recovery of iPhone music library

Recently, 1 broken laptop. I backed up iphone 1 on a laptop computer 2 before restore and update, but there was a problem with the restoration so it is corrected I use another iphone 2. The backup has been said to include music, but songs have not been restored when I used the backup of the phone 1. However, phone 2 says that it is now synchronized with itunes laptop broken 1 which has all my songs. Is it possible to put all my music on the new phone 2?

Music and other media are not part of the backup of the iPhone. They have never been.

    Hello

iCloud music library has worked between my Mac, iPhone 6 and iPad Pro. However, it does not work on my new iPhone 7.

When I try turn it off and on again, I do not get the merge or replace guest library that every site seems to say that I see. I tried using different wifi, using LTE networks and to connect it to my Mac. I tried to reboot the device when enabling/disabling iCloud music library. I also tried to use file > library > update to iCloud music library iTunes. I've been at this for about 4 hours now and am about to start rider on my hair. Any help is appreciated.

  • Music 'Show' hidden it reveals no Mac iTunes library but on iPhone music and currently visible downloads in the library are listed in iTunes 'Purchases hidden' - what?

I'm maybe just confused as to how it works, but I noticed that there was an album or two in my "Hidden purchases" that were not in my library iTunes MacBook Pro, so I unhid them - now they are gone from my hidden purchases but do not show up in my library; but they do not go to my iPhone music app. What is everything?

Also, several recent purchases, I've done from iTunes that are in my MacBook Pro iTunes library can be found simultaneously in the hidden buy - why they are supposed to be hidden if they are not hidden?

Really, I just want those purchased earlier albums in my library that are not currently uploaded - I tried "Check for available downloads" and nothing happened-, it would seem that I their unhid into oblivion.

    Any ideas?

  • "iCloud music library can be unlocked -" iPhone 6 - iOS 9.3.1

    Hi all

I had podcast download questions ("Unable to download the podcast" on the iPhone 6 - iOS 9.3.1) which extended unable to download songs from Apple's music for offline use. Spend a lot of time in airplanes that becomes really lonely and boring.

But today my problems reached another milestone, that will not just be my library of music iCloud cooperate more. He took himself in the menu settings/music and I cannot turn it back on, get the error "iCloud music library can not be activated. You can activate it later Music settings. So far, your music is not available on other devices.

Since I can't add music in my library for quick research, I can't download anything for offline use, etc. Extremely annoying with all the flights I do.

I restored my phone from an old backup (2 months) for good measure, but no luck.

  • Gray 6 s more than 128 GB iPhone iTunes music library

I have a new iPhone 6 s more than 128 GB. ITunes music library synchronized from your desktop Windows 10 for iPhone and most of the music is grayed out.

I uninstalled iTunes from the computer Windows 10. I need help to remove the iPhone iTunes library so I can start trying to solve this problem.

    How to uninstall iPhone music?

Contempt as I figured out how delete music from the iPhone. Now cannot get it to sync. The 3 days spent with this iPhone have been a waste of time. I will just return the iPhone tomorrow and back to Android and the cost of this iPhone close to a grand! I can install the iTunes on an Android library and play it fine and use as ringtones. However, iTunes is a program from Apple and iTunes is an Apple smartphone, and it is no longer supported on Android! It's unreal.

  • Music library syncing my iPhone to my Mac

I recently bought a Macbook Pro (move from a Windows-based computer) and after syncing my iPhone to my Macbook, I noticed that my entire library of music on my iPhone does not sync to my Macbook. I'm not 100% sure but I think that only the music that I bought through iTunes transferred and all music, I bought the CD and ripped from iTunes on my old computer and then sync my iPhone has not been transferred. I think I have the appropriate settings transfer the entire library of music.  I suspect I need to subscribe to Apple music or iTunes game to get my ripped to a music CD to transfer on my Macbook. I know I can't use correct terminology but basically doesn't transfer any music coming from a CD purchased to my Macbook and I want to correct this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You cannot synchronize back from your iPhone to the new Macbook because the synchronization works only for Mac to iPhone via iTunes. It is a concession to the music industry to prevent people from easily unload their collections of DRM-free music on multiple computers.

You do not want to transfer your music library from your old computer to the new Macbook and load it into iTunes. You can then establish the sync of the Macbook to iPhone iTunes library if you choose to do so.

Once you have all your music on the Macbook in iTunes, you can then decide if you want to use iTunes game or Apple's music with iCloud music library. These options will make your music library available on any device that you logged in with the same account. Under this configuration you only need to manually sync from Mac to iPhone. You will see all your music on the phone available for streaming or you can choose to allow some of them local offline listening rather than streaming.

I just installed iOS10 and cannot sort my music/library by the song title. It displays only the titles of the songs in groups sorted by artist. This is consistent with both iPhone6 & iPad. Y at - it a setting or option that I'm missing?

  • Impossible to use both: iMusic and previous music library

    Hello

to use iMusic on my iphone and ipad, I have to activate the iCloud music library; but when I do that, all my old files, in this case, various language courses, disappear or cannot be played more.

    I chose "merge" btw.

Anyone know how I can use both? And also, why the * Apple does it?

    Hello builtthispool,

Welcome to Apple Support communities with your question about music and language courses.  I use Apple music and I also have a lot of audio files that are usually not in the iTunes store.  I am happy to answer your questions.

First I wanted to give you this link that will explain a little about the differences between music from Apple and iTunes game:

iCloud library: understand the differences between music from Apple and iTunes game

Especially take note of this article:

Music to Apple and iTunes game are not backup of your original music library services. Be sure to back up your music library so that you have a copy of your music and other information if your Mac or PC is already replaced, lost or damaged.

Before you begin working with the help of Apple's music or iTunes Match, whichever you choose, you'll want to save your language course.  Here is a link to explain how to back up your iTunes library:

Manage and backup your iTunes library

Once you have saved your iTunes library, you can decide which service you want to use.  While both services download songs that are not in the iTunes Store, it is possible that they may not download or correspond to classes because of the type of file.  What you can do instead is to synchronize files physically connecting your iPhone / iPad to your computer.

  • Cannot add anything to Apple's music library

Over the last week I have had any problems, add music to apple's music. I click on the sign '+' to add it to my library for easy listening access, but is never added. I then go click on the '+' again (which normally if you have already added, the sign is replaced by the symbol of the cloud-download). The cloud symbol appears for a brief second before to return in the ' + '. If someone could tell me what is happening and how to fix it, would be great!

    Thank you

    Hey there, petyondc!

Thanks a lot for the use of Community Support from Apple! Your post, I understand you are trying to add music to your music library from Apple, but it won't actually save. If you try to add again, the + briefly turns into the cloud icon, but then goes back to the + and adds yet. I love being able to customize my library of Apple's music and want to help! Give the steps below a try and stop when the problem is resolved.

    1. Quit the application, and then start it again. You can follow the instructions in the article below the link if you do not know how to exit the application.

Force a nearby application on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

Just after that you left the music app, tap the icon again to reopen and test adding a song to your library again.

    2. Restart your iPhone. The steps in the "How to restart" section of the following article will guide you in this process.

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

Once on the iPhone, open the application music and try to add a song to your library.

    3. Back up your iPhone, and then restore it back to factory settings. You can use iCloud or iTunes to back up your iPhone and instructions are available in the article below.

The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Once you have saved it, use the steps in the following article to restore the iPhone to factory settings, then set up as a new device.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

    Good listening!

  • iCloud music library

I wanted to remove some songs from my phone to get more space, but to do this, I had to remove the musical library of iCloud option and manually select the music I want on my phone. But in doing so, I can not record songs when I active apple music subscription. So, I turned on the music library to icloud and the music I wanted to remove first is back on my phone and the songs saved the subscription of apple's music have disappeared. My question is: how to remove music from the music library to icloud? Thank you for your understanding.

    Dorut Hello,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand not wanting to manage your music and create space on your iPhone. These articles will help you to manage your music and create more space on your iPhone.

Delete songs and video clips from your music library to iCloud

In the next article, there is a section to remove the content manually. I also highlighted the steps below the link.

If you need more space for an iOS update

In the settings menu to use, you can see how much space your apps use and delete those you don't need. You can always re - download your purchased applications or any content later. Follow these steps:

    1. Tap Settings > general > storage & use iCloud > storage management.
    2. Select any application to see how much space it uses and tap Delete App to remove it. Some applications, such as music and videos, allow you to remove parts of their documents and data.

    Best regards

  • How can I get off my phone music library? Nothing works!

So I select the songs I want on my phone. Under summary on iTunes, "Sync only checked songs and videos." The section of music under my device has the songs I chose of my library. So I synchronize my entire library but still is always appear on my phone.

Even when I go to manage the storage of music under settings > general and delete all music, always my entire library remains in my music application. If I then go back to the storage, we read that there is nothing there.

The only way I can see how to do is to manually remove music from a phone. It's not ideal, considering I have a lot of music, and I think it MUST be something I'm missing here! I used to be able to synchronize just straight up, and it would only sync the songs that I chose, remove the rest of my phone. Does not like that now.  I wonder if it has something to do with the Cloud, but I've never tested with it.

I read a lot of forums for similar issues, and all the proposed solutions are things I've tried.

    I have iOS 9.3.2 and iTunes 12.4.1.
    I don't have iTunes game.

Under settings on my phone, 'Show the Apple music' is switched off.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    Hello sfornof,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand that you are not able to remove all your music from your iPhone. If you do not already have it, you unsync all your music and you are trying to sync your music to your iPhone again.

To do this, connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes.

    1. click on the icon of the iPhone on the upper left side of iTunes.

    2. starting at the column of left side of iTunes, click on the 'music '. On the right side of the iTunes screen, it should say "Sync music" with a check box in front of the word Sync.

    3 remove the control box.

    4. click on the button 'Apply' at the bottom right of the iTunes screen.

Once iTunes is finished syncing, look in the app the iPhone music and see if your music is still there or not.

Otherwise, put the control back in the box in front of "Sync music" and make sure that "Selected lists of reading, artist, albums, and genres" is selected. Choose the following items you want and then click again on 'apply '.

    Best regards

  • iOS 9.2.1 to listen on any iPhone music

    Hello community,

This is the first time for me in this community and I hope my English will allow me to explain the problem.

    The facts

I use Apple Music and 'Apple Music' is activated in the settings and "iCloud music library" in.

I bought a CD in a physical store and I imported into iTunes, via my iMac. iTunes started the work on the album.

The album is available on iTunes Store also, but it is totally unavailable in Apple's music. 1 single track available on Apple music.

    So far, everything is ok.

    The problem

I can see the album in the music app, but all tracks are grayed out, except the only available track in music Apple and it is not possible to download songs via iCloud nor it is possible to force iTunes to add songs to music app.

If I click the arrow pointing down on the cloud icon of Pentecost () I can download only the song that is not grayed out.

What can I do to get all the tracks on my iPhone?

    Thank you!

    Hi enrico.c,

Thank you for contributing to the communities of Apple Support.

It seems that you have imported a CD to your iTunes (and iCloud music library) library but cannot download songs using Apple's music on your iPhone.

I recommend first of all, check the status of the songs in iTunes using these steps of status and iCloud library icons:

Turn on the icons and the columns of the State

On the iCloud download and status iCloud columns to see the icons and statuses.

    1. Open iTunes.
    2. If you are not in the My Music tab, click the music in the upper left corner of iTunes, then click on my music in the top-middle of the screen.
    3. In the menu in the upper right corner of the screen, choose the songs.
    4. In the same menu, click show columns.
    5. Make sure there is a check mark next to iCloud download and iCloud status. Otherwise, click iCloud download or iCloud status to switch on the columns.
    6. ICloud status columns and iCloud download appear.

The status of these songs iCloud can give us clue as to why they are not available on your iPhone. You can find an explanation for the iCloud statutes the link I mentioned above.

    Sincerely.
