  I looked in the collection of information about a vpn concentrator 3000 for one our clients who have recently begun to support. We have no documentation on the user name or password for the hub:

  For what it's worth, I followed this procedure to properly reset the administrator password on a VPN 3000 Concentrator without loss of the active configuration.

  Since this is a brand new computer, just do a factory restore. You don't have anything about it at this stage and it will be less work to do the restore to factory to try and reset the password. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  There is no way I know the f11 key disabling without breaking the recovery feature.  However, if you have created your for laptop recovery DVD set, you can remove the recovery Partition (it will be recreated if you are using the recovery DVD to reinstall the operating system) as shown in the link below and so remove the option f11 recovery of the operating system from the hard drive.

  My Vista Business computer does not recognize the RecoveryToken file on an external hard drive that is connected via the USB port.

  How I got here:

  I restored my computer from an old file WindowsImageBackup.  Went well.

  I forgot what my password was when I made that backup.  I have a RecoveryToken file.

  What I do:

  1. start the computer.

  2. in the login screen, I click on "reset the password...". »

  3. the password reset Wizard.  The Welcome screen is displayed.  I click on "Next".

  4. the computer recognizes both the external hard drive and my cd player.  I chose the external drive where the RecoveryToken file is stored.

  5. a dialog box appeard, "this disk is not a password reset disk".

  I have the recovery DisksI do have a second computer available where I can plug in the external hard drive.  The second computer is running XP Home.

Well, since the children knew its administrative password, I changed for her and gave her a new. The question is, she no longer miss the place or thrown out by mistake.   I need to set up a new self ACS, model 1113, but has a problem in the configuration of the correct ip address in the first attempt. I tried to use the command set ip to change, but it did not work. Then I run the installation program again by restarting the machine and pressing the F2 key. But I was asked to provide the CURRENT password, which was not the administrator password.   I know that I could prevent them by setting a 'master' password, but if the master password is set, I would be asked to enter it whenever I have run thunderbird, which is not what I want.
  I think that it is better to add an option to allow users to define security defferent levels:
  Level 1: password required when starting the client. This will prevent other people who view your emails.
  Level 2: password required before displaying the stored passwords. This option allows users to view the emails freely, which is convinent for me.

  Encryption requires a key. You master password is the key. Thunderbird stores not only key anywhere, so there is zero chance of the encrypted data in reverse engineered as the encryption key is simply not present. This is also exactly how Firefox works.

  Your suggested approach would require the key to be stored somewhere for reverse engineering becomes a fairly simple process. Ask Microsoft how having a known key worked for the paper until about 2003 version password. They can be opened and the password worked around in about 2 seconds on a 386 computer.

  As for a password manager. Netscape it built when they were writing code, well before the other specialist products you mention were never developed.
