  I have this problem in a database of production, (version 11g 2, 11.2.0.3) using Real Application Cluster, I disabled archivelog to a window for a mass of large tables update, now I'm trying to reactivate the archivelog mode and I couldn't, because it shows the error ORA-00265, I find a lot of sites and Oracle support and the explanation is always the same "you shutdown abort or force start the base of. data start again and stop with immediate or normal option"but the thing is that I use srvctl with the immediate option, I did a few reboots of the database and I read in the newspaper of the alerts that indeed there at the start of the database runs a recovery of Instance.

  Why does this happen? I stop the two nodes at once and one by one, began with sqlplus and I didn't really know what else to do, I hope you can help me.

  Then, the process that I did to fix that and enable archivelog:

  srvctl stop database d immediate o xxx

  srvctl start database d o mount xxx

  recover the database;

  srvctl start database-d xxx (apparently the bd still needs a clean shutdown to reactivate the archives, otherwise the ORA-00265 continues to show, so I had to start and stop)

  srvctl stop database d immediate o xxx

  srvctl start database d o mount xxx

  ALTER database archivelog (at this point, it worked and the archiving log enabled, after this, stop and open again...)

  You can use HARD drive recovery option to recover to factory settings, but it has nothing to do with this recovery utility.

  It s unplausible that no restore cd shipped with your machine. Your machine was not one of these glorious Vista/Xp machines with a HARD drive recovery.
  Thus, you can find better the CD because the only choice you have is

  -to pay for a new recovery by having an authorized partner
  -to pay for a Windows XP tablet edition and download all the drivers
  -pay nothing and try to work with linux
  -to pay nothing because you have found the CD

  So you can see your selection and there is not a lot. Take a handful of chance and prey that you will find the CD, otherwise, you will pay.

  Set the BIOS on the settings by default and use recovery DVDs again.

  Dear Yolande, it will not work on this path. What you need, it's true record and not parts that you can later put together.

  Support in general is not just to offer original recovery disk. Support is also to offer hardware replacement. Support is also to provide all the important factors for your laptop model.

  This info you found doesn't mean that your laptop is no longer supported. Problem is this recovery disk Toshiba doesn't offer to older models of laptops, but it is not the end of the world. For each supported operating system, you can download all important drivers, Toshiba tools and utilities. So what you need to do is to get the original disc of Microsoft WXP (Dutch), installing WXP and install all necessary drivers later.

  It is not so problematic. In any case if you need help let us know and we can help you.

  I was wondering if the HP System Recovery automatically included the Windows product key, or if it should be manually inserted after recovery?

  The reason why I ask is because I can no longer view, read, or even make the code 25-digit number on the certificate of Authenticity on the bottom of the laptop, as it was literally brought to use.

  If it isn't, can then someone tell me how I can get a new one, without having to purchase Windows 7 all over again?  Microsoft says that if one is come pre-installed OS, then the manufacturer must be contacted.

  I would like to know how many drives recovery requires my laptop L300-1AQ (model number PSLB8E).

  I have a disc I made when I bought the computer but I can't start using up to this I make sure that only the disk is necessary (if more than one disk is needed and I begin the process of recovery, I believe that I have will make the computer unusable). I know that recent Toshibas are delivered with several DVDs so it certainly worth my checking before doing anything.

  Oh and the recovery partition is gone due to an 'aggressive' installation of linux, so this isn't an option for us (it's the new user is a windows user).

  I cannot find this information on the internet or in the manual, so I would be grateful if anyone out there has this information.

  Possibly 1 drive only Toshiba recovery disc creator, you need only 1 recovery disk to restore to factory settings.

  It s, always according to the model laptop and OS how many records you need, but if only 1 disc was required there s enough and begin the installation of recovery. :)

  Talk about confusion. Does anyone know how to get a Toshiba C660 work after the HARD drive failed and the owner has stupidly NOT followed the instructions to make a recovery disk. Will be the recovery disk (if buy you one from Toshiba) rebuild the new HARD disk with a new recovery partition and install windows 7 (original OS) and accept the product key printed on the Windows license, attached to the base of the laptop. I have read a number of suggestions, but these have been considered incorrect by others.

  Surely, Toshiba must have a way to sort this problem.

  I don't think it's really complicated, that I could find all the information about the recovery procedure in the user's manual

  The recovery disk must be created on the first day of purchase its recommended to create one in case something would be wrong with the HARD drive.

  The recovery disk contains an image. The image is a package containing Win system, drivers, tools and all the stuff pre-installed on the notebook.
  You bought the laptop and the system has already been activated so that you have need of t the key placed at the bottom of the unit.
  In addition, the use of the recovery disc formats the drive HARD integer (partitions too) and set the laptop in the same condition as at the first day of the purchase.

  There is also another option to recover the notebook called HARD drive recovery. This HARD drive recovery requires no recovery disk. The recovery disc HARD would be to use format ONLY partition C (System).

  I have a table that contains 2 million records at the time (07:00) and the inserted rows of 1 million Swiss francs to (07:02) and committed my only.
  Now, I took a backup hot all the time base (07:02).
  and by 07:05 I have deleted 1 record million and pledged my transaction.
  
  Now I need my all 3 million rear lines, then thought to perform a
  time based incomplete recovery.
  
  Here are the steps I've done...
  
  (1) I stop the database.
  (2) copied all the hot of all data files backup and restored to its original location.
  (3) has started the instance and mounted.
  3) issued the command of recovery

  Yes. When you are prompted for the ArchiveLog, provide the name of the Redo Log file.

  Note that an incomplete recovery requires an OPEN RESETLOGS and your online redo logs will be overwritten. So, once you issue an OPEN RESETLOGS, you you not a second chance to RECOVER the database. So, I recommend that you stop the instance and take cold backups online Redo Logs.

  My iMac mid-2011 has recently started to make a 'click '. Click on... Click on... Click on... "noise from the top right of the screen. Generally, this occurs when the computer is warm to the touch during the execution of a sustained load and ends shortly after the closure of the intensive application of resources.   The last accident happened when I was an hour or two in a game of Civ5.
