know more than the normal person on the computers.  The boot order is with the CD first and then the hard drive and it still goes the same screen.  I tried safe mode, and it only makes the larger screen.  Also I don't know if that makes a difference, but the computer could install or download updates when he was arrested.

  • set the default recording time in windows sound recorder

Looking for a way to increase the default value to the recording of the sounds found in XP home recorder.  There is no documentation that I can find to the configuration

    Hello

In the default recorder recording time is 60 seconds. There is a solution to increase the maximum recording time. Follow the steps mentioned below:

    Step 1:
    a. utility start Sound recorder.
    b. click on save and then Sound Recorder run for 60 seconds.
    c. once the sound recorder to stop recording, click Save as on the file menu, and name the file Blank.wav.
    d. in order to increase the maximum duration of recording in sound recorder, click Insert a file in the Edit menu, and then insert the Blank.wav file saved in step 3. When you do this,
the maximum recording time is increased by 60 seconds. You can repeat this step once for each additional minute recording that you want to add. For example, for 5 minutes
recording time, insert the Blank.wav file five times.

    Step 2:
To make the tape recorder automatically use the extended length of the recording time:
    a. Click Start and then click Open.
    b. double-click the programs folder.
    c. double-click the Accessories folder.
    d. double-click the multimedia file or entertainment.
    e. right - click sound recorder and then click Properties.
    f. click on the shortcut tab.
    g. in the target box, press END, press the SPACEBAR and type the location of the file Blank.wav.

For example, if the target is 'C:\Windows\sndrec32.exe', and the location of the Blank.wav file isC:\Blank.wav, the new line in the target box is "C:\Windows\sndrec32.exe C:\Blank.wav"

The next time that you start the tape recorder, the Blank.wav file opens automatically. After you save your new .wav file, you can click on remove after the current Position in the Edit menu for
Remove the extra space in the file.

NOTE: when you have finished recording and editing of your new .wav file, save the file with a new file name.

    Kind regards

  • SE message file each time you start download

The computer in question is used in a school setting and has been disconnected during the summer. It runs xp and IE 7. After hanging upwards, to every startup I get a message about an upgrade of the realtek driver, I think that not having is not enough memory to load, it will and then the dialog box "do you want to run or download this file", files downloaded from the internet can be harmful, etc.. The file is a Web site accessible from previos year, so I guess it may or may not be infected. everything I chose has no effect on it reappear the next time you start, reappears when ie 7 is open. It looks more boring than anything. These computers are used by children thus have a variety of glitches, crashes. any suggestions will be appreciated as maintenance is left to teachers for most

I solved the problem by updating IE7 to IE8. I suppose that reinstall IE7 would have worked too. Seems somehting is stuck in the old browser. It turns out that it was even more embarrassing that I knew first, since the message will reappear when opening the browser or changing web sites. I had to install IE8 and reboot the computer before he went. If someone can explain why it worked, I would like to know

  • How can I stop Windows Messenger from starting automatically

I have never used Windows Messenger.  I recently bought / implement a system refurbished with XP Home - after about a month of use, the Herald began popping up automatically whenever I start the machine, or when I open Outlook Express (and immediately requires a screen name access code (whenever it starts, even if I gave him once to satisfy) (, so I have two things to cancel).

As I say, he began to do this by himself without conscious action on my part, a few weeks after the introduction of the machine. I had an older XP machine for 6 years and never seen it happen.

Two questions: 1) is this a normal behavior to require a name to screen EACH time it starts? I would have thought that it would save one associated with the connection.

    (2) how can I do to stop the automatic aperture? I don't necessarily want to kill-I can actually try to use it someday. I just that it quietly hide in the system tray, as it has always done before.

To stop the Messenger to start with Windows:

    (1) right-click on the Windows Messenger icon in the system tray.
    2) click Open.
    (3) in Windows Messenger, click on tools, then click Options.
    4) click the Preferences tab.
    (5) in the preferences, uncheck the "run Windows Messenger when Windows starts" and "Allow Windows Messenger to run in the background", and then click Ok.

To prevent Outlook Express from loading Messenger

    (1) open Outlook Express
    2) click Tools, Options
    3) click on general tab
    (4) uncheck the box to automatically log on to Windows Messenger
    5) click OK Microsoft Security MVP, 2004-2009

  • start-up: how to stop my yahoo messenger and windows messenger from starting when signing

want to know how to stop my yahoo messenger and windows messenger from starting when signing.

It is always better to stop programs from starting with Windows from the programs themselves, so look in their choices first. There may be an entry in your start > programs > startup folder which can simply be removed. If a program does not offer a way to control the start-up of its preferences, use msconfig to clear the check box next to its name, apply and OK on. Also take a look in your programs > startup folder to see if there is an entry for the application it.

Start Orb > Search box > type: msconfig and when it appears in the results area above, right-click and choose 'run as administrator '.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue. Then see what is on the Startup tab. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Usually, it will be blocked by Windows Defender, and you need to allow it to run so that you can then check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

Important - do not use the System Configuration utility to stop the process. Use Services and stop all services, unless you really, really know what you're doing.

The free Autoruns program is very useful for managing your Startup - http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/default.mspx
