Recovery system has no work-says no BOOT MANAGER

Can anyone help, I did a system restore with the disks I made when I brought my windows vista 32 - bit Compac Presario CQ60-114EM, but it did not work. I now can not even start the computer normally.

What can I do to get it working and why the restoration did not work?

Help!

I got in touch with them but it's not under warranty and they charge a lot of money for adivce and their support.

is there any way to just start the computer to his usual way?

Hey gandt85

the recovery disks are to your computer how you bought

and we can not provide assistance if the recovery process does not work for you

You can make the disc incorrectly or you may have a hardware problem

We don't know even why you have been reinstalling vista

    Hello

Thanks for your answer to my question. I was about to start step 2, by performing a boot minimum when a message pops up informing that 2 programs were slowing down my computer and also to stop because they were also running. Ironically, these programs I've ever used has appeared on my computer advertising protection against viruses and to speed up the computer.

I did not purchase the license if it comes to start up all the 3 or 4 days telling me that my computer is slow.

I uninstalled both programs, which I won't mention for obvious reasons and the event system Com + message did not return after the computer has restarted 3 times. Apparently, the problem has been resolved, but I will continue to have oversight. If the problem returns I'll restart and inform you about the results.  Thanks again for your expertise. guavaridgemb

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

I understand that when you turn on the computer, you get an error message indicating that COM + has event system stopped working. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will certainly help the question of fixing.

Please follow the steps and check the question below:

    Step 1:

Check the event viewer for the logs of error from the links below.

  • My recovery CD does not work, says bad Machine

I have a recovery CD that I used throughout. I used this CD before, but now when I try to use it it gives me the error message bad camera. I took it for repair and after that hats when I started having this problem. Am suspecting that they installed windows XP operating system that is not for Toshiba machine. My model is the Satellite Pro 6100 series. Help, please.

    Hello

    The case is clear!
The laptop has been repaired but the DMI was not updated by the service partner!
DMI is stored on the system board and sometimes if the information string is empty or incorrect the recovery CD can be recognized as correct.

The DMI string contains, among other things, the model number of the system.
When you use the recovery CD to recreate the image on a system, the installation process examines the DMI string and compares this string to the image being restored to ensure that the right image is applied to the correct machine.

It seems that you have to contact service again for good luck DMI update guys

    Hello

Code 39 means that the driver is corrupted or missing.

Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
    the question.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

Also check with your system manufacturer to see if there are any updated drivers for your DVD. Or even if it
are you can reinstall the 'old'. Many use Windows default drivers however some special aura

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    Hi Norfolk broad,

    Remember to make changes?

Method 1:  Put the computer to boot and then check if the problem persists

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.
After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

  • Custody of "Dell support system has stopped working" poop upward and do not know how to correct the problem. I probably have 200 per day. Help...

I need to know how to solve this problem. Thank you

    Hello

You have a problem with the Dell supplied software.

    Contact Dell.

    http://support.Dell.com/

Or you might ask the Dell Support Forums.

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/default.aspx

    See you soon.

  • Dell 1520 my son is running xp and has decided to stop the boot...

the exact error message at startup after the DELL sign turns black is ' Windows didn't start because the following file is missing or damaged:

    \System32\hal.dll.

How can I load a copy of this file on a disk and then start the computer with the disk in the drive and get it to the top and enough to do a restore of the system running.

I do not have the system restore disk.

It is extremely unlikely that there is anything wrong with the hal.dll file.

Even if you want to replace it, you should know which of the 7 possible hal.dlls on the XP installation CD you need.

I have never replaced a hal.dll file in my life for this problem.

Interpret the message means that XP just cannot find the file either because the NTFS file system got corrupted (maybe from a power outage) or the c:\boot.ini file tell XP to search for the file in the right place.

    Answer these common questions:

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

You can create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and always start with a chkdsk/r running on your system (which may be just what you need to do).  If that's not straighten out, we can use the same CD bootable to recreate your c:\boot.ini file.

    Here's how to start:

Use the XP Recovery Console to check the file system on your HARD drive and fix the problems and then try to start your system - this may be all you need to do.  Alternatively, you could start trying things that might work.

Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.
