Recovery blackBerry Smartphones BB9000 memopad files

My 9000 seems to have finally given upward, but only with the operation of the selection of push on the wheel... I can move laterally and upward and downwards, but can not select anything.  I can connect to my pc and see all the files.  I used the BB Desktop to back up my files but only see a .cab and .ipd files in the backup folder.  Can someone tell me how to recover the notes in Notepad?  I would really appreciate it.

In addition to the response of Krypto, there are solutions to extract information from the IPD files using a Windows PC. Check out this recent post by JSanders:

  • BlackBerry smartphones accidentally deleted file recovery possible?

I accidentally deleted a folder that I created in my images.  The folder contained images more.  Is it possible possible to recover a deleted folder?  Like, is there a place where deleted things light up in the phone like a trash can on a computer, or are the folder and the images it contains, disappeared forever?  I've never backed up my phone and I downloaded the photos to a computer, so those who are unfortunately not an option.

    Hiya!
Unfortunately no, it not there no trash or whatever it is. Once you remove an item from the device, it went.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, deleting the files from music permanently

I've loaded about 3 000 songs on my Javelin and trimmed them up to about 1,000 of my absolute favorites. I tried to transfer to my computer in two ways... with Fund Manager and let XP do the work... but deleted music always comes again!

I tried a reset, reboot and everything I can think of doing the deletion of things go away, but it won't. Windows Media Player is on monitor only the new folder I created for Blackberry music, but my smartphone is quite smart to find all the stuff I was history.

My question: how the world can permanently delete you a file? I have checked the settings, but it can't know.

Thanks for any time you take to help out me.

If your music is on a media card, use Windows Explorer to view its contents and to view system and hidden files.

In each case, you will see a file named BBThumbs.dat. It's the indexing file, which contains information about the deleted files still. Just delete all the BBThumbs.dat files.

After unplugging the computer, when you enter the multimedia application, it will start again every 1000 remaining files from indexing. It may take some time but will end after a few minutes.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones opening media files

Using the BlackBerry Media Manager I transferred a number of audio files for my BlackBerry Curve. However, I don't seem to be able to play them. I did the following: during the transfer, I chose the conversion proposed for optimal playback. When I view the files on my BlackBerry (adding them as an attachment to an e-mail), I see that they are found on my press card and have the .m4a format, similar to other files that I can play. Mass storage mode (never used yet) my pocket computer is not connected to my computer. Also, I had a number of songs (albums) on my handheld I used to be able to access but cannot anymore, even if I see that they are still on my press card. Any suggestions?

After the download of several multimedia files on your Blackberry, sometimes you have to do a reset. It is done to remove the battery while the blackberry is in place, wait a bit, then plug it back. Your Blackberry will start up (can take up to a few minutes), then see if your files are better.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones download Word files on the BB with device software 4.5

Hello. I just upgraded my HH to 4.5 and our BES to 4.1.6. (Bundle38). I myself have sent an email with a Word attachment to test. When I tried to download the file on my HH, I received this message: "you are about to download a file that cannot be played on your Blackberry device. Continue? "I clicked 'Yes' and it looks like it's uploaded in the documents folder. When I opened the file, nothing here? I missed a step or what? Thank you!

You will not see "dataviz' listed anywhere on your BB... Look at Options > Advanced > Applications and find DocumentsToGo?

If not, reopen the Desktop Manager > Application Loader and find the Advanced button and check DocumentsToGo.

  • BlackBerry smartphones copy PC files

I want to only copy the media files from my PC to my BlackBerry. I'm a bit hesitant because I use BES to load the software CD and retrieve messages from company of my mailbox exchange on the BB.  If I load the software could it affect my automatic receipt of Email?

Are you placing them on a memory card or just the memory of BlackBerry?

l is recommended to buy a microSD card to store your multimedia files, if you run out of memory on your device.

According to what your BlackBerry OS is tells you what size microSD card you can buy. You can check under Options | Topic (will appear as v4.xx.xxx). Look at the table on the following link to see what size you can get - http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB05461

On the BlackBerry, go to Options | Media Media Card recommended parameters are:

    Media card support: WE
    Encryption mode: NO
    Mass storage support: WE
Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected: YES

Mass storage mode allows your BlackBerry to act as an extra drive when it is connected to your PC. It will appear as an extra drive letter in Windows Explorer. So you can just drag/release the multimedia files on your memory card

  • BlackBerry Smartphones to transfer files from memory card to device memory

Hi... the subject seems pretty basic.

But when I plug my 8330 to a computer, I can access only files in the directory "Blackberry", which are files on the SD card.  I want to be able to access files / photos stored on the memory of the device.  I thought that to transfer the files from the device to the SD memory memory then would allow me to download on my computer

Someone knows how to do this?

    Thanks in advance.

Go to the media, press menu and Explorer, go to the memory of the device to locate the file, select the file menu, and then tap new and move

Hi and welcome to the forums!

It would be easier to get Quicktime for your XP to change the file type of the Blackberry.

    QuickTime can play .amr files.

  • BlackBerry smartphones download attachments - file selection

I am struggling to find the right sequence to download an attachment.  I am trying to download a photo from an e-mail.  (actually three photos).  I guess that the destination must be my photo folder.

Here is the sequence of what I do, please someone can tell me where I'm wrong?

    1. I opened the email and there are three attachments .jpg (90 to 126 K)

    2. I select the file and a menu appears, open attachment is highlighted.  I select the option which is the attachment to download.

    3. the next menu is select file/Media Card / Blackberry / pictures.  Below it is a folder that says upward, and that's where the blue highlight.  Under is a camera.  I guess I want the pictues to go in the pictures folder, but I can't select this folder.

    4. highlight to the top, and because it's the only thing that I can support on and it appers to start the download.  Then I get a message error "an unknown error has occurred."

It's frustrating when simple things like this are so difficult.  What I am doing wrong?

    JG

you have answered your own question, file/Media Card / Blackberry / pictures is where you save it.  It is the sd card
