Recovering files TDMS with DIAdem connectivity library

I was in the situation where my application dies and I have unsaved TDMS files. I need to recover the data in them.

The logic of file is mysterious. For a file, I have three: *. PDM, *. TDMS_Index and *. TDMS ~. The last one is always the largest, so I suspect it's my data, as well as scaffolding maybe. If I save and close my account, I'd end up with a well trained PDM file. Unfortunately, my client is to kill my request so I don't ever have a chance of correctly, save and close the file. Yet, I need to recover the data. Is there a magic I can do to recover my data?

  • nilibddc dll: opening files tdms with the corrupt index files

    Hello

    I have a question about the error handling when using the nilibddc.dll.

    I want to use nilibddc.dll to open the .tdms file. At the time I experimented with some error cases and got stuck in a case:

    When I try to open a file with a corrupted file .tdms_index .tdms I get code error-6211 (DDC_StorageCouldNotBeOpened).

    The file .tdms_index is corrupted due to errors during the copy of the file.

    The problem I've noticed is that I have a lock on the corrupted file .tdms_index file after DDC_OpenFile (...) (I can rename it, but I can't delete the file!).

    As you can see in the code snippet - it is not really special...

    int ddcError = 0, length;
    DDCFileHandle file = 0;

    ddcError = DDC_OpenFile (file_path, NULL, &file);)

    Here, I get ddcError is-6211
    If (ddcError == 0)
    {
    do something with the file...

    ddcError = DDC_CloseFile (leader);

    If (ddcError == 0)
    {
    < "no="" error="" -="" everything="" done"=""><>
    }
    }

    System ("pause");

    I miss something here? Should I use DDC_FreeMemory in somehow to free open handles?

    I also tried to use the DDC_OpenFileEx (...) with readOnly set to true. But that doesn't change anything!

    Thanks in advance for the help,

    Daniel

    You are right. The sample file you attached to your message causes an access violation. If no normal flow program and apllication in undefined state.

    I will direct the file to developers. I tried to generate a file that causes the same by beating some index files, but has failed to create one on my own. It happened to your site more than once?

    What can we do?

    In the first place, simply copy the PDM. The index file will be recreated when the file is accessed. What is lost when the index file is not copied, therefore the time required to create the index file by scanning once the PDM file.

    I hope this helps a little

  • Adding properties files TDMS with the C API

    I use the free C API (dll) to write TDMS files. Everything works perfectly except the next function call.

    int __stdcall DDC_CreateFilePropertyString (file DDCFileHandle,
    const char * property.
    const char * value);

    I call the following function in advance to create the PDM file.

    int __stdcall DDC_CreateFile (const char * filePath,)
    const char * fileType.
    const char * name,
    const char * description.
    const char * title,.
    const char * author;
    DDCFileHandle * file);

    When I call the function to create the property, it returns with the error-6202 code (invalid argument). I don't think that there is an invalid argument in my appeal. Someone at - it examples of code? What I need to do something before I can create a property?

    Thanks for your help.

    Does

  • Concatenate with DIAdem TDMS files, depending on the time

    This question is in French and English.

    Hello

    I'm trying to find a way to concatenate/merge several files TDMS analog measurements with DIAdem 2012, in order to have more than one file. I be provided with attachment 1.

    I am beginner in DIAdem and don't know not the language of the script code. En 986KO on this forum, I found the script 'Import data from several Files.VBS use', and changed lines 17 and 18 not 'csv' by replacing "tdms" (as it was stated on another topic on the forum). This script also appealed to "concatenate groups."

    The problem is that the TDMS files contain several groups (the slots on frame of measures Canada) each containing several different channels. This script concatenates so each group and the result makes more sense the script to modifier is certainly "CONCATENATE Groups", but in what way?

    Thank you

    I'm trying to find a way to concatenate/merge several files TDMS analog measurements with DIAdem 2012, in order to have at the end only one file. You can find these files with my mail 1.

    I am a beginner in tiara and do not know the language of the script code.

    By searching on this forum, I found the script 'Import data from several Files.VBS use' and changed lines 17 and 18, replacing 'csv' by "tdms" (as demonstrated in another topic on the forum). This script also uses "groups of concatenate.
    The problem is that the TDMS files contain several groups (pointing to the slots on the frame measurements), each containing several different channels. If this script concatenates each group and the result is meaningless. I think the script that needs to be changed is "CONCATENATE Groups", but how?

    Thank you

    Olivier

    Hi Oliver,.

    Try to run the script you downloaded once for each group and encodinng group to load in the assignment of "ChannelSet" in line 10 using the index group, like this:

    ChannelSet = "[1] / *" or ChannelSet = "[2] / *".

    I just found out that this example breaks in 2014 DIAdem because the 'DataFileHeaderAccess' command has been relegated and replaced by a new.  I need update soon.

  • Recover deleted files from Win 7 related library (mklink) to NAS

    Hello, I must have goofed big time but need your expert assistance to see if I can recover files deleted from my Home PC Win 7 Ultimate SP 1 library accounts (which were actions of a NAS). I went to the process of

    (a) adding a new folder in my documents from C:\Users\\Documents\Share\Work user account folder
    (B) including this file in My Documents library
    (c) by deleting this folder on the local drive
    (d) used "mklink" command to bind this folder location in a folder NAS, Z:\Work
    Tinkering with my computer, I created a new account , moved all my account documents to . Just cut and paste. When moving, I got the error that the folder shared (the link symbolic one) could not be moved because there was no valid local share. (This I understand because I had not done the same steps (a. to d. above) to create the symbolic part first). Then, I assumed that the files had not been moved.
    Then, I deleted the account of and returned to . To my surprise, the location of the folder shared documents on library showed no file. I went directly to the NAS (which is also a shared network, Z drive :), and there is no files on the NAS!)
    Thus how can the question, I recover files that were deleted on the NAS Server? The NAS is a 1 TB Seagate GoFlex Home. This NAS is based on the computing platform for Marvell Sheeva plug, running a Linux (OS HipServ of Axentra) operating system.
    Any help (even using third-party tools) would be most appreciated. I just lost 500GB of data of the past 15 years!

  • Open files are more associated with a connection

    Sorry if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find any mention of it.

    Steps to reproduce the problem:

    -Open SQLDev
    -Open a connection
    -Open a file (using the "Files" tab in the left pane)

    Result: the file is not associated with the connection open, and you will have to manually select from the dropdown at the top right.

    Previous versions didn't work as expected and current behavior is extremely boring.

    Hope you'll fix it as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Kind regards.

    Alessandro

    To summarize what we have:

    1. before 3.2 newly opened file based PL/SQL Editor have been associated with the connection 'default', and as xxsawer pointed out, it was a bug.

    2. once 3.2 newly opened editor is not associated with any connection and requires the user to choose one explicitly.

    After a little reflection, it seems that fix correct is for an editor newly open to study the project.qbql mapping and if there is an entry, then choose this connection (which, of course, can be changed if the user wants so).  Am I missing any other usage scenario?

    Edit: implemented for ai2.

    Hello

    ·        Remember to make changes to the system?

    It may be that your hard drive is damaged, I suggest to run chkdisk\r and check if you are able to boot to the desktop. To do this, you must boot into the recovery console, and then run the command.

    a. Boot into the recovery console. Check the steps that are mentioned in the link given below.

    Description of the Windows XP Recovery Console for advanced users

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314058

    (b) to fix the errors, look for bad sectors and recover readable information, at the command prompt, typechkdsk volume: /r, and then press ENTER.

    I suggest you return the item mentioned below.

    When you restart your computer or upgrade to Windows XP, you receive the error message "STOP 0x000000ED UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME".

  • Is it possible to recover files from an essential Clipboard

    A year ago my toddler infiltrates his bottle directly the keyboard of my macbook pro 2012,.

    He continued to work for a few months after with a connected keyboard but started to slow down to the point it could not start. It is no longer accepts a charge and became a support of decorative paper.

    Im not in the hope of recovering the computer but is there a way to recover some data and files of her yet?

    All knowledge would be appreciated.

    Remove the hard drive and put it in an envelope. If you don't have one, any good-sized computer store have it in stock.

    If the hard drive itself is damaged, you may need to make to a professional recovery service.

    Hi Bala,

    Depending on your use case, I suggest you call the next VI, which comes with LabVIEW, after your purchase VI is the creation of the data file.  Just pass the data file path in the upper part of entry and your path to the VBScript file in less than entry.

  • Transfer the file RAW with edited Information?

    I have Lightroom on my pc laptop and desktop (Windows Vista and Windows 7 64 bit respectively).  I copied a few Canon RAW CR2 files to my laptop in the field and edited some of the files.  Is it possible to transfer these changes, along with the files on my desktop pc?

    Probably do you a temporary LR catalog on the LT to make your changes, but your permanent catalog is on the DT?

    On your LT, if you use the library / metadata / save metadata to the files (plural) with selected images in the library grid, you should get an XMP file for each file CR2 containing the snapshot of adjustments when you perform the backup.  Copy the CR2 as well as the XMP file on your desktop, and when you import the changes will be part of the State of the initial import.  If you have already imported the files on your w/o the XMPs DT, then remove them from the library of DT (but not record) and reimport them after copying the XMP files above.

    If it is something unique, then the single transfer and CR2/XMP is ok.

    Depending on what else is in the your LT LR catalog, you can export a catalog, with just your images and their settings and import this catalog on your DT, change the paths to the images if necessary on the side of DT.

    Presumably, you know how to copy files (CR2s, XMPs, LRCATs) from your laptop to your desktop through a network or a USB drive connected, right?

    Either of these processes is a little messy.  If you do this on an ongoing basis then think about how to make the process as simple as possible.  What I do is have the LR catalog and images (for the last year, at least) on an external drive 1 TB USB3-speed that I bought at Best Buy, where drive letter is set to be the same on both computers I use LR on, and then I just plug in the USB drive to any computer I want to use at the moment.  I backup all the contents of the drive every night at a different speed USB3 drive so if I never forget that I'm wearing autour and destroy it, then I have another copy of everything.

    The initial copy took time, but changes in nightly replication does not take too long.  I use PTReplicator from KarenWare to plan a my pictures folder replication nightly at 02:00.  There are other similar programs to facilitate unidirectional replication such as RoboCopy SyncToy and DoubleTake.

  • Photos on macOS Sierra: Album of peoples does not synchronize with iCloud photo library

    Using Photos has just been updated for Sierra, and we finally have it in writing:

    https://help.Apple.com/photos/Mac/1.2/?lang=en#/phtf5e48489c

    Note: Persons identified in the album people are not synchronized between devices.

    And as far as I know, it really does not synchronize between my libraries of Photos on the MacBook Pro and my iMac.

    It's different in the 10 user guide iOS for the iPhone and iPad:

    http://help.Apple.com/iPhone/10/#/iph9c7ee918c

    People are synchronized between devices where you are connected with the same Apple ID.

    I wonder how this is supposed to work, if a Mac and iPhone are synchronized with iCloud User Library.

    None of the faces that I named on my iPhone did sync it with my Mac.

    Another indication that the lack of synchronization of the people and names is deliberate:

    This document has now also been updated:

    Use iCloud photo library on several Mac - Apple Support computers and Photos

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT204486

    After have connected you, these items appear in the Photos app on all your Mac computers:

    • All photos and original videos
    • All folders and albums
    • Smart albums
    • Keywords
    • Memories
    • Key photo selections

    He used to say, tags searchable faces will perform synchronization between devices, but the tags are more is mentioned. Now we have the 'memories' instead.

  • Performance problems with large Photo library size

    Did anyone seen performance issues when the library becomes too great? I used to keep a few different libraries, since some of my libraries are already 1 TB. So, if I merge into one, the file will be 2-3 Tb when it's said and done. Anyone know if it is recommended to size limits or is it more important with El Capitan. Obviously, the response time will be affected by the hard drive and the speed of the laptop, but before you begin merging into one file libraries, I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions/recommendations or other related advice. Thank you!

    It is not documented, but how many pictures a library can contain pictures, you can migrate photos iPhoto libraries and libraries Aperture, so you should be able to store at least 1 000 000 photos in a photo library.

    I haven't noticed any performance issue with a large library of Photos.  My largest library has 40000 photos.

    During the regular work with the size of the library is not serious at all, as long as you want to keep enough free storage on your system drive. Don't let the photo library fill in your system drive. Keep at least 10 GB free at all times, better more.

    However, there are rare occasions when the size will be discussed:

    • When you need repair library, it will take more time, if the library is large.
    • When you first migrate your libraries of photos, the initial treatment will take longer - scanning for faces and places, creating thumbnails.
    • If you use iCloud library synchronization can take a long time for a large library.
    • Too many smart albums can make pictures a little slower, if the library is large.  I noticed a drop in performance, after that I created 200 smart albums with a search for text across the entire library.

    No and probably not. Some may choose several libraries as a way to manage multiple devices. Personally, I have my main library, another that I use only with iTunes game, and several that I could use to test behavior iTunes when I answer questions and I want to correct the details. Most activities in iTunes causes the .itl file update and the .xml so it is created. It is likely to be some kind of non-linear relationship between the size of the library and the time required to process updates. Each smart playlist should be updated when the data changes. Most of the smart playlists and playlist folders you more than the activity takes. Avoid creating the .xml if you don't need it, the control is in iTunes > Preferences > advanced.

  • Minimum installation to analyze with DIADEM data stored on server Citadel 5

    I want to access the data stored on a server of the Citadel 5, with minimal software installed on the computer of the end with Diadem 11.1.

    The goal is to perform the analysis of the data on the data acquired by data acquisition on a centralizedCitadel server in our lab (possibly in read-only mode).

    In several positions, it is suggested to install the Client Web Lookout development/Run-Time Systems 6.2 Windows 2000/XP/Vista.

    However, this installs a set of components (for example SQL engine...), that we would prefer to avoid.

    What is the minimum configuration for a machine that has no installation of LabView?

    Sincerely

    Paolo Pierini

    Sorry for the misunderstanding;

    as noted in the knowledge base How to recover data from a data base of Citadel with DIAdem, you must install the Citadel 5 database Access Pack, which is included in the package of Lookout. In any case, you can also download and install the Citadel 5 database Access Pack separately at this link.

    This pack should be sufficient in order to retrieve the data from the database of the Citadel.

    I could not find the version for Diadem 11.1, but given that the Diadem version 10.0 is the newest published, in my view, should be
